Response from Dunstan & Son Plumbing Co Inc
At Dunstan & Son Plumbing, we pride ourselves on professionalism and do our best to ensure our customers are treated fairly and are satisfied with the work we perform. We were initially called on the weekend of July 1st, 2013, and inspected the bad lift station pump at the customer's home. We returned the following Monday to replace the pump at an agreed price of $675. Due to our company not being licensed for electrical work, an extension cord was used and the customer was told that they needed to contact an electrician to supply proper power to the lift station. Without the cord, the pump would not work. On August 30th, we received partial payment. Our company returned on September 10th when called that the pump was not working. The pump had been clogged from plastic and wipes that were flushed from the home, and once pulled and cleaned, we reinstalled it. This trip accounted for the second bill. Only one pump was ever installed. After several unanswered calls, we were finally able to contact the customer on January 10th, 2014, and agreed on $350 to pay off the remaining $525 bill on her account. We returned on September 2nd, 2014, to repair a leak under the slab of her home and again reminded that an electrician was needed. Dunstan & Son Plumbing, without doubt, has done this job correctly. We will refund the $650 we received for the pump, only deducting the recent service call for the slab leak we repaired. Thank you Angie's List for letting us respond and to the customers who have taken the time to read this.
