It went great!!! The crew was fantastic to work with - they were very friendly, energetic and hardworking. Overall, we had a great experience and we highly recommend them.

We hired JoChas to move from 1 apartment to another in the same complex. Others came in with higher costs to us while they were within reason to our budget. Move went exactly as planned. Movers showed up during the time span he estimated. They both were professional and treated our furnishings with care. I would highly reccommend these professionals!!

I called JoChas on Monday to arrange for a move on Wednesday. I had originally called at the end of the previous week to schedule due to the great reviews on Angie's List; however, no one answered and I got a text saying that someone would call me back shortly...no one did. When I got to Charles, the owner, he apologized yet swore to me he had returned my call. It was the first of many excuses. He was great at explaining the services in the number of people, size of truck, etc. I mentioned the deal on Angie's List ($350 for a 26-foot truck, 3 man crew, 3 hours). He said he would honor the deal no matter what but I could pay directly through him as it would be quicker and only require a $100 deposit and the rest later. I was okay with this due to the great reviews. He said for the 3-man crew they had an arrival time of between 1-3. I told him that my complex is strict on vendors being done by 5pm and so arrival at 3 wouldn't work. He assured me it would closer to 1 if not between 12-1230 as the person who was scheduled before me had an extremely small move and "unless they were a hoarder it shouldn't take very long." I made sure that my husband was home by 1130 to accommodate their arrival. I called JoChas at 2:14 (I took pictures of my phone log) to see where the movers were as I was headed to a meeting. Their was no answer and my call was not returned. I called again at 2:40 once I was done and spoke to Charles. He did not even apologize for their delay at first just told me that it was not his fault and that he did not expect the person before me to shove a 3-bedroom house into a 1-bedroom condo. As a customer, I don't care about excuses, I just want the job done. He said the guys should be finished in 20-30 minutes and would be right over. They actually called me while I was on the phone with Charles and said the same thing, when I told them that Charles said they would be there between 12-1230 the guys actually started laughing. I was shocked. I again called Charles when they still were not there at 315. He was very short and rude on the phone, stating that our contract said 130-330. I first mentioned that I had no contract, never seen one, never emailed one, and the receipt he e-mailed said nothing on times. I also said it was 1-3 and that I know that was the technical block but it was not what was verbally promised was different. He said they were running behind but should still make it by the 330 block. He never would repeat that he stated 12-1230 originally. I told him that in all honestly I wouldn't have minded them being later than originally promised but he should have the courtesy to call his client, apologize and let them know that he underestimated his earlier job. He asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day but at this point I had already locked in an early pick-up for the Pod. Had he called me early in the day I could have changed the time of the Pod pick-up and rearranged my schedule to assist us both. In the end they did not arrive until 415. The 3 gentleman (I wish I remembered their names, I wrote it down and lost it in the move) who showed up arrived in a Penske-truck that was NOT the 26-foot advertised in the Angie's List listing. I had a 16-foot Pod and they could not fit all of my furniture in the truck. (Due to restrictions in the complex, they had to place the Pod a good ways away from our apartment and it was necessary for our furniture to be moved from the Pod to the truck to the apartment) It was approximately a 16-foot Penske truck. A lot of our furniture got damaged in the move, that JoChas would not accept as their fault. However, they were extremely rushed from the moment they arrived as they still had another job after they finished with me. They also had some lady bring them lunch as they had not had a break all day and hadn't eaten. This all went into my time, I let it go because I felt bad for these 3 guys all who were polite and wanted to do a good-job, but how can you do a good-job when you are rushed, get no break, and are scheduled 14-hour days without overtime???? They also damaged some of my furniture as it clearly wasn't fitting up the stair-well as it was yet they kept trying and jamming it into the stairs. If it doesn't fit the first time it isn't going to fit the 2nd or 3rd. Our large bookshelf my husband actually had to assist in moving. They actually said it wasn't going to fit but my husband was the one who told them it would and made it work after accurately measuring the space. The supervisor of the job took pictures of the main damages. Home Depot gave me some information on how to fix the minor damages and it honestly wasn't worth the trouble of fighting with Charles. I am still waiting for information on when they going to fix the huge chunk taken out of my front door and the chunk taken out of my wall in the hallway. The guys were rushing and honestly I blame Charles for the damage, not the guys. I spoke to Charles during the move to let him know how unhappy I was. Again he was short, rude and appeared to not care about me or what I thought of the way he was handling this. He told me the guys would be done in less than 30-minutes and I knew that wasn't going to happen as I was at the site and he wasn't. His supervisor also tried to tell him they weren't going to be finished in 30 but Charles insisted they would be. He seems very far removed from what actually happens at a move. He needs to stop telling and trust and listen to his guys, they are the ones at the site. On every move I have ever done (and that is A LOT) the movers always bring a contract that is signed and dated. It mentions basic information about the move as well as start and end times. JoChas had none of that. The guys finished at 710...5 minutes before our 3-hour mark. The supervisor tried telling the lady that on the phone but she kept saying that we went over on time and they were going to charge me for extra. It took the supervisor 5 times saying we did not go over for them to finally agree. Also, they charged $25 for gas and mileage. This is not mentioned anywhere on the Angie's List site and reviews and for those who pay through Angie's I know they don't charge them extra. 5 days later I still have not heard from Charles and JoChas in regards to the damage done and will be filing an insurance claim. I tipped the gentlemen $10/hour per guy in addition to the charges from JoChas. I honestly feel the problem is with management and not the movers. If they were paid properly, given proper breaks (things required by law) I feel they wouldn't be as rushed and would do a proper job.

