Description of Work: Apsco service replaced the motor/pump in a 16 month old, $ 750 Whirlpool dishwasher. Even though they sold the dishwasher to us new, I wouldn't hold them responsible for the poor quality of the unit - that would be the manufacturer. The part was under extended warranty so the $ 214 cost was for labor and I feel that it was somewhat excessive and at times, Apsco made us feel as if they were doing us a favor. The technician was very punctual and cordial and the dishwasher does perform as it should

+ -1 moreChuck called in morning, as prearranged, to schedule an appointment for later that day. He arrived on time and fixed the stove. He was very professional, pleasant and competent. (We did not shop around for quotes, so we dont know how their prices compare to those of other service providers.) We will call Apsco next time we need appliance repair. (One complaint: The companys web page includes the East Bay Drive showroom but not the East Bay Drive service center. We drove all the way to Largo on a Friday night because the web page said the East Bay Drive store would be open. We didnt realize that there were two East Bay Drive stores... and that the service center we needed would NOT be open at that hour.)
Description of Work: Replaced two burner receptacles on a 25-year-old stove.

THE FIRST DRYER DELIVERED WAS DAMAGED, AS WAS THE FIRST REFRIDGERATOR. DELIVERY PEOPLE WERE SURLY AND I COULD NOT ARRANGE TO HAVE DAMAGED MERCHANDISE REPLACED ON THE SAME DAY. BECAUSE I WORK, I HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK (UNTIL NEXT SATURDAY) FOR DELIVERY. STEVE, HOWEVER, SAID AND DID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS. HE ARRANGED FOR REPLACEMENTS, SYMPATHIZED, AND APOLOGIZED FOR THE DELIVERY PEOPLES BEHAVIOR. DISHWASHER AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL INSTALLER WAS VERY PLEASANT.

Description of Work: RICK CARNAHAN WAS A WONDERFUL SALES PERSON AS COMPARED WITH THE MANY PUSHY SALES PEOPLE AT THE CLEARWATER, APSCO STORE. WE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH OUR KITCHEN AID OVEN BUT THEY DID NOT HESITATE TO EXCHANGE IT AND COME OUT TO REPAIR IT UNTIL WE WERE SATISFIED. THEY DELIVERED 4 APPLIANCES AND REPAIRED THE OVEN WITH A NEW DOOR.

Description of Work: THE CONTROL PANEL FOR OUR DISHWASHER WOULD NOT WORK. IT SEEMED THAT THE DOOR WAS NOT LATCHING PROPERLY EITHER. IT TURNED OUT THAT THERE WAS A KERNEL OF CORN (POPCORN) STUCK IN THE LATCH. I COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN IT OUT MYSELF. REMOVING THAT FIXED IT.

+ -1 moreI called Apsco back to ask why they didnt ask me for the information when I set up the appointment. They said that I didnt tell them and well, they didnt ask! They said that the part would have to be ordered and would not be in before the next week. I asked "BJ" who admitted that if they were to ask about the part, it would have been ordered and fixed by the end of the week. BJ did advise me that there was other companies, so I took her advise and checked the list. I am very dissatisfied by the way this was handled. They should have over-nighted the part at their cost after causing me to have wasted my time. I will never use them again!
Description of Work: I contacted Apsco on Monday the 26th of May. I told them exactly what part I needed for my Maytag washing machine. The service department set up a time to do the call, which was that Wednesday. I had my brother come over to wait for the person to arrive. I was told that they would call around nine to give a time that they would come to do the repair. They finally called my brother at 12:20p and asked for the model and serial number of the washer. My brother asked if the repair would be done that day. The technician said no, that they would have to order the part.
