They are outstanding. They are honest. They have good deals on prices. They are a little expensive, but they will sell you what you can afford. They are really good to work with.

We've been using them for about ten years. The last time they came out we weren't even charged, because of contract. I really appreciate that they were recommended to us, because they are very ethical, which I think is very true. A lot of air conditioning companies, don't seem to have this trait anymore.
Description of Work: They maintain our air conditioner. We have a yearly contract, which consists of two inspections per year.

Unit under warranty. Installed by this company 3 years ago. Unit went out Saturday morning. It was 90 degrees that weekend. We were told unit could not be fixed until Monday because part was not on truck. We had to go out and buy a small window unit to get through the weekend since it was 89 degrees in our home. Everyone we dealt with was polite and the unit was fixed however we feel we have had excessive service calls on this unit and it has never cooled as we were guaranteed it would when we purchased it. I cannot rate the company positively for responsiveness since we were left to deal with 90 degree heat for 2 days. Since the unit was repaired Monday morning I feel there is a good possibility the repair person didn't want to make the trip to the shop to pick up the part.

THE CUSTOMER HAS A TRANE SYSTEM AND REPAIRS CAN ONLY BE MADE USING TRANE PARTS. TRANE STORES ARE NOT OPEN ON SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS. WE DO NOT STOCK EVERY AND ANY PART IN THE SHOP NOR DOES THE TECHNICIAN HAVE ACCESS TO THE SHOP ON THE WEEKEND. FURTHERMORE, THE WARRANTY COVERAGE STATES THAT “PREMIUM LABOR CHARGES OR “OVER-TIME” CHARGES CHARGED BY THE SERVICER FOR REPAIRS MADE DURING OTHER THAN HIS NORMAL HOURS” ARE NOT COVERED BY THE TRANE WARRANTY. IT IS QUESTIONABLE THAT TRANE WILL EVEN PAY US FOR THAT SATURDAY SERVICE CALL. THE CUSTOMER IS BEING UNREALISTIC IN GIVING US AN “F” IN RESPONSIVENESS. WE DID RESPOND TO THE SATURDAY AND THE VARIABLE SPEED MOTOR WAS REPLACED ON MONDAY MORNING. CUSTOMER’S FILE SHOWS THAT THERE HAS BEEN ONE CALL REGARDING A BLOWER ADJUSTMENT AND THREE SERVICE CALLS REGARDING THE THERMOSTAT WIRING. THIS IS NOT EXCESSIVE. THERMOSTAT WIRING IS NEVER INCLUDED WITH WARRANTY COVERAGE YET WE REPAIRED IT AT NO CHARGE. IF THE CUSTOMER BELIEVES THAT WE HAVE NOT DONE OUR JOB, THEY MAY REFER TO THE “TERMS AND CONDITIONS” OF THEIR WARRANTY AGREEMENT TO THE CHANGE SERVICE PROVIDER. THIS IS THE FIRST COMMENT FROM THE CUSTOMER THAT STATES THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR “TRANE” SYSTEM NOT COOLING AS WELL AS EXPECTED. IF THIS IS TRULY WHAT THEY BELIEVE, WE CAN CERTAINLY DO A QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION ON THE SYSTEM AT NO CHARGE AND IF NECESSARY IT CAN BE REFER TO THE TRANE ASSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. I CALLED AT 8:00 AM AND THEY WERE HERE AT 11:00 AM. JERRY WAS PROMPT, POLITE AND VERY EXPERIENCED. HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT IN 30 MINUTES. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN WHEN I NEED A/C OR HEATING WORK DONE.

JOB 1: THEY ARE PUNCTUAL, SHOW UP ON TIME AND CALL YOU TO REMIND YOU OF UPCOMING SERVICE MAINTENANCE. THEY HAVE NOT MANUFACTURED ANY "PROBLEMS." I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM, DUE TO BEING A SINGLE HOMEOWNER, THE GUYS I HAVE DEALT WITH HAVE BEEN ETHICAL AND THE PRICE IS COMPETITIVE. WHEN THEY QUOTE A REPAIR THEY QUOTE BY THE HOUR. THEY ARE VERY QUICK. FOR AN EXAMPLE DUCT WORK IS $80/HR. JOB 2: ALTHOUGH THIS COMPANY CAME OUT AND ATTEMPTED TO FIX MY PROBLEMS WITH THE THERMOSTAT, IT WAS STILL NOT WORKING. I WAS UPSET AND CALLED THEM BACK TO TELL THEM THAT I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT MY AIR! THEY WERE VERY, VERY RESPONSIVE IN COMING RIGHT BACK OUT AND REPAIRING IT UNTIL THE AIR WAS BLOWING AGAIN.

THE FIRST VISIT: THE GUYS DIDN'T SHOW UP! I CALLED AND THEY RESCHEDULED FOR ANOTHER DAY--FOR WHICH THEY SHOWED UP SEVERAL HOURS LATE. THEY WORKED IN THE DARK WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND PUNCTURED A FREON LINE WITH A SCREW. THEN, THEY HAD TO BRAZE THE HOLE AND START OVER WITH THE FREON CHARGE. SECOND TIME, THEY WERE TWO HOURS LATE AND STAYED 15 MINUTES TO TELL ME MY COMPRESSOR WAS BAD (I ALREADY KNEW THAT). THEY CHARGED ME $70 AND LEFT. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ABOUT $1500 TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED. I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY, WHO LOOKED UP THE COMPRESSOR AND FOUND IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I HAD THEM REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR.
Description of Work: THE FIRST TIME WAS TO MOVE THE OUTSIDE CONDENSER UNIT. THE SECOND TIME WAS TO FIX THE CONDENSER UNIT THAT THEY MOVED A COUPLE MONTHS PRIOR.

