Price was horrendous. They were specific on the model number to be installed. Their price was outrageous for the model that was installed.

It is still in progress, but at the end, just waiting for pool to fill. They call everyday to see if the pool has filled yet. Then they will come out to adjust chemicals. Started on time. Everyone got right to work, and worked very hard.

I have used Blue Horizon in the past, so I was familiar with the company and the way they do business. Even so, I feel compelled to sing their praises over yet another job well done. I had to have the light niche and fixture in my pool replaced and some trouble shooting done relating to the spa and leaks. Everything they did was done in a professional manner, and they treated us with the courtesy, respect and cheerfulness we have come to expect from BHP+S. Quite simply, they did what needed to be done at the price they quoted, in the time frame they specified, and all with a smile on their face. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

They started on a Thursday, delivered the diamond Brite compound Friday, showed up early Monday and stayed most of the day until it was complete. They came back the following two days to add the chemicals and give me instructions to follow to complete the cleaning and brushing process. Everyone involved were extremely nice and professional. Pool looks great!

Excellent. Pool Technician Brian was puntual, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, cheerful and efficient. His price was reasonable.

Went great. Brian was awesome. On time and kept me well informed on what was going on since the parts were not in stock and took some time to come in. I will use these guys moving forward.

The technician was professional, made a proper assessment of the repairs needed. The follow-up was scheduled shortly thereafter at which time the technician returned to complete the work. The price was very fair and all went well.

After meeting with 4 different pool renovation companies to discuss and price our project, we decided to go with Blue Horizons. First of all, Marty was professional, honest and thorough. He took the time to listen to our needs and was patient enough to explain all of the details even before we committed to hiring him. Marcus, our foreman was fantastic! He was always punctual and communicated every step so well. Every facet of the project reassured me that we had made the right choice. From the tile guy, to the paver crew, to the finish crew, I was blown away at their attention to detail, their efficiency and their ability to keep the job-site clean and project moving along. Wanda was very responsive and helpful when I called in for follow-up questions, and their team quickly resolved any questions/concerns I had after the job was completed. My family and I are so glad we went with Blue Horizons! We highly recommend them!!

The finish on the pool was poorly done, it is uneven. Shortly after stains starting showing up on the new finish. At this point, I had already paid in full and it was obvious they wanted nothing to do with me. A few days I hear back from a Blue Horizon's representative who told me that if I wanted the stains removed I would have to pay $125 for a visit. I had just paid nearly $3,000 for the pool resurface and they don't care what happens once they have your money. It seems they are mostly interested on quantity, not quality. I would not recommend this company. If do decide to hire this company do not pay until 2 weeks after the job is done so you know there are no issues.

We moved to WA and needed a company to maintain our 30,000 gallon (big!) salt water pool for renters. Blue Horizon was recommended and they have been a dream to work with. weekly service by Jason has maintained this wonderful pool and it was an asset in selling the house 2 + years later. They were always quick to respond if there was an issue. The office staff was wonderful and billing a breeze. Excellent response, was contacted within 24 hours and arranged a consultation meeting with Marty. We discussed the scope of works and he explained the process and more importantly the options available. He provided me with a full documentation package that included all certs/insurances. He then submitted a very competitive quote within the agreed timeline and I have agreed to commence the works within a mutually agreeable timeline. A very professional outfit.

Great, work was completed as scheduled

My first interaction with Blue Horizons (BH) was with Marty Olson, the VP and sales man. After he came by and we talked, he gave me some reading material and the next day sent me an estimate that included the various options we discussed. I phoned the office with my selections and asked that Marty come to my house to help me select pavers, paver style, tiles and Diamond Brite finishes as I am partially color blind not am not good at imaging what the finished project would look like. Marty brought samples in his truck and help me select a tile that had colors of both the pavers and pool finish. His patience was much appreciated. And the finished job is stunning and I smile every time I see it. BH has experts for each part of the project. Anthony and Kevin came to do the demolition. They spent a lot of time prepping intakes and returns before they started with the jack hammers. Mike was next to install the tile. On the photo I have included, you can see his craftsmanship. It was a pleasure to watch him at work. It was perfect. Next Rogerio came to install the bull nose pavers and the deck drain. I have included photos of a curved area of the pavers. They were done with precision and far exceeded my expectations. With the deck drain we ran into a problem with pool pump plumbing in the way. Rogerio did an outstanding job of cutting the drain and angling it so it was able to drain through. The included photo shows that outstanding work. Then he and two assistants finished the deck. After the Diamond Bright was installed, Kevin #2 came to do final cleaning sand off the pavers, taking the tape off the deck drain and adding pool chemicals on a Friday, and then he was back again on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the next week tweaking the chemicals. He would phone me at 7:45 am (give or take two minutes) each of those days to give me a one or two hour window for his visit to me. And he was always on time. BH does not use contractors. The men who worked on my pool and deck were very nice and a pleasure to have around.

