Description of Work: This is the second time I have used JoChas to move; the first time out of a house into a 2nd floor walk-up 2 BR condo, this time from the 2 BR condo to another 2nd floor walk-up 2 BR condo. The guys arrived on time, were very professional yet friendly, worked very hard and fast (finished the move within the 2-hour deal I had paid for) and took good care of my belongings. I would recommend them to anyone (and have) and will use them again if I need to. Also, the office staff is terrific, even helped me find someone to haul away some unwanted items I had since we don't have bulk trash pickup at the condo complex. That was a lifesaver as well.

Everything went great!
Description of Work: The two well mannered men arrived at my home on time to help me with my moving process. They came prepared with bubble wrap and cover cloths to protect my furniture. My items were wrapped neatly and quickly moved on to the truck and brought to the destination of my new residence. The two men then unloaded very carefully and unwrapped my furniture and put back together what was needed . Doing so all in the time I was compensated for with a little extra time to chat !! Very pleased I'd recommend them to any and everyone!!!

Description of Work: I saw this company on the site and contacted them because I had questions about my move in day. They told me not to use Angie's list, which was a HUGE mistake!! 😳 They went way over the time they quoted me for moving just two blocks away. I responded to a $99 dollar promotion and was actually charged over $800.00. They damaged my sofa, lost screws to my bed frame and lied to me! They were agreeing to offer me just a $64.00 credit that they couldn't justify. This credit was contingent upon me writing a positive review about the company, which I declined. Their operations are shady and I didn't want another consumer to experience what I did. The case is still being investigated by my bank. So for anyone considering this VERY shady company, please keep looking! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Description of Work: Purchased offer, I called to schedule move, then I had call back 48hr prior to reschedule, they wanted to charge me a $90 cancellation fee- I never received any discloser or signed anything in relation to acknowledging the cancellation policy. They openly admitted that they have no record of me signing any such notice or discloser in regard to their cancellation policy. Watch out for additional fees!

Thanks for leaving us a review. We appreciate your feedback. Same day cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee and $90 isn't our fee. You weren't charged at all for cancelling your services when we should have per our company policy. We charge a fee because we turn down moves when a customer could of had your time slot, therefore we lose money as a company. We do understand emergencies outside of your control can happen and we make exceptions if this is the case. Our cancellation fees are outlined in our confirmation we email to all of our customers and any other fee is discussed at the time of booking. No one likes surprises at the end of their move and that's not how we handle business. We believe in being fair and we will continue to provide our customers with a positive moving experience.

Jochas gave me a flat rate for my move. Several other moving companies wanted to charge per mile, on top of labor and a whole bunch of other things. I called Jochas and spoke directly to the owner. I told him where I was moving to and the bulk furniture I had he gave me a set price right then and there on the spot. I have referred them to friends who will use them in the future.

My other movers backed out on me at the last minute so luckily as friend referred me to JoChas. They were able to schedule my move right away! I was so relieved. They were on time, and came ready to work. They broke down my bed, wrapped all of my furniture and was very careful with it. They were very professional (some movers can be jerks). I was so pleased with their service that I tipped them an extra $100 bucks!! I am constantly moving around so I am familiar with several moving companies and they tend to be rip offs. They want to over charge, and then charge me per mile... my move would have easily been $800! JoChas is amazing and I have recommended it to all of my friends.