Arrived on time , were courteous and did what would be expected for the price charged. They did need some cautioning as to being careful with the way some of the pieces were packed. I was well prepaired for them , with all the furniture disassembled and waiting in the living room. Therefore they were able to finish the move well within the allotted time.

I had them move a few pieces of furniture about 25 minutes away, and they did a pretty good job. There were a few other fees, but they were upfront about it. They handled everything well and nothing was broken or anything.

Moved art and furniture in town for us. Did a wonderful job, ontime, very professional and pleasant to work with. Would recommend to anyone.

Disappointing. Waste of time.

They were suppose to be 249 for three hours, he took them 45 hours for just to get everything in moving from small. The take that long before it was whether they're doing it on purpose. They were asking for more money but whether we took all day for them to just take everything in to the new place because only 45 minutes away, my husband had to help with the entire group. He's working with four people and at the end of it they wanted $700. Terrible. It was a group of three guys, two of them were really bad and unprofessional so one of them was an older gentleman, he was the only one that who knew what he's supposed to do. I would not use them again in the future.

Excellent service provided by the three guys from JoChas Moving. Arrived as scheduled. Wrapped furniture in blankets. Drove to Public Storage to unload some items. Then drove to the main drop off house and placed furniture items in the designated rooms. Also accommodated last minute request to drop off bookcases at another house in another town. All within the 3 hours. $25 extra charge for gas. Would recommend again

Jochas Moving and Delivery provided exceptional service in my local move. The 3 movers were fast and very efficient and the price was very satisfactory considering the other companies I had researched. I will definitely use them again for any future moves.

Both men were very professional. They got the sofa bed through the front door without knicking anything. I would definitly hire this company again.

There are not enough adjectives to describe how SUPER this company is! From the very first phone call, answered by Joann, to Charles calling to discuss the move ... and then the move itself ... PERFECT, PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, PROMPT, EFFICIENT (Shall I go on?) The crew called en route, just like I was told they would. They arrived right in the middle of the one hour estimated time window & hit the ground running. Chris asked me for a quick overview of the job. While I walked him around, the rest of the crew was already starting. They took care with the fragile items. Moving is a nightmare & JoCha's is helping make it tolerable. Parts 2 & 3 are still a month or so down the road, but I will be using JoCha's for both of them. Hope I get the same crew. What a load off my mind! (pardon the pun) Regards, Robert

It took 4 hours to load, two hour to unload. Tow hour move is very unrealistic, and unless you have just a couple of boxes, this service does not offer any savings to the customer. It's just a good marketing hook. Then services are charged $150 an hour, in half an hour increments. It becomes very expensive very quick.

I took advantage of the $350 moving special for 3 hs and 3 men. Charles, the owner was very professional, explained everything, including the fact that after 3hs, an hourly rate of $150 would apply. He also was very accommodating with my short-notice move in date. Little did I know that the crew he sent consisted of two experienced guys and a third guy "new" or "in training". It was as if only two guys showed up, which ended up costing me more money for a move that could have been done in 3hs. He also banged up my walls. Often times the new guy that stood up doing nothing watching his buddies move stuff. Very disappointing when you are paying by the hour... Charles did not follow up on my request to give me a partial refund. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Charles the owner called me and we were able to schedule service for the following Saturday for arrival between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. He explained that there would be an additional $20 charge for gas and mileage in my area and that if I needed more time it would be at their regular rates ($150.00 per hour) based on half hour increments. On the Saturday of the move I received a call from the driver letting me know that they would be arriving in approx. 25 min. This had them arriving just after 4:00 in the afternoon. We did not have a lot of stuff to move, just the things that were too bulky to put in a car or SUV. The moved a sectional sofa, queen bed, 2 twin beds, a grill and misc other items. They arrived when they said they would and quickly loaded our items into a large moving truck. The truck was much larger than was needed for the items we had. Most of the items were wrapped and well tied down although not necessarily organized since they did not need all the space the truck had. They had everything loaded in well under an hour and then followed us to our new place. We were moving from a 1st floor condo to a 1 story house so there were no issues with access or anything like that. They had the items unloaded and in the house in under the 2 hours do there were no overage charges. The only issue was that the twin bed frame had to be taken apart in order to get it through the hallway and into the bedroom but that was quickly taken care of. Overall, I think they did a good job and I would use them again if I needed to move bulky items.
