We bought the deal for 4 movers for 4 hours and thought that would be plenty of time to move a 3/2. The guys were on time, nice and worked hard, but it simply wasn't enough time and the over charge amount is quite high. Next time we will require an in person estimate to make sure we have a better idea of the effort and can plan accordingly.

The movers showed up (more or less on time) and informed me (since my container had not gotten there yet) that would NOT start the clock and went back to their truck. AN HOUR LATER, without having done ANY work, they return to my house and informed me that they WOULD start the clock (per the manager) and that I had lost an hour!!! WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT?? Had I have known, I would have gotten them started on wrapping the furniture and disassembling the furniture. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! After the container was loaded, I get a call from the manager of the company requesting payment for two things (I prepaid through Angie's List, I did not understand.) 1) The additional hour we went over (which we would NOT have gone over had they started when they got there instead of sitting in their car) and 2) for a fuel surcharge (WHAT FUEL DID I USE??? I did not use their truck, only the mover services). There was NO MENTION of This was completely UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They charged me an additional $90 for these two things for NO REASON!!! All in all, I was completely dissatisfied with their UNPROFESSIONALISM and lack of RESPECT!! Poor communication all around!!

Horrible. The provider lied and no work was done. I want a refund. I had to scramble to find another mover and move afer my lease was up.

It wasn't that great, but they got the job done. It ended up being a lot more expensive and actually almost twice the amount of the deal. They kind of up-sold me. Basically the deal and everything was great but the workers were like passive aggressive, so they took their sweet time. They basically knew if they hit an extra hour or an hour-and-a-half they would be able to really charge me a lot more money and that's exactly what they did. I'm a little bit disappointed. The next time, if I have to move, I'm going to look for a flat fee company. I liked how Angie's List was helpful with setting up the coupon, but this moving company wasn't good. There are a lot of moving companies and most of them were similar in range, but the problem is that they really went out of their way to charge me more. They didn't destroy anything and were pretty responsive. They showed up on time, but they took long doing everything on purpose. The guys were nice but I could tell that they were trying to hustle me.

They were on time, explained all the steps and did a excellent job. Very satisfied with the service.

When I originally scheduled the appointment I advised Joanne that they would be moving a jukebox from one house to another. When Joanne called to confirm the move the night before she spoke to my wife and was surprised about the jukebox. They had not originally scheduled a truck with a power lift gate or ramp. When the truck arrived in the morning it did have a power lift gate, but no ramps or straps for moving the juke box down the three exterior stairs at the front door. The driver explained that this was not his regular truck, but he was using it because of the lift gate and it had just come from being serviced and was missing supplies. The movers struggled and were able to get the juke box down the stairs, but it was not what I would have expected from professional movers. Another issue; I purchased this service through Angie's list Big Deal. When Joanne confirmed the night before the move she indicated that there would be an additional fuel charge of $45. That was never indicated in the Big Deal. I feel it was in very poor form to indicate this fee the night before the move. It probably would not have affected my decision to select them, but it is not a professional way to do business. Having said that I would consider using them again. The workers were great and did all they could to facilitate the move. In the future I would make sure that they have all the equipment they need before they arrive at the jobsite, and all fees are fully disclosed at the time the work is scheduled.

It was not the greatest. The men were fantastic. There were a couple of cartons of fragile glass kitchen that was totally smashed. They told me you should have saved them and taken pictures but I did not. It took my about 4-5 phone calls to get a response. They were on time.

Everything was completed in a friendly, professional manner.

They were good. Price was reasonable.

I have never seen movers move to quickly. There was no down time, and they were really respectful of our time. They also carefully wrapped every item and ensured that we had inspected each after unpacking.

They were very nice and professional and I would definitely recommend them again. Melvin and Chris were their names. They called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. It was all done in the time frame allotted for the move.

Dave was the manager, his son and one other young man, they were polite, friendly and very efficient. Finished before the 3 hours I hired them for. I would definitely use this company again.

they jacked up their "after package" rate b/c I was angies list. but b/c I was an angies list special it was waaaay more expensive that the price listed on their website AND the package I bought was for a one bed/one bath...which is basically what I had but it took them like three extra hours so if their package was for one bed one bath, it shouldn't have taken them three extra hours especially since "the move" was only like 15 minutes away

Ouch! That is what my furniture is saying and what my wallet will be saying as we replace and repair 10 pieces of furniture. Let's start at the beginning. I contacted JoChas over a month in advance to plan this move. The lady on the phone was polite and professional. I was happy as I felt I had made the right choice. They confirmed a few days in advance, and again I was pleased and did not anticipate any issues. Then things started to go wrong. The day before the move the company called about the start time. They were having mechanical problems with their truck and wanted to push the time back and hour or so. They actually showed up 3 hours late. Luckily, we had reserved the elevator for the whole day. After the move was complete, the total charge was a few hundred dollars more than expected for loading time and extra fees for moving a small safe. My husband paid them. not wanted to hassle about it, and they left. He did not think to do a piece-by-piece inspection - but I sure wish he had!! Over the next couple of weeks, as we started to arrange the furniture, we kept noticing damage. Every day we noticed more. Some were small issues but some damage was pretty bad, ruining Scan Design bedroom furniture and leather living room furniture. Many of the pieces were less than 2 years old and had been delivered new to the condo that we just moved from so this was not prior damage. Wood was scratched (deeply in some cases) and dented, metal legs were scraped and leather corners were torn. I sent an email to JoChas with 5 photos, only half of the issues. I don't know what I expected but I thought there would be some feedback. I never received a response. I am so disappointed as I really thought we would not have to worry given this company's position on Angie's List. But it goes to show you that things change. UPDATE: after submitting this review yesterday, I did receive an email from JOChas that they received my initial complaint and would review and get back to me. If they offer some type of resolution I will update this review accordingly. UPDATE #2: it has been one more week, never heard back from them again. In the end, I'm out $15,000.

Bought 3 hours on line through Angies List. Took much longer and ended up much more expensive. Major issue was that I thought they told me over the phone each hour over the first three was $75 and at the end, they told me it was $75.00 each 1/2 hour. It might have been my mistake. However, these are details which should have been specified on Angie's List. Movers were great.

It went well... very well... not what I had anticipated given the three floors of moving and the size of the items. So appreciated!!!!

They called me a week ahead to confirm appointment, the day before the appointment and two hours before appointment. They arrived on time, moved with urgency and were very professional. I am using them again for a upcoming move for my parents.

She was nervous handling a move without her parents. However the company was very professional, and quickly worked to disassemble the IKEA furniture and move it from the condo to her storage unit. The entire process took about 2 hours and she felt they treated her with respect. Would use them again. Thanks