AMAZING! We were so impressed with this company - from start to finish, they are true professionals and we couldn't be happier with our pool. When Marty came to look at the job and give us an estimate, he was courteous, respectful and above all he knows pools. He gave us recommendations on what would work best and helped us make design decisions. After signing the contract, he was quick to answer questions and worked with us as we made changes and additions to the original plan. They kept us in the loop via email and phone calls. They called to confirm when they would start and always arrived on time. The crew worked so incredibly well together - it was like a well-oiled machine! Marcus, the foreman, was beyond professional. Arriving early, staying late, making sure everything was being done correctly and that the job site was left clean after everyone left every day. Communication was excellent. There were never any surprises and the end result.......BEAUTIFUL! Every time we are in our pool we feel like we are in a resort. It came out THAT great. I was dreading this project as the bar is pretty low for pool companies to perform quality work timely. I found Blue Horizon on Angie's List and got 2 other companies to give me proposals as well. They were all within a few hundred dollars of each other but I liked that Blue Horizon used only employees to do the work and not subs. Marty came out and after taking measurements, sent me the proposal the next day. No deposit was needed until they started work. After I signed, he got back to me with a start date of 7/21, which was 6 weeks away. I thought there would be no way they would start on time so I was prepared for the phone call to say it was going to be delayed. Well I got a phone call on about 7/18 asking if I was going to be home on the 21st as they will be starting demo. I was shocked. I paid my 50% deposit over the phone and signed the contract when they came out. Two guys showed up, and completed the demo including the bond koting in one day. So now I thought I probably won't see anyone for a couple of weeks. Wrong again, the tile guys arrived on Monday and completed that phase by mid-Wednesday. We had 6x6 tiles inside the pool and 2x6 bullnose on the top. They forgot one small step tile in the spa and when I called on Thursday, they sent someone out the same day to take care of that. On Friday, the plaster crew showed up at 8am and were done by 1pm. They started filling the pool before they left. The following Monday, Kevin came out to turn the pool on, put chemicals in, and gave me instructions. That's when I paid the balance. He was out 2 more times to rebalance and make sure everything was working. So from start to finish, 7/21 to 7/29........9 days! What a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend Blue Horizon for any pool work. They truly made it a painless experience. The work was done professionally and they cleaned up after each day. Very responsive as well.

The woman who scheduled the service was very professional and let me know the timeframe for the work as well as the estimated cost. The technician called Monday morning to let me know what time he'd be out at the house and arrived precisely on time. Work was done quickly and a new valve installed. He took time to discuss the pool equipment with me and made a few tweaks and suggestions on maintenance and eventual repair and replacement (filter & pump are near EOL). Price was as quoted and very fair. I will definitely call on them again if I have any other issues with my pool.

They were wonderful. They did everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it and at exactly the price quoted. The fact that there was a $150 Angies List coupon mad the price significantly below the other estimates. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I had my pool resurfaced in April 2015. About 14 months later I began seeing a dark spot (about 18 inches in diameter) and very evident color variations. Blue Horizons was quick to respond when I inquired about the problem. Without charge, they performed an acid wash to the pool. This required about 25 gallons of muriatic acid and subsequently putting significant amounts of alkalinity to reestablish the proper pH level. The process took over a week with daily visits to monitor and service the pool. I am pleased with the outcome...the variations in surface color are now minor and much more acceptable. I commend Blue Horizons for their responsiveness. The company exemplifies honesty and integrity. I would not hesitate to use their services in the future or recommend them to others.

Everyone was very professional and proficient at their job and we couldn't be happier with the renovation of our pool. All the different workers came when they were supposed to and were friendly and courteous. The work they did was first rate and our pool looks great. We highly recommend this company.

