The movers arrived on time. They wrapped the furniture and my glassware. The young men were courteous and very professional. They also helped me move my dining room set so I could lay a new area rug. This is my second move with Jochas Moving. The move was stress free and I will recommend them to friends and I would use them again personally.

Nice people with good attitude. But when delivering an item was damaged. It was placed in a way that I could not see the damage until moving it. I only realized it after they left. One of the people probably noticed but said nothing. What a shame

JoChas Moving Company was great. When I called to schedule my move, the rep I spoke to was very clear and concise. Because my old apartment was a second story walk-up, there was an additional fee, which I was informed of in advance. There was also an additional fee for fuel/mileage, and then we discussed the hourly fee in case my move took longer than the three hours that were covered by my deal. The exact amount of the extra fees were communicated to me at the time I scheduled the move and the amount was the same on moving day. A day or two before the move, I received a call to confirm that all was going according to schedule, and to confirm the exact time window that the movers would arrive (between 8.30-9.00 am). On moving day, I received a call from the movers to inform me that they were about 45 minutes away, and they arrived exactly on time. I worked with Billy and Chris that day, and they were really great. They were very careful with the few boxes I pointed out as being fragile, and there were no damages to any of my belongings. All in all, I had a great experience using JoChas Moving Company and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

the moving company was able to accommodate my last minute request at a very fair price. they came on time and even helped me hook up the machines so that they would work. I would absolutely use them again . nothing was scratched or broken and the staff was extremely friendly. thank you!

It went well, the only thing It says two men, two hours for a truck and then I have to pay for fuel. They did charge me $35 additional for gas and other additional things. It was yesterday that we moved.

I purchased the 2 hr for 2 movers angies list coupon. Needed furniture and boxes moved from my place to my mothers house. 2 guys showed up who were not strong enough to lift an armoire. instead they decided to put it on a mat and drag it to the stairwell. they left a giant scuff mark on my mothers brand new hardwood floors from the door through the living room to the stairs. then they figured out they couldn't get it up the stairs. Worst part was they didn't even bother to take the drawers out of it to make it lighter. the company had to send two new movers the next day to finish the job. They also tried to buff out the giant scuff mark on the floors with moderate success. still can see a light scuff in the floors. then my mom told me they charged her credit card an extra 275$ for gas, an extra day, extra time of 30 min, moving furniture to 2nd floor. Gas and moving furniture to 2nd floor surcharge was never explained in angies list coupon. extra time and extra day charge were solely Jo Chas's fault because the movers they sent the first day could not move an armoire which wasn't even that heavy.

The movers arrived earlier than the start time. The truck and equipment that the company has is first rate. Both movers worked very well as a team and took care to make sure my property was safeguarded during the move. The entire move including travel took 2 hours and 3 minutes, great timing! I would definitely use them again and I do recommend them their services.

We purchased the deal from this company. They advised me that we would be charged additional costs for traveling, moving things down the stairs, and extra time ($150/hour after two hours). We weren't happy about this and felt like they were just throwing different charges at us. I just wish they would have been upfront about it or at least mentioned it in the Big Deal details.

I first spoke to the owner to schedule. Since it was only a small 2 bedroom condo and such a short distance, I inquired about maybe 2 hours and 2 men and a truck. The owner talked me in to getting 4 men for 3 hours. So the agreed price was just over $400 which I thought was on the high side for such a short move and little amount of stuff. The four men showed up on time, but with two very large trucks (I only needed one). They said that the second was for their next job, but it blocked a large part of the condo parking lot and my neighbors were not happy. Three of the men started packing but the forth one disappeared. When I asked where he went, the leader said that he was "on the truck organizing things." This was odd since they had just started packing my stuff and nothing was there to organize - yet I was paying for this fella anyway. One of the three remaining guys spent half an hour trying to break down my bed by himself. As you can tell, they did NOT use time wisely. Anyway, by the time we arrived to the house only 1.5 miles away, we were already over the 3 hour time limit. They unloaded the boxes and the same guy began to reassemble the bed. However, he lost some of the hardware in transit and took one of the trucks to Lowe's to purchase additional hardware - more wasted time. By the time they finished, the total bill was over TWICE what I had agreed to pay for this short move! RIDICULOUS!!!! I insisted on speaking with the owner, but he simply did not care at all what I had to say and that I had to "pay up." Do not use this company - they will rip you off!!!!

There was no additional cost. They didn't move me. But they packed me. They didn't bring enough boxes. They ran out of boxes. I had to provide the boxes. The packers were very nice but they were sloppy.

