MAGNIFICO Locksmith

James Magnifico was very professional and courteous. He's also someone I completely TRUST and will recommend to my friends. He rekeyed two Medeco locks, installed a third Medeco lock, rekeyed three additional locks, fixed the lock on my sliding glass door, and made 16 keys. I will just say that I initially called a different locksmith and did not have a good feeling. I then went to Angie's List and saw all of James Magnifico's well-deserved "A" reviews. Jame's prices ended up being hundred of dollars less than the other locksmith's.

I bought the locks myself. He was very good. He did the job. I liked the job he did. He actually charged me less than the estimate. I thought he was very professional.

Magnifico, if I can play on the company name!! He got them out, and installed new cam locks, but all keyed alike. He was prompt, courteous, and very efficient in communicating with me before and during the entire project. HIGHLY recommended!!

It was Halloween day and my wife was concerned she wouldn't be able to open and close the door for the trick or treaters. The inside door knob was hanging by its guts. We also wanted to install a deadbolt for extra security. I never had to deal with a locksmith before and didn't have any idea as to costs. By good luck my first call was to James. I explained the situation and even though his office is in Margate he said he could be over to my house in SW Pembroke Pines in 45 minutes. I didn't expect that. James arrived as promised. He was a very easy going friendly gentleman and proved to be very competent, honest and reasonably priced. He said he thought he could repair the door knob which saved me $125.00 on new hardware. He installed the deadbolt made us extra keys and cleaned up impeccably when he finished. He spent well over an hour doing his work. The money I saved on a new door knob paid for his work. $125.00 I cannot recommend him highly enough. I almost forgot, he noticed my door wasn't closing properly because of one of the hinges. This is what caused the doorknob to fail. He took care of that and now the door almost opens by itself, effortlessly.

I purchased a special deal through Angie's List for Magnifico Locksmith. James Magnifico did call me the very next day, and was courteous on the phone. However, he is so booked up with large commercial jobs that he really didn't have time to help me. He doesn't sell the hardware that would be needed to do the job, and asked me to buy it at Home Depot. I told him I went yesterday and couldn't find what I needed nor could I figure out what they were selling. There were different sizes and not what I needed. I asked him if he could buy it for me and I'd pay for it, and he said he was overextended on his credit because of his large commercial jobs. I asked if he would go with me to Home Depot so I could buy it on my own credit card. He reluctantly agreed to do this, but wouldn't let me go with him in his truck, and my husband needed our car for a doctor's appointment. I couldn't wait for several days, because we are prisoners in our own home without working door locks. In the end, he referred me to a local locksmith who is helping me today and does provide the hardware needed, at the list price from Home Depot. He did tell me that I could obtain a refund from Angie's List for the coupon/deal. In summary, Mr. Magnifico was responsive in returning my call, but had limited time, no flexibility, and could not really provide the services I needed. I am a condo owner -- not a commercial operation. I have no idea why he is offering a "special deal" on a service call through Angie's List when he doesn't have the time to fulfill them, and doesn't have the flexibility or apparent interest in working with individual homeowners.

I'm happy to report that our Locksmith James did an excellent job for us re-keying our locks for all our doors on our new home. We called ahead just a few days in advance and made an appointment, so as to have our locks changed the moment we got through closing on our home. James was punctual on our agreed time and did an excellent job with explaining the process. We ended up receiving 4 Master Keys that fit all the locks we re-keyed and we're very happy with the quality and value of his service.

Excellent! Super friendly, efficient, professional. The service was charged based on hours worked and I felt that James really respected my time and costs and completed well before I expected. He was also available after when I had some follow up questions.

It was good. They had quick turnaround so it was good. Everything was good. There were no bad experiences. They were kind and fast. It was working fine. There was nothing bad. Price was fair.

OUTSTANDING! I HIGHLY recommend James for any locksmith work. He installed the new lockset, deadbolt and peephole. My front door is a wooden and there has always been some friction in opening/closing. James took it upon himself to sand the edge of the door down and it now opens and closes perfectly. Above and Beyond!! And the bill was less than I expected.

A few days prior to my leaving on vacation, I decided that I would like to have a key less entry keypad installed on my front door so I could monitor the activity of my pet sitters and would not have to make them a spare key. I don't know anything about keypads or deadbolts or which one would fit on my door. I turned to Angie's List and found James Magnifico. We spoke on the phone and he was extremely helpful. I texted him a photo of my current locks and of the keypad that I wanted to install and he was able to assist me over the phone and let me know how he could install the new unit. He was very friendly, helpful and thorough. He was able to fit me in to his schedule right away. James did a fantastic job removing my old deadbolt and installing the new keypad. He tested the programming code and test codes and gave me a few simple instructions on how it works. Overall I think James did a wonderful job and I am extremely pleased with his work. His price was very fair and he was very efficient. It's nice to patronize small businesses and I will definitely recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I am thrilled to have this job done before I go out of town.

James was awesome! My husband and I purchased a new property. I called James a couple of days prior to the closing to let him know the day and time that we were closing. He said to give him a call once we were leaving the closing and he would meet us at the property. He was a man of his word. We called him as soon as we were done signing and he met us at the property 20 minutes later. He rekeyed all the doors and even created one key for all the doors instead of having 4 different keys for 4 different locks. I definitely recommend him for any of your locksmith jobs.