UNHAPPY WITH THE INSPECTION. THEY MISSED RATHER OBVIOUS ITEMS, TRIED TO SELL DUCT WORK and ULTRA VIOLET LIGHT. DON'T TRUST THEIR OPINION AT ALL. I'M SOMEWHAT CONVINCED THEY MADE THE SLASH WE FOUND and THEIR MAN MISSED.

THEY HAD TO RETURN FOUR TIMES TO GET THE UNIT TO WORK CORRECTLY, CAUSING ME TO MISS WORK EACH TIME. I FOUND LATER I COULD HAVE SAVED A LOT OF MONEY BY USING A REMANUFACTURED UNIT, WHICH HAVE MADE MORE SENSE IN MY MANUFACTURED HOME UNIT IS LOUD. THEY USUALLY ARRIVED AN HOUR LATE FOR APPOINTMENTS, and DIDN'T DEAL WITH PROBLEMS PROFESSIONALLY OR HONESTLY. I FELT THEY DIDN'T RESPECT MY INTELLIGENCE, and TRIED TO DIMINISH THE CREDIBILITY OF EXPERTS.

I ASKED FOR A SPECIFIC BRAND OF AIR CONDITIONER AND HE BROUGHT OUT BROCHURES ON BRYANT AND TRANE AND TRIED TO PUSH ME ON THE BRYANT BRAND. DID NOT COME THE DAY THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO COME. THEY CAME THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THE REASON THEY DID NOT SHOW UP THE DAY BEFORE WAS DUE TO AN INJURY. AND THEN THEY NEVER RETURNED TO GIVE ME A PRICE AND TO THIS POINT I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.

REPAIR WAS DONE QUICKLY AND SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY. ON HIS WAY OUT, HE HANDED ME AN ''INFO SHEET'' DETAILING THE REGULATION CHANGES THAT WILL TAKE EFFECT NEXT YEAR REQUIRING MORE ENERGY-EFFICIENT UNITS. ERWOOD WORKED WITH ME IN A TIME THAT WAS GOOD FOR ME. THEY REMINDED ME ABOUT THE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT THAT I HAD WITH THEM, THEY HAVE EVEN SENT SOMEONE OUT ON A SUNDAY WHEN I NEEDED THEM. THEY CALLED THE INSPECTION COMPANY FOR ME TO SET UP INSPECTION FOR THE HOUSE; I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING! THE UNIT OF OUTSIDE AND THEY KNEW TO RAISE UNIT OFF THE GROUND LIKE YOU NEED TO IN FLORIDA. THEY CHARGED ME THE SAME PRICE THAT THEY QUOTED ME, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEEDED ANOTHER DAY TO FINISH UP. THEY ALSO HAD A FLEXIBLE WAY TO ALLOW ME TO PAY. GREAT COMPANY.

We have provided service to member's company since 3/02. In that time we have been at his location 16 times for maintenance and service. On every occasion this customer indicated to us that they were satisfied. This customer has not only been responded to in a timely fashion he has had services extended to him at no charge. He has had my general manager at his location freely giving of his time and expertise and to ensure that we were treating the customer properly. He has been given samples of products to try. On every occasion our customer service department called to see if he was satisfied. His response was always positive. I see this situation completely opposite of him. I am completely confused as to what his complaint is.

AFTER TRYING TWO OTHER COMPANIES THAT DID NOT RESPOND THOUGH THEY ADVERTISED EMERGENCY SERVICE ON WEEKENDS/EVENINGS, THIS COMPANY WAS A LIFE SAVER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Description of Work: I CONTACTED THIS COMPANY ON A SUNDAY EVENING (6PM) AS MY AIR CONDITIONER HAD STOPPED WORKING. THE TECHNICIAN PROMPTLY CONTACTED ME AND ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE 2 HOURS LATER. HE REPLACED THE FAN MOTOR IN MY A/C UNIT.

Member called 5/6/04 for water leak. Mechanic, Mark flushed drain line & found system to be low on Freon. System was charged to proper pressures & customer was advised that a leak check was needed. At her request we where to call her & schedule a leak check. On 5/20 the leak check was done & the leak was located in the evaporator coil. A quote was given for replacement of air handler due to age & condition of equipment & work was scheduled. On 5/25 equipment was installed. On 5/26 member called our office & asked to speak to owner. She stated that our mechanic Jay had "hit" on her & she was an older lady & didn't appreciate that at all! I told her I was sorry for any misunderstanding &/or any ill taken comments. I assured her I would speak w/ mechanics that did her work. Both men assured me they tried to do the best job possible. They both thought member was upset over a recent surgery. I understand the member being upset but we feel she may have taken Jay's comments out of context.

I HAD AIRFLOW TO MY RESIDENCE TO CHECK UP ON A POSSIBLE DUCT LEAK, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE NOTHING. THEY WERE ON TIME, VERY AFFORDABLE AND WERE WILLING TO TAKE THE TIME OUT TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME. THEY CAME OUT TWICE, FIRST TO INITIALLY TAKE NOTES ABOUT MY UNIT AND SECOND TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BOTH TIMES THEY WERE PROMPT. I REALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY WERE COMMUNICATORS.
