+ 3 moreContacted Karl about doing some screen repair on a few panels, replacing two screen doors, replacing two dog doors, and cleaning the gutters on our pool enclosure. Seemed very nice on the phone and sounded like doing the job would be no problem and that he would contact me after 5pm to firm up an appointment date for the following week to do the work. I was quoted 725.00 over the phone as he was sure the job would fall within a reasonable amount within that quote. I agreed and waited for his return call which never happen. I even gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he would call the following morning, and that did not happen either. To say the least, I was disappointed with someone who is on Angie's List with all the great reviews and rewards to lack the level of professionalism to return a call to do the work as agreed.

But in the process I casually mentioned the ongoing problem with the dirt washing in, never really thinking there would be a good cost-effective solution. The provider, however, offered a couple of options, one of which he recommended as more visually appealing, and offered to provide an estimate, which when received was surprisingly reasonable. I decided to accept, and upon installation my wife and I were extremely pleased with the look, the workmanship and ultimately the effectiveness of the solution. We had the cleanest pool deck and pool we've ever had here. At all times, the provider was prompt, professional,congenial and went out of his way to be sure we were happy with the work. Would absolutely recommend this provider and have!
Description of Work: Replaced torn pool enclosure screens, repaired enclosure doors, installed panels at the base of enclosure, solving a problem with dirt washing into pool area where screens were attached, but still preserving the view.

He assessed the work (young grandson had run through the screen door over holidays and ripped it), went to truck for materials and repaired door right on upstairs balcony. We have a beautiful view from that room and the technician said "I finished job once and saw that the screen had a line running through the middle of the grain, so I re-did the work so no lines would show." He had noticed the beautiful view and didn't want us to see it through the lined screen door. This behavior is what going over and above one's duty. Nice work! Fast and skilled. Will call again.

+ -1 moreKarl Oppenheimer tried to find ways of fixing the door instead of just saying 'you need a new door'. The fix was completed (the original door installers just used the clips to hold the door, of course, with time the metal clips broke off. They had not bothered to screw the door frame as well at the time.) So Karl found this detail, installed screws and the door works perfectly. Will use for future business without hesitation. He also rescreened the entire area - looks great

+ 0 moreKarl showed up on time completed project quickly. We purchased a short sale home the pool enclosure was in terrible shape. Karl did a complete rescreen replaced missing hand rail, gutters, repaired door secured base all the way around. Cleaned the pool deck all in two days. Since I'm new to the area and do not know any contractors ,Karl gave me contacts for quotes on additional repairs that need done. I have hired three of then they gave fair prices and show up on time. Great job by Team USA

He rebolted the birdcage down and replaced the "workings" on two screen doors as well as all of the screening. I would recommend Carl Oppenheimer to everyone. He is coming back to do another small job for us as well. 100% satisfied!!!

Description of Work: Very unresponsive Have been trying to get them to come out for about 6 weeks. Several no shows and apparently they did come after 3 or 4 phone calls but did not call with an estimate or questions. I had to call them. Made excuses about weather but in 6 weeks time could have been taken care of. Would not recommend.

When I called him back to setup the appointment, he told me he?d stop by to see the job first hand and to give me the written quote. He arrived on time, gave me the written cost, and then scheduled the work. On the scheduled day, when I came home from work the job was done and it looks Great! Description of Work: Karl came and gave me an estimate for the screen repair on some panels. He calculated the square footage estimate cost of the panels. Then, he made an offer to re-screen the whole pool enclose for a lower price than replacing the problem panels (ie...all the old and damaged panels). He could have made more profit by just doing panels per square foot. On top of that he is including all the hardware needed to re-anchor the cage (great thing to do before hurricane season), and replace the hardware on the 2 screen doors. It's hard to pay the $1400 in these economic times but Karl's offer was something that we could not refuse. He is coming next week to do the job.... To Be Continued. So far, he has gained my trust and I would recommend him even before the job is started!!! In our conversation, Karl was very professional and he demonstrated a high level of knowledge and expertise. I look forward to writing the check because, as a homeowner, I want to enhance the safety, appearance, and value of our home.

+ -1 moreKarl returned our initial phone call promptly. We explained the work needed and was given an initial estimate based on our description. He came out the very next day and adjusted the estimate slightly due to actual measurement of the area for materials. He performed the work immediately and the job was completed in a short period of time that day. Karl was extremely professional and courteous. He made sure that the surrounding area was left just the way it was before he worked on it with no evidence of work being done. The price was a little bit higher than other estimates, but he did exceptional work so we are very pleased with our choice of this company. You certainly get what you pay for with them. We would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them for others.
