+ -1 moreOur refrigerator and stove were purchased from Apsco Appliance 9 years ago. We recently had water spraying the back of the fridge and the sink counter each time the ice maker cam on. We called Apsco Service and a tech came out the next morning. He was prompt, courteous, had all his tools and went right to work. He was done in ten minutes, checked the operation of the icemaker to be sure there were no more leaks and put the rridge back in its original position. It turned out that the hose in the back of the fridge had to be adjusted and tightened. Easy, peasie, but for a senior citizen who has no knowledge of these things, it was a job for a professional. We were very satisied with the service and will definitely call Apsco Service again.

+ -1 moreArrived late Diagnosed a problem with the motor before checking the machine out Repairman indicated that a new motor was what was needed I indicated that I absolutely was not in a position to buy a new dryer and there was no way that was going to happen Repairman did replace the belt and tensioner Dryer works perfectly and quietly Well worth the money of the repair
Description of Work: The service rep ran much later than the 2 hour window without a call. The belt on my dryer was screeching and the drum was occasionally having difficulty starting. The repairman stated I needed a new motor before he even looked at the belt or assembly. When I explained that I wasn't in a position to purchase a new dryer and the screeching seemed like the belt, he did replace the belt and tension assembly and the dryer works perfectly and very quietly. I asked the repairman if he could check my vent for any problems and he stated that the area under my dryer was clean, if there were problems with my vent, it would have been dirty. So, I don't know. I went back and re-read the ratings and was surprised at how many customers were directed to buy new appliances. The initial price of the visit was $59, which was very fair and my total cost was $118 which was extremely fair and much cheaper than a new dryer.

Description of Work: our GE refrigerator needed repair. he Apsco technician came out and checked the fridge. To repair it would cost us over 300 dollars. He advised to buy a new one, which we did.

Description of Work: It seems that the fan in the freezer compartment was rubbing on something and emitted a horrible screetching sound all night until I could get them here. It eventually let up but it needed to be replaced. I called the company at 8 AM and they were here by 9:30. They are practically around the corner so the needed part was driven here and it was fixed. The repairman was very courteous.

+ -1 moreThe site reports that Free Estimates are available but when I call to set an appointment, I was told that there was a fee to come to my house and give me an estimate. I stated that the website listed "Free Estimates: Yes". I was told no that was incorrect.

(Second Appliance Repair called, first one couldn't come until Monday)Service man called Saturday morning and said that he could come between 10 and 12. He came about 11:00AM and was able to get the machine working in about a half hour. We are very pleased with the service. He recommended that we get the dryer vent cleaned out. Note: they do not do that service. We appreciate that information. It saves us from a dryer problem.

+ -1 moreI was happy to find somebody who could come on the specific day I requested. Other places I called wanted to give me an appt. 2 weeks later. I knew I would be home for a different repair job, and Apsco was the only company who had time available on that day. I was thrilled that the repairman arrived on time, was very efficient, and knew just what needed to be done. It was fixed quickly, and he assured me that even though my dryer isn't new, that it still has plenty of life left in it. I will definitely call them for future appliance repairs.

They called back a few minutes later with a repair arrival time of between 1-3 pm and said the repairman would call me at work when he was on his way because I work very close to home. Shane called me at 1:18 and we met at the house. He quickly detected the problem with the refrigerator and fixed it with the part from his truck. Then we stepped into the garage and he removed the dryer cover to access the broken drive belt. He replaced the belt and the belt guide. Next he replaced the door switch. He showed me that all was working well. We filled out the paperwork, finished the payment, and I left to return to work. Total time from his phone call until I was back at work was only 52 minutes.
Description of Work: Replaced fan in refrigerator. Also replaced drive belt and door switch on dryer.

+ -1 moreIt was great they came out on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, I was really impressed with that. They are polite and prompt. They don't mess around. They got the job done. They were pretty good. The main thing is they were really fast.
Description of Work: They repaired our dishwasher and refrigerator that we bought from them. The repairs happened just after they ran out of warranty and within a month of each other. Our refrigerator went out on Christmas Eve, and the guy actually came out and was actually to fix it so we could use it for about 72 hours. The guy then called us the day after Christmas and came out and finished the job. When our dishwasher we had to wait on a part to fix it, but the guy came out on New Year's Day to finish fixing it. The cost of $120 is for the repair of the front panel touch pad on the dishwasher.

dryer vent cleaning
+ -1 moreThe dryer was taking 2 hours to dry and we had a lot of water leaking underneath. APSCO sent a technician out because we had a leak. The tech said that we needed the duct to the dryer cleaned. APSCO performed a superficial cleaning to the vent and they charged us $100. They then referred us to another company to do the rest of the job. The tech didn't know what he was doing. Tech also left a huge mess.

The manager Louis personally contacted me to let me know he was investigating this. He took a personal interest even though I never met him. + -1 moreExplaining the problem and setting up an appointment took about 10 minutes. The following day 4 calls were received to schedule and reschedule as well as discuss the water filter again. They called again the next day to say they would be there that day..not the day scheduled. The repairman fixed the light in the fridge but said he didn't have the water filter on his repair order and left.
