Bill was great to work with! He was very knowledgable and made great recommendation and gave a very competitive price. His installation crew was First Rate. They did an awesome job very neat and beautiful craftsmanship. Could not be more pleased. I highly recommend this company

Project could not have gone better. Bill Hess (owner) is not a high pressure salesperson. He educates and is very patient. After the sale he visits the site and keeps the consumer informed. Start date was on time and the completion date was on time. The installers (Brian & Ed) are knowledgeable craftsman that work great together as a team.

This the second time I've used Bill Hess and Floor Coverings International and each time, he shows up right when he says he is going to and the installers are the same way. Very professional and very good at what they do. I can't imagine I will ever use anyone else for flooring as long as I live in the Tampa Bay Area.

I sent a request on March 29 via Angie's List for an estimate for tile and carpet in my home and included my contact information. I never heard from them. Update: I received a call from Bill who apologized and stated he had never received my inquiry via Angie's List. He offered to come out and do the estimate however, I had already chosen another company to work with. He still offered to help out in any way he could and to call him with any questions I might have.

We dealt with Bill Hess, the president. He was on top of everything, visited the site several times n the installers really knew what they were doing. They were wonderful and top-notch. We got the service we wanted for the price.

They did a wonderful job, scheduled their work to go along with my desire to scrub and paint the subfloor before putting the new pad down, and were nothing but sweet to my small humans

Bill Hess was great. He was very professional and gave us all the time that we required to make our decision. He visited in the house a number of times. His installers were polite, neat, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. Brian was especially good.

After spending a lot of time and energy helping us to choose our flooring, it was installed beautifully. When we had concerns, they were completely understood and addressed with no additional costs to us, even though the changes cost the installer more materials and more time. We are now very happy and get compliments all the time!

Bill Hess was fantastic every step of the way from first contact by email until final inspection. I'd already found tile that I wanted so didn't purchase it from him. Unfortunately, a day after the order was supposed to have arrived at Lowe's, my tile couldn't even be located and there was no promise of delivery of it anytime soon. So I urgently visited four more stores and found a tile I liked that was available for delivery within a few days (holiday weekend). This snafu by Lowe's created a huge inconvenience not only for me but for Bill and his employees, but he was very professional and helpful as I worked to find another tile. He then got my tile installed as soon as it was available and the results are beautiful.

That turned out wonderfully. He's very professional and very knowledgeable.

Bill Hess was courteous and his team was very efficient. The repair is excellent and blends in perfectly with the flooring. I was under a tight deadline due to the upcoming wedding of my daughter and he made it happen! Thank you, Bill!

First things first...Pricing was given a B because FCI will not be the cheapest estimate you will get (and I got quite a few estimates from area companies)...so why did I choose them? FCI is a very professional and honest company. There are no hidden fees....what FCI estimates is what you pay. From initial contact to final completion of the job, there was no doubt I picked the right company.

The experience went well from start to finish. Bill was very helpful in choosing the flooring and the installation went smoothly. We are so pleased with the results.

Our tile floor was buckling and we needed to replace it. We met Bill at a Home Show with only the idea that we wanted to consider hardwood instead of tile. Bill educated us on the various types of hardwood and laminate. He was always willing to answer any questions we had along the way.

Bill's crew came and removed all of the carpeting in a given room and then put in the type of hard floor that was to go in that room. We did one room at a time so it was the least amount of intrusion possible into our lives. Most of the rooms were done in one day, save for a couple of the bigger rooms that took more than that. It took about 9 work days to get the whole job done, but his crew was very accommodating to make this as easy as possible on us, as I homeschool my son during the day and we are here a lot. They are also pleasant to have in the house; they seem to understand that it's an intrusion to have this type of job done and they really do make it easy on you. I am extremely happy with how all of it turned out. I have lived with it a couple of weeks now and have decided to get only minimal area rugs because these floors are really beautiful and should not be covered up! The quality of the floors is very high and I thought I got very good value for my money. Maybe I could have spent a little less at a big box store but I have experience with doing interior remodeling with those stores and it's nowhere near the quality I got from Bill and his FCI crew. Bill visited our house frequently to see how the project was coming and he really wanted to make sure I was happy with how it was going. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference it makes to have a local owner of the store visiting your house to make sure it's going OK.

One of the reasons I chose this company was because of the owner, Bill Hess. I had several other companies come to the house and give me estimates. Floor Covering Intl was right in the middle. But of all the representatives, Bill seemed like he knew what he was talking about and was willing to answer my tons of questions. At the showroom he took me thru each of the types of floor from laminate to solid wood and told me the pros and cons. He allowed me to take a couple of samples home. I was in a tight move and needed the floors done quickly and completed on time. They started on time and they finished on time. They worked late to meet my schedule and were extremely courteous. Hal was our project leader at the house and he would answer any of my questions when I stopped by to see how things were going. I really can't say enough good things about this company. I literally cannot think of any con's. If you need new flooring, check out this company. They were great!

They were very professional. Everything was done to perfection. They were easy to work with. Everything was great.

They were on time. They communicated well about when they were going to be here and what was going to happen. They were very polite. We just didn’t go with them because we didn’t want to spend that much of money. We would probably not use their services again in the future.