When I contacted the company, I informed the timeframe I needed the moving to be completed due to association rules. When they arrived, the movers were extremely slow to the point I didn't even get all furniture and household goods moved out of the condo because of the timeframe. When I scheduled the appointment, the representative requested an inventory of the items to be moved. When the movers arrived, the mover asked me if I was removing the TVs and I said yes. He immediately told me that it wasn't on his inventory list and that I would be charged an additional fee of $25 per television even though I was not informed of any additional charge when my inventory was conducted. Not to mention, when I called the company to speak with the rep, I was immediately passed off to the owner and she insisted that all her employees are fully trained and that she quoted me the television charge rather than acknowledging the error on their side. Since the movers were really late with moving, I was charged an additional $50 per hour by the association for every hour I was late moving in my furniture...I ended up paying an additional $150 out of pocket for that. The movers failed to get all my furniture into the condo appropriately; I had to pay someone else later on to move 1/2 of my sectional into the living room since movers didn't take the legs off initially in order to fit the furniture into the condo and pay for all the remaining furniture and items that were left behind in my other condo. This was another $265 I had to pay someone to do that. The following day when there was much more sunlight, I realized that the movers had scratched/dented my furniture in many places and also left many damage to my walls and doors during their move. Keep in mind,the only moved a few furniture from a one bedroom condo...headboard (they left behind the bedframe, living room sectional, dining table with chairs, 5 pieces of wall art, a small Ikea couch used in my bedroom, a small chest, a rug,and a coffee table. Everything else was left behind. The only positive thing I can say is that the movers were polite the entire time. This so-called 3 hour move that I contracted for ended up taking 7 hours due to late arrival and slow moving; it went from $320 to $920 (includes additional costs i had to pay). I would NEVER use them again nor recommend them to anyone. A complete ripoff!

Overall, I was pleased with JoChas Moving & Delivery and even recommended them to my sister. However, during the move, one of my dressers was damaged in several places. The company informed me that they provided a handyman service. They asked me to email them pictures of the piece of furniture that was damaged for their review and they would then send out the handyman. I emailed the company the pictures twice and even spoke to Barbara, the representative who answers the phone, as a follow-up to my first email. She asked me to send the email again to Joann and confirmed that it was received, but there was no follow-up. This was back in November. I understand that items will be dented and/or damaged during a move, but don't appreciate that a handyman service was offered and not provided. Due to their unprofessionalism in the, I would not use JoChas Moving & Delivery again.

Billy and his team are amazing! They worked tirelessly to get everything moved as soon as possible. They were friendly courteous and very experienced. Will use again! I had heavy big piece furniture so it was a very difficult job.

The staff was prompt, well-organized and friendly. They quickly put me at ease and proceeded to systematically assess the job and load the truck. They even finished before schedule. I was most impressed. I will most definitely recommend JoChas Moving Co.

It was A+mazing! I have moved a bunch of times and it's always hit or miss. Not the case this time! You can tell they are experienced from the get-go. They were early and wasted no time in getting started. All costs were up front, I was never given any hidden fees. When they got there, they evaluated everything and split up all the tasks. We had purchased a package for 3 guys, 3 hours. We were sure they would go over. But they were so efficient it was unbelievable! And it wasn't that they were rushing! They took their time with every piece of furniture, no matter how cheap or old. You can always tell an experienced mover and one that takes pride in doing what they are doing. They were good-humored, efficient, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. I love that it is a family business. When I spoke to Joanne on the phone I couldn't believe when she said her brother, cousin, son-in-law, basically, the whole family was doing my move! I would absolutely recommend them again. I have truly never said a move was enjoyable until now.

There were some extra fee that was not listed on the contracted and I had to pay that before they came to do the work. If the fees were listed I would have no problem.

