Details above - very thorough job and communicated as to what was being done and at end cleaned up. The owner works with the crew. Respected property and cleaned things up before leaving. We've received compliments from friends/neighbors and one who was considering pavers is now reconsidering. This is a "Cool Deck" so you don't burn your feet on it and it's not slippery either. Would recommend and use them again, if needed!

Terrance started the job a couple of weeks later than anticipated due to illness, but that was okay with us. Once he arrived, he determined that it would not be necessary to take out the old smaller slab and he was able to pour the new slab with that smaller one still in place. He sent us photos since we were not there, and we all agreed he should install a drain near the sliding glass doors to guard against water getting into the house. He cleaned everything up when he was done and we couldn't be more pleased with the work. It was our first step to getting a usable outdoor space. Highly recommend.

Everything went perfect. Terrance and his crew did an awesome job from start to finish. They combined two existing slabs that are at different levels, the transition is perfect. Also it was a tight work area between the house and fence, but they worked around the obstacles with no problems. And they cleaned up my yard after the job. As a matter of background, I contacted 3 contractors to remove and replace various cracked segments of my concrete driveway. Of the 3 contractors, Terrance Whitaker, d/b/a Low Cost Concrete, was in the middle with cost. The lowest bid came from a contractor who, from others I've spoken to, does not do the highest quality work. The highest bid came from a contractor found on Angie's List. The owner of this other company came out and provided a bid. The owner actually does the sales work and his crew the actual work. I found him competent and thought he would do a fine job, but his price was seemingly out-of-line, just too high. I believe part of the reason for his high price is that the owner acquires sales and does no actual work. On the other hand, Terrance Whitaker actually does the work himself with his crew. Mr. Whitaker came out on the day and time as promised and I found him very professional and knowledgeable of concrete work. I also found that Mr. Whitaker received a technical education in concrete work. I found Mr. Whitaker's price to be fair and decided to go with him. He showed on the day promised and the work took 4 days to complete. During the work, Mr. Whitaker found that it would be worthwhile to remove a couple of other areas of concrete to avoid a choppy look since not the entire driveway was being redone. He done so for the cost of concrete only, and knowing the price of concrete, that's exactly what he charged. Keep in mind that we have an extensive driveway where the house sits approximately 150' from the road, so this was no small job. Everything went well and I'm very satisfied with Mr. Whitaker 's work. Mr. Whitaker takes pride in his work, he's very well organized, and I found him easy to work with and wanting to please. I definitely would hire Mr. Whitaker again and would highly recommend Low Cost Concrete. Thank you Mr. Whitaker for a job well done! I wish other contractors were as responsible as he.

I called three concrete companies and Terrance (the owner) was the only one who returned my call. Terrance is one of the most professional businessman I've worked with in a long time. He came by the day after he called to give me an estimate. He explained what he was going to do and gave me a price that I thought was fair. I hired him on the spot. He called me a couple of days later to schedule the work. He called 3 days before the work to confirm the date. He arrived on time and he and his workers did the job on time in two days. The workers were kind enough to stop what they were doing when my dog had to go outside. All of the workers were kind and professional. In fact, they seem to be quite a team and have a good time together. The job exceeded my expectations and I love my terra cotta floor. I would hire him again in a minute.

From the beginning Terrance did a great job of explaining what he was going to do as well as providing recommendations to me. Throughout the process he was in close contact about the various stages of the job and his expected completion. I also had other work being done on my pool when Terrance started the job and he actually coordinated very well with the other contractor so that both jobs would get done without me having to be involved. Overall I am happy I went with Low Cost Concrete for this work. If any of my friends ever ask I will definitely recommend Low Cost Concrete.

I was extremely impressed by work performed. The owner was present during all work and truly cared that everything was done correctly. They were not concerned about how much time it took to get the job done right. Day one framing - Day two pour and finish. Rain was questionable and after driving off, I assume they saw some clouds that made it appear like more of a possibility. The owner came back and placed plastic over the work as a precaution. It did not rain and it just shows that the owner really wanted me to be happy with the new addition. BTW - I can micromanage activities such as this one but I was comfortable enough to "stay out of their hair" and let them do their jobs. Overall a great experience and it is refreshing to see such guys exist. I didn't mind writing the check nor did I get buyer's remorse. Great job Terrance and team! :)

Terrance and his crew did an excellent job and I'm extremely happy with the work and how easy the process was. Terrance was very professional and easy to work with, I would highly recommend Low Cost Concrete Inc. Everything from the estimate to the payment of work went smoothly and these guy did it all in a couple of days !