We are very happy with the beautiful renovation of our pool and patio. Everyone was professional and the different stages of the job were coordinated well. They started a day early which was great and finished the following week. Brian has been very nice and helpful getting the pool up and running. We would definitely recommend Blue Horizons.

Within 24 hours of calling Blue Horizons Pools and Spas, Inc. to discuss my needs I heard back from the owner and we set up an appointment to meet at my home. We discussed the existing issues with my pool and he made recommendations based on my concerns and his observations. We discussed previous work that was done on my pool and he explained what he would do differently, not just for a better esthetic result, but from a functional perspective as well. Within a few days of viewing samples of interior pool finishes and tile pavers I was provided with a quote which I though was very reasonable. We signed an agreement and the work was scheduled. From the first day of construction until completion of the project each crew member was polite, showed a great interest in doing a good job, and cleaned up before they left for the day. I was particularly impressed with everyone's attention to detail, especially from the crew that installed the pavers. Despite some inclement weather the project was completed within the projected time frame. Most importantly, the final product turned out nicer than we originally anticipated. From the onset we were promised high quality work and I must say that Blue Horizon has delivered on their promise. We originally considered hiring Blue Horizon based on favorable feedback from previous customers. Hopefully my feedback will be beneficial to other perspective customers as they search for a respectable pool company.

I don't see any problems with the actual service. However, the organization seems to want to give me a hard time from the git-go. First they insisted I had to be serviced on Mondays, thereby missing many weeks due to holidays. Then the actual tech said he could only do me on Tuesdays, which I had asked for in the first place. Then instead of a door-hanger type of notification on each visit, they insisted on using a firmer card-type of document that they wanted to place in some box of the pump, which I do not want to deal with. I asked them to put it in the door. But then they expected me to be able to stick it in the door each week (from the inside?). This card is folded in half and is filled in by the tech on each visit. When I called at the end of the month after the tech pounded on my patio door this morning, the clerk said that was the only method they would use. So I terminated their services. They just seem rather disorganized and stringent in their attitudes rather than trying to accommodate a customer. Perhaps they have more than enough so one new one doesn't matter. Potential customers just need to know this in advance.

The best company we have used in years. Prompt and professional. Answered all questions. Prompt response to any concerns. The owner came out to check on the job himself and check in with his team.

It is so refreshing to work with a company that actually does what they promise and on time. Working with the Blue Horizons staff was a wonderful experience. Marty came to our home on the day and time promised and was very helpful in helping us to decide what renovations and additions were needed. The crew worked with us to ensure that we were satisfied with things such as placement of the pump pipes,and location of the fountains. They were careful to protect our landscaping and to leave the premises in a clean condition each day. I was practically pleased with Brian. He showed up everyday on time and made sure that I understood the process. He reinstalled the chlorinator, and came back twice to check for any leaks and to make sure everything was working properly. The office staff was a pleasure to work with. They made sure that any concerns I had where addressed promptly and were always able to answer my questions. So my pool light shorted out (for the fourth time). When I called the pool company I had been dealing with before I realized that the tech had never replaced the cord that comes with the lamp (I buy the replacement lamps through Amazon because it's cheaper and the lamp comes with a 100 ft. cord). The tech would just patch the lamp to the existing cord. This tech also had failed to diagnose a problem with the remote switch that the lamp is connected to. So they were charging me $150 for an installation that was taking him maybe 10 minutes at most. When I realized this I decided to find a new company and this is where Blue Horizons comes in. I contacted Blue Horizons and a lot of our communication was through the messaging system here which I loved because I was able to work and still communicate with them without having to stress out about calling anyone back and forth. I explained what I needed and they promptly responded and we scheduled everything. I received a call from the tech on the day of the appointment and because I wasn't present (I left someone else in charge) the tech even called me back to explain everything that he did. They replaced the pool light and they made a point to replace the cord. He even thanked me for keeping the water nice and warm. They replaced the GFCI outlet for free which was amazing of them. They diagnosed an additional problem with a remote switch that needs to be replaced and game me a quote for the price of the part and the labor. I intend to call them tomorrow or Monday to schedule that repair. All in all I think the work they did was awesome and they were punctual and professional and very attentive. I look forward to working with them in the future for all my future pool repair needs.