I ordered "4 men/4 hours/$475" and scheduled my move 3 weeks in advance. Because of closing issues two days before the scheduled move, I had to reschedule for a future date. JoChas charged $50 for a rescheduling fee, which I felt was fair. The scheduling agent was VERY helpful and worked with me when I shared concerns about the possibility of having to pay *another* rescheduling fee if closing got delayed again for reasons outside of my control. The before the move, JoChas contacted me to confirm their arrival the following day between 2pm and 5pm. At 1pm the following day the movers called and told me that they were "on the way". They did not specify from where or at what time they expected to arrive, but I assumed it would be during the scheduled window. Two hours later (at 3pm... still within the scheduled window) the movers called again and said they were on the road, but that rain was slowing down their drive. They expected to arrive in about an hour. That was the last I heard from them until the knock on my door 2 1/2 hours later... at 5:30pm... after the scheduled window for arrival. The guys wrapped all my furniture in blankets and did a good job of moving. One of the guys was "newer", apparently, because I overheard two others talking about how "he shouldn't be taping those blankets... he should be using the rubber bands". While this did not affect the quality of the move, it created minor inconvenience when "de-blanketing". I also wonder if the newbie was responsible for placing a few boxes in the wrong rooms despite the fact that all boxes had color-coded labels indicating their intended destinations. Not a huge deal. The move was completed in 3 hours. Because I had "bought" 4 hours, I could have asked that they stay longer to assemble beds and such. At that point, however, I was just exhausted because of the late start and just thanked them and sent them on their way. I was a little surprised they didn't say, "Do you want us to set the bed's up?" but had they offered I still would have said, "Thanks, but no." I would certainly use JoChas again. Had they been more communicative over the hours preceding their arrival, and had they arrived within the scheduled arrival window, I would likely have given them top ratings.

The team was nice at the beginning, they came on time and they were very polite and accommodating. It started to look odd when I noticed that they only brought only 2 carts for 4 people ...I bought a $475 deal for 4 people and 4 hours. This should have done the trick as we moved 6 blocks away and into a 1 bedroom. WE ENDED UP PAYING $900!! I even helped with moving stuff to speed it up ... They did not have a sense of urgency at all !! one guy was on the phone with his boss!!!! ?? during the move!! The other ones took their time... I am not confrontational so I didn't bring it up but that's just not right !! Bottom line, I paid the price because it makes no sense to ruin your day when you are moving but I will NOT recommend this company!!!

I would NEVER USE JoChas again and I cannot recommend them. The problems started well before the scheduled date of my move. I moved from a large condo building with a strict condo association (managed by First Choice) to a house. In order to reserve a freight elevator, the condo building required proof of certain insurances. I scheduled my move with the condo building several weeks in advance of my scheduled move date and I I immediately forwarded the insurance requests to JoChas. Despite charging me $125 in fees to process the insurance forms, JoChas did not deliver the forms to my building. I had to spend several hours on the phone with Shani and Barbara from JoChas to get the forms to my building. They don't even know how to send PDF scans by email! They finally got the forms to my building 15 minutes before the cutoff time or my entire move would have had to be rescheduled. Ultimately, on the day of moving, the guys showed up about 20 minutes late. They blamed traffic ... but traffic is pretty predictable. They took a long time to complete the move and damaged the floor in my condo and some pieces of furniture. They also stole a $500 rug from me. Finally, for all of my trouble - they charged me an extra $500. That means the $475 move turned into a $1100 move plus damaged furniture and floors.

The move and everything went well but the price was crazy. The workers were fine. I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. Their work was fine. They charged me almost double for an extra hour. The deal was for a three hour move and it took them four hours. It was $279 and then they charged me $300 for another hour. It was more than twice as much for one more hour.

This was one of the easiest moves I have ever experienced!! Curtis and Smitty arrived right on time and went to work immediately. They wrapped every piece of furniture and took great care in protecting not only the furniture but also the walls and doors!! They broke down the beds and reassembled them in the new location exactly where I wanted them. They were done in the two hours that I had signed up for and that included a 20 min drive. I could not have been more impressed!! I would definitely use this company again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone needing to move!!

Went very well- arrived in time-job finished in time

This was one of the most pleasant moving experiences I have had. From the first call to inquire about their Angie's list special to the final move, everything was great. When I first called, I explained what I needed done. I was recommended for the three hour / three man package. They were even able to squeeze me in for a couple of days after the first call! The crew arrived at my home and surveyed the job. They then brought in all their pads and supplies and got right to work. These three men hustled and worked non-stop for the entire three hours. They took care to wrap all my items carefully and treated my property with care. The crew was also great. They are a great asset to the company. They were pleasant and friendly. They went out of their way to get all of my items intro the truck - which was a task in itself! Once we arrived at the new house, they humped and got everything unloaded and placed in the correct rooms. They were even able to get everything unloaded in time to avoid going over the three hour mark which saved me an additional charge! With all all the items they moved, not one piece was damaged! I have nothing but praise for the company and their employees. If you want a reliable company to move you, this is the company you want!!! Their prices are great, and their employees are the best!
