Terrance was very responsive and came out for a quote/estimate. Mine was a small job, a walkway and then a small area already surrounded by patio. Terrance is very nice and professional, this is someone you want to do business with. We got the schedule lined up and Terrance and crew arrived and completed. The job went smooth, entire crew was very nice and professional and concrete looks great. I would recommend Low Cost Concrete for any type of concrete job, and I will definitely use again for any concrete I need done.

Overall, really good price for the job. The owner is just a really awesome guy so he makes it a good experience. He is good. He does the work and the customer service so he is great.

Terrance and his crew poured a slab inside a walled off part of my garage so that we could make a rec room. It was tricky in that he had to match the height of my existing floor, but he came out the day before and laser-leveled everything so it would match. He did a great job and it turned out perfectly. I am going to hire Low Cost Concrete again for a new patio.

Poorly. After several phone calls, confirmed appt, still showed up on wrong day, when no one was available. Promised bid never materialized, zero follow up. No response. Far too average in our experience for Bay Area contractors. Disappointing, especially after reading reviews. Signed with much more professional, prompt, punctual, responsive contractor.

Absolutely flawless work. Our request for an estimate was responded to the same day and an appointment for a prompt visit to ***** the work was also made. The men came and made a 100% honest estimate (which they honored) at the day and time agreed upon. The men arrived on time, completed all work in several days and returned a couple weeks later to inspect the work. There seems to be some minor areas of remaining discoloration and we were told that the issue had occurred in a few other work sites which is felt to probably be due to the cement mixture from a particular dealer. They remain in contact with us and are following up. If the areas do not completely fade they will be fixed. Overall, though the patio looks great. This is has been an anxiety free job from start to finish. Timely, responsive, with complete clean up and no damage whatsoever to the yard or area. The estimate was thousands less than another contractor had wanted and we are already considering contracting Low Cost concrete for future work. One has to be very careful when contracting this type of work and we discovered that estimates were all over the board. However, Low Cost Concrete has such universally positive reviews that after our initial experience and estimate, we did not hesitate to use them. If any problems arise, I will update this review, but for now I am 100% satisfied.

This is probably the best experience I've had hiring someone to work around my house. Terrance the owner of Low Cost Concrete called back when he said he would, rare these days, showed up on time to look at the job and did a great job at a fair price. His crew was easy to work with, even after I asked for a change while they were making the form. A great experience from start to finish.

Terrance (owner) returns calls promptly. Showed up on time. Workers very cordial. Partial replace of driveway. Fixed one sprinkler that was broken during driveway installation. The only unfortunate thing was the cement truck cracked part of the drive that was not on the installation. All in all, happy with the results.

Very well. Terrance answered the initial inquiry the same day and came to the site to look at the scope of the job. A proposal was received via email in 3 days. We advised him that the job was his in 4 days and he started in 2 weeks as promised. Job took 3 days. I was especially impressed with the effort put forth removing the roots that caused the sidewalk damage. Walks should not be damaged for quite a while. A real pleasure to deal with! Will hire again next year when we have more money.

Terrance applied a chemical onto the river gravel and covered it with plastic to sit overnight. He and his team returned the next day to remove the river gravel & then pressure clean the deck. The following day he filled in the long cracks with epoxy, applied the acrylic coating, and texture. Terrance is meticulous about making sure he coats & covers all areas well while protecting walls and pool screening. He then applied 2 coats of deck paint on the last day. Wow, what a difference! Check out the before and after photos! I highly recommend Low Cost Concrete. They were a pleasure to work with and very fairly priced!

Excellent job! Concrete work completely finished within 2 days. The second day was used for final touches. The owner was on the job site with crew and professionally completed the job! Started the work on the projected date and completed the work within the timeframe. We will definitely call him again and would recommend this company to anyone looking for concrete installation!

Terrence is so easy to work with. First, he is VERY likable, approachable and patiently listened to my description of the job before offering solutions, which made me feel confident that he knows what he is doing. He was on time on the day he came to provide his estimate, which was not the cheapest I received, but it also wasn't the most expensive one. I chose him because I felt he knew what needed to be done, understood exactly what I wanted, and I liked his personality. His team arrived on time the day the job was schedules. They worked non stop. They cheerfully answered all my questions about what was being done, and they cleaned the area when they finished. We waited for 48 hrs for the concrete to set before applying the texture. I am VERY satisfied with their service. I will hire them again to enlarge the lanai area in the future!

I had a good experience with this provider. Terrance was very friendly and easy to work with. Pricing was competitive The work was completed exactly as expected and looks good. Terrance also did a few extras which were greatly appreciated -- such as shoring up a section that was under stress due to erosion.

