I believe the product is great, untested but reviews have been good on the product. Regarding the service I was not very happy. It took nearly 6 visits not including the installation to have a satisfactory end. We later learned from an employee discussing with another homeowner that installed the product ours was installed wrong, hence the needed return visits. I have to say every time I called Roll A Guard responded within a reasonable time to correct. I am still not happy with the final product. When panel rolls up there is an unevenness, and, fabric has slack and I asked if they could correct to be more taut. It was stated this is natural. I did not believe their response.

Completed on time and budget. County inspector was very impressed with compliance. We would hire again.

We hired these folks to put an electric hurricane shutter on the front door. Customer service was exceptional, workmanship was great and everything was performed up to code. I'd give them a 5 star except, they did have to come out once after inspection to modify something silly - which took additional time out of my day to ensure I was home. Otherwise, the job was near perfect. Would hire them again for sure.

We chose Roll-A-Guard to install full-home hurricane shutters after meeting with co-owner Sandra and engaging in multiple communications requiring new measurements, decision to add additional units and a secondary bid visit. Their quick response time and attention to detail instilled confidence that this family-owned business was the right contractor for a investment of this nature. And they are nice folks. The installation crew - including relatives in this family business - was professional, worked hard, were careful and knew what they were doing. We find the shutters and tracks - about four months in now - to be of excellent quality. There has been two minor post-installation issues and both were addressed rapidly and completely with on-site correction in about 24 hours. They’ve proven that they care about their customers and won’t disappear or put you to the back of the queue after install. Customer service via phone is excellent; pleasant, thorough and fast to respond. I even received a call from one of the lead installers who was ready to come over until we agreed I had solved the issue on my own. Rolling storm shutters are no cheap investment. Given our potential exposure to severe elements, we choose a permanent and somewhat pricey solution. Nonetheless, we are very happy with Roll-A-Guard. They’ve done everything as promised and all follow-up issues and calls were rapidly addressed. I wish every contractor understood that their business’s future is as dependent on the satisfied customer whose job is done as the next prospect yet to sign. In sum; excellent quality and company.

We only had a couple day window in which we were going to be home to install the hurricane shutters. Roll-A-Guard was excellent in working to our schedule. The workers arrived on time and performed the work in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP WITH A MESS. The office manager Cassidy is a gem. She is wonderful. However, the technicians do shoddy work. They left one window in our waterfront home a disaster. After discussing this with the owner, Andy, and giving him the opportunity to correct the problem, his worker came to our house and painted over the caulk instead of removing the two plus inches of caulk the other worker put up. The first worker caulked the wires to the outside of the house two inches from the shutter frame before we noticed it. As that wasn't up to code and looked ridiculous, we asked him to fix it. He tried the best he could but did not have the knowledge or ability to perform the job he was attempting to do. We have had to hire other people to remove the caulk. Thank God we were repainting our house because otherwise we would never had been able to match the color that was going to have to be painted over the excess caulk that they could not remove. You can find my pictures on other reviews of this as this site does not allow me to post pictures.

They were great. The workers were fine. They did what they figured what the problem was.

Roll A Guard installed 2 large motorized shutters a bout 8 years ago and we were very satisfied with the quality of the product and installation, and the price. They were easy to work with. This week one of the shutters on the balcony would not close and when I called them to repair the shutter I was told that they could not schedule an appointment for at least 6 to 8 weeks. This does not work for us because we will be going back to NY mid September. The young lady told me that if they have a cancellation that she would call me but did not sound very hopeful because they are very busy. I can't believe that they don't have anyone to work on repairs especially for their customers. I called another company on Angie's list and they did some shuffling in their schedule and sent a repairman over the next day. The repair took about 20 minutes. Roll A Guard lost a customer because it's unfortunate that we can't count on them for repairs.

The workers were polite and professional. We haven't had to put up the covers, so I can't comment on that. One thing I did not love is that for two doors that are right next to each other, they did not put in the bolts lined up symmetrically, so it looks a bit funny. Otherwise, good.

I shopped 3 contractors for hurricane shutters. Roll-A-Guard had by far the best service, price and quality. All work was performed professionally and on time as promised. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Job took forever with workmen not showing up. There are still problems with rubber on bottom slats falling off and some shutters slats not closing all the way and leaving spaces.