The time was arranged after the product arrived and the installer arrived on time and applied the tile. He cleaned up after himself when he was finished and then he was back the next day to grout the tile. The tile went up as expected and it turned out just like I wanted it! The tile itself was difficult to rub down as it had lots of texture in the stone pieces. The installer was very patient and wiped it down until it was right.

from the initial contact throughout the entire process Bill was extremely professional. i chose bamboo flooring for my home. i bought this home from illinois with plans to move to florida. i wanted the floors done before i arrived. Bill made this possible. he did several sight visits and made recommendations all along the way. that being said i did spend more than i had anticipated. the product itself was not the issue. during one of the visits to the house by fci they noticed that the baseboards were installed directly onto the concrete and they were not able to make a smooth transition with the additional 5/8" bamboo. i understood the situation. i didn't like having to spend more money but i knew that if i wanted it to look right i would need to do that. Bill worked with his vendors to get the best possible solution for the problem and i chose to do the baseboards. i felt the issue was more an issue with the builder of the home than it was with fci. being able to get flooring installed from 1100 miles away was nothing short of amazing. i am very satisfied:)

Bill helped us select the colors and types of flooring. He brought samples of tile, carpet and wood that he thought would fit our likes and lifestyle. There was no pressure to make selections. He worked with us until we found materials that we liked. This process took place over a couple of weeks. The installation was very successful. The tile work was completed first. Brian, Bob and Jim were extremely careful in their measurements and cutting. They consulted with me on design issues and made sure that I liked the layout of decorative tiles on the walls and designs on the floor. There was a challenge in the master bathroom where a planter had been. The opening under the planter was required to allow access to the spa tub. We worked together to come up with a solution that is very attractive that will still allow us to have access to the plumbing under the tub. The master bathroom was the first to be completed, and it is beautiful. The next room to be done was the pool bath floor. Again, they were extremely careful in their measurements and placement of tiles. I accidentally stepped on one before it was set, and they cheerfully addressed the problem. Next was the guest bath. I changed my mind about the scope of work and decided to have the wall tiles replaced. This required that more tile be ordered. There was an error in the second batch of tiles; the tiles were very close to the ones that we had ordered previously, which Brian and Bob pointed out to me before anything was set. This turned out to be a very good error, because I liked the new ones best. So we had a slight delay while the old tiles were returned and the new ones delivered. They did everything possible to make sure that I liked the result, even though they had a wasted half day of work. Both the guest bath and the pool bath are great. Next they began the hardwood. Bill had told us that the wood that we selected, which is a light oak, was "rustic". When it began to go on the floor, I felt comfortable with it, but when my husband came home, he was unhappy with the more rustic elements of the wood. I called Bill, and again, he and his team made sure that we liked the result. Brian took up some boards that had been placed on the floor. He and Bob consulted with me on each board until we had a good understanding of what we were going to like. We did not pay extra for the replacement boards, other than a small extra fee to pick up the boards that were already down, which was not a small task. Again, it looks great. Next, the carpet installation began. Dan and his helpers completed the master bedroom first. They did a beautiful job. Our bedroom furniture is extremely heavy, which added a lot to the challenge. The carpet is also heavy, and that added to the challenge. We are delighted with the result. The next work day, they completed carpet replacement in the dining room, living room, guest room and game room. I had emptied the china cabinet and server. I had forgotten the exact sequence of work, so one of the rooms was not ready when they arrived. They helped me move some items and re-sequenced their work so that I could get the rest of the preparation done. Our dining room floor has a curved element, which added to the challenge of that job. It was measured and stretched perfectly. All of the rooms were done well. This was a large project. Our house is just under 3,000 square feet, and almost all of it was affected by this project. During the time that Bill's teams were working in our house, nothing was broken. While the carpet was being replaced, I had the crystal set on the kitchen island and counters. Looking back at that, it is amazing that nothing was broken while the old carpet was going out and the new coming in. They were very careful. In addition to that, we have three cats who are like furry children to me. Each day, I was moving them around so that they would be out of the way and safe. Bill's teams were careful to make sure that they did not open doors where the cats were being kept. Extra's: Our kitchen, laundry room and foyer tile had not been sealed and as a result, the grout was very dirty in some places. Bill recommended a company that came in and cleaned the grout. It looks way better. There were a couple of places in our kitchen, foyer and laundry room that were not part of the scope of the project that needed grout. Brian had extra grout that matched and he re-grouted those tiles before they were sealed. Bill sealed all of the grout in the three bathrooms, even though that was not spelled out in the contract. Brian saw that a tile outside the pool bath was not exactly level with the others. He took up the tile and re-set it. I had not noticed it. Everyone cleaned up after their work every day. There were several other groups working in the house at the same time, including our painter, the plumber, a construction company, people doing measurements and installation of shower enclosures, the tile cleaners, and in addition, our roof was being replaced. (The roof replacement was unplanned; all of the other groups were doing related work.) Every day was a real three ring circus. Bill's team worked well with everyone who came in to complete work. On balance, I can't say enough good about the job that this company did. I would recommend them to anyone who needs flooring work done.

Bill, the owner of the flooring company, did an outstanding job of explaining the products and making recommendations. Our floors are beautiful! We will do the other part of our house in carpet on a later date. Or maybe cork, I haven't decided.

They were professionals all the way; from estimating all the way to installation. I am very pleased with the overall performance.