Terrance busted up the bad sections and poured new sections. the rains came after they poured them and they covered them up but they did not turn out well at all. I was willing to pay for the job even though it really didn't look good but Terrance said "no way I can't let that look that way, I'm coming back to re-do it". Sure enough he did come back and it's beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased and Terrance obviously takes pride in his work. What a stand up guy and company! I would recommend him and Low Cost Concrete anytime. Thanks Terrance!

We really respect Terrance and his work. In fact, another concrete company recommended Terrance to us when their bid was too high for us. The other concrete company said Terrance does really great work. We agree. Terrance was able to do a job that other contractors were shaking their heads up. Terrance was able to remove a pebble tec patio that was in really bad shape. They then added in new "cool crete" patio that looks great. We are now working with Terrance in re-doing our driveway. Will post on that when it's complete.

I called to schedule a free estimate for today at 10 a.m. I noticed I missed a phone call (9:14 am) and listened to my voicemail which pretty much said, "Just wanted to make sure you were home. No point in me driving out there if you aren't." Unfortunately, I didn't notice I had a missed call and called back an hour later. I apologized and told him that I was sorry that I missed his call and that I would I'd be home all day. He told me that it was fine and the he would call me before he left. I thought ok, not a problem. Well He never called or showed up. Here's my question.... If travel is a problem for you then why do you list counties like Pasco? I understand no one likes their time wasted and I understand the travel aspect as well. But if you have ME waiting all day by the phone expecting a phone call that you promised to make, you now wasted MY TIME. Thank you for showing me how unprofessional some business owners can be.

My husband and I had saved what we could for a much-needed patio slab in the back yard. However, we weren't sure that our slim budget would cover all the work we hoped to get done. The cost was just one of many concerns we had about calling in a concrete contractor. Neither of us had any experience with or knowledge of concrete. We wondered how we could determine what an acceptable job was and what a fair price was. We turned to Angie's List and found, as we often do, that few contractors will return calls for small jobs. I understand that every business owner must pick and choose the most profitable places to invest their time. Still, it's frustrating to put calls out to 8 contractors who all claim "No job is too small," and be ignored by all but two. Of the two concrete contractors that returned our call, we chose Terrance Whitaker of Low Cost Concrete. He answered all our questions and showed us that our budget could cover the maximum amount of work we'd hoped to get done. Most assuring of all-- he had excellent references on Angie's List for jobs both large and small. And after working with him, we understand how well-deserved those great reviews are! From the moment work began, Terrance was on the job, either supervising or working. He sets high standards for his business. He has a great deal of experience and an eye for those details that will result in the best possible job. And he seems to be a great boss. Terrance is respectful of his workmen, and they, in turn, show great respect for him and strive to do a good job to please him. I didn't know, when I decided where I wanted the patio laid out, that I was creating a difficult situation in that I wanted the patio poured around an existing driveway and shed and to end right where a line of trees started, in an area where the ground was not at all level. In fact, I didn't understand the difficulties until after the job was complete. I was chatting with one of the workmen about the finished job when he described how difficult it had been to dig out and pour that particular corner. "But that's Terrance," the workman said. "He does whatever it takes to give people what they want." We found that to be true. From the moment we signed the contract, we had no worries. Terrance took care of everything and the job was done to our complete satisfaction. Two weeks after it was complete, I called out the electrician we use and asked him to place outlets near the new patio. When he looked at the slab, he said, "Whoever did this for you really did a good job grading it so water runs off into the alley. If a slab isn't graded right, runoff can do a lot of damage, especially to your house foundation." We've had plenty of time to see just how good the grading actually is, as one of the rainiest summers in years has sent tons of water flowing off the patio.Where the runoff would go isn't something we even knew to be concerned about and Terrance never discussed it with us. He simply did what you want a contractor to do--bring his expertise to the job and make sure everything gets done right. We are so glad we chose Terrance Whitaker and Low Cost Concrete to do this work. We have had many people in the neighborhood ask about the patio and have been recommending Low Cost Concrete to all. Low Cost Concrete is the way to get a great job done at a very affordable price, with no worries!

I could not have been more pleased with the job performed. Terrance takes a lot of pride in his work and went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied, including finishing up the job by himself on a Sunday. The rain posed a significant challenge. It was relentless for several weeks straight! Terrance was in constant communication with us. We never felt like our job was going to be "skipped". We are very happy with our new driveway and shed.

We've received compliments from friends/neighbors and one who was considering pavers is now reconsidering. This is a "Cool Deck" so you don't burn your feet on it and it's not slippery either. Would recommend and use them again, if needed!