We chose them because of Angie's List reviews and the price. Overall, the job went very well. Their price was less than others we had gotten bids from. Despite the fact that they were cheaper, their workmanship was very good. They went above and beyond. When they poured the concrete, it was a colder or wetter day. There was some kind of climatic temperature during that time, and the concrete didn’t harden enough quickly as it probably should normally. The owner of the company stayed here till about 8 o' clock at night. At that time in January or February, it was pitch black. But he stayed here to make sure that it cured correctly. He stayed on the job until it was done. It wasn’t like at 4 o' clock or 5 o' clock, he said he was done and walked away. He stayed with it. We love our deck; it's beautiful. We would definitely use them again in the future.

It's simply amazing. While it was a really messy process to get all the old surface up, it is completely worth the minor inconvenience. I have a BEAUTIFUL porch/patio/pool area now that doesn't get hot under my feet and is not slippery when it's wet. Terrance is one of THE most professional and ethical contractors with whom I have had the pleasure to work. He will always be my go-to guy for any projects requiring concrete. Highly recommend this young man, for sure!

It was fine. I tried to call and call because i realized his price was good and wanted to add more work. He just didn't show up.

Terrance was great to work with and did a very good job. His prices are very reasonable and I am pleased with the result.

The owner came out initially, gave us the estimate, and timeline, and all went well. The date got pushed back several times due to extraordinary rain, which we understood. When he finally came back out he was with an assistant, they measured out the area and started building the frame. He told us the assistant would be taking over as he would be out of town for the pouring of concrete. They brought in a subcontractor to level out the area, and told us he would be there at 7:30 Saturday morning rain or shine with the Concrete. After they left my husband and I noticed the patio no longer looked square, we measured it and it wasn't. Apparently the lines had been moved. I emailed the owner out of town and he assured me everything was fine, I told him it wasn't. Saturday morning came and went and no one showed up... or called... I finally got ahold of the owner and he got ahold of his assistant who told me it was cancelled due to rain? The same person who told me rain or shine he would be here. Funny thing was the sky was clear all day. When the owner got back he rescheduled all quickly and apologetically, gave me a discount on the work, and corrected the lines to bring the patio area square again. The patio was poured and is a great patio. The concrete man spilled a lot of concrete on the edge of our front yard, which is there still, 6 months later, he cleaned up the bulk of it, but I'm not happy about it. The price was good and the owner knows what he is doing and is professional, however, the people that he deals with leave something to be desired.

I had Terrance finish demolishing an old in-ground hot tub and pour a concrete pad over the top of it. He is returning after the first of the year to remove my old river rock from around my pool and will be using an acrylic/concrete finishing product. He is an awesome worker and hasn't disappointed me in the least. I will report again once the entire project is complete.

That Terrance was able to get this done at all, given its rained almost every day since May this year was qiute an achievement! As the rain kept the work at bay on and off for awile I was getting worried. However, the work when completed was top shelf and the end result is one of the better decks i personally have seen. I could not be more pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the professional manner in which Jerome Whitaker and his crew conducted themselves. My old driveway was underlain by roots from a large laurel oak tree which had caused the driveway to crack. Three weeks before contacting Jerome I had the oak tree removed. The roots were removed during the removal of the old concrete. Also, James and his crew from Colorways Paver Design did an excellent job of preparing for laying down the pavers by dumping several tons of crushed concrete as a base for the pavers.

Terrance and his guys did a good job overall. We tore out the old pavers ourselves to save money. They listened to what we wanted and made it happen. The only small glitch was I asked them to bury a PVC pipe under the new pour (to run electrical wiring under the sidewalk for low voltage lighting) and after the fact I realized that one end of the PVC was buried in the cement. Now I will have to re-run something under there if I want lighting on both sides of the walk. An inconvenience for sure. This could partly be my fault as well for not providing a longer pipe. This was money well spent.

Double car driveway, porch and walkway now look beautiful. Long overdue cracked, mildewed and discolored (ugly!) drive and entrance. Terrance and associates went out of their way to accommodate our desired look/design with patience, experience and professionalism. It is a work of art. It is a pleasure to drive up to our house and would definitely recommend Low Cost Concrete, LLC to anyone and employ them again when needed in the future. Thanks again Terrance

I had appraisals from about 5 companies and I went with Low Cost Concrete Inc. The owner's name was Terrance. It was good. Everything about them was good. The price was great. That's why I picked them. They definitely kept to their name of low cost.
