Cornerstone Air, Heating, Plumbing & Electrical

I was very pleased with the work done by Jerry G and Manny, electrical technicians with Cornerstone Pros. I received a detailed estimate. My pre-projects questions were answered to my satisfaction, and the team worked with TECO for my electrical shut off on the day of the project. The project took about 8 hours which was reasonable. I was pleased they could do it all in one day. The team is Covid safe, friendly, and courteous. I am glad that I invested this work in the safety of my 1978 home.

It went great. The sales and installation people were great. My new system is in and running. I'm very happy.

No parts on the truck. Said he would break the faucet if he tried to repair, wanted to replace. They wanted just under $400 for just labor after If I purchased the parts myself. I did not use them, very overpriced and would not repair. It still cost me $49 for a service call. I would not recommend.

They came out and confirmed that my current unit was on its last leg and that the replacement parts were no longer available (confirmed through another company). The only issue was their replacement quote was $1000 higher than my other quote for a superior unit.

They called me to set appt. Then called 20 minutes before appt to adv technician was enroute. I took time off work and went home. When I got home, there was a voice mail from Miguel that they only do small jobs and can't handle anything with an inspection. I called them and Ashlan put me on hold and then told me no, the technician was on his way and to wait. I waited an hour and called back. Stephanie told me they had cancelled the technician but did not advise me. DON'T MAKE APPOINTMENTS FOR WORK YOU CAN NOT DO!!! So I wasted 2 hours of vacation time because their company can not communicate and set an appointment outside of the scope of their work.

The leak was fixed and the pipes straightened out. They did a super job.

The company responded quickly to my request. The technician was courteous, prompt, highly competent, and honest. The problem was a simple electrical problem. He made sure everything was in good shape and running correctly before he left. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly. The charges were reasonable. No upselling or sales pressure. Excellent service in every respect.

The project went just as planned. Jason was very professional.

My upstairs unit was working, but not able to keep up with the warmer temperatures in late afternoon, despite being only 2 years old (new construction). I called and spoke with Kathleen, who was courteous and polite and scheduled a tech that morning. Our technician was Ronnie. He was efficient, methodical, pleasant, and patient. He systematically worked through his process and diagnosed a faulty expansion valve. It had to be ordered, and while the part was covered by warranty, the labor wasn't, and neither was the new refrigerant that had to be put in. He wrote everything up to give to us in case we wanted to get the home builder to remedy the problem. We decided we didn't want to wait, so gave him the go ahead. He got the part ordered and schedule the repair for us 2 days later. Daniel was our installer for the new parts. He was also very professional, efficient, and courteous. He got done in less time than our first tech estimated, and the A/C is running again like new. Also, I should point out that this review was written during the stay-at-home for COVID-19, and both techs wore masks, gloves, and footwear without being asked, which is great. As someone with a new house, naturally, it's a bummer having to pay nearly $700 for a new Carrier unit that is under warranty (which is not the fault of the service company. Despite that, I found this to be a very positive experience with Cornerstone, and will use them in the future without hesitation, and would recommend them for sure. Thanks to Ronnie and Daniel, they're fine representatives for your company!

On the heating and air it's been great. And the electrical is good. Limited experience with the plumbing.

$69 just to get an estimate seemed high to me, so I didn't have them come out.

Tech Sean was able to come earlier than scheduled. I was notified in advance and approved. Sean is a very courteous professional and did an excellent job identifying non working component. I am very satisfied with this company and will be my first call in the future.

We worked with two different Cornerstone Pros technicians - Neilsen for HVAC and Jerry for electrical - in 9/13/19. While the scope and effort was broader for HVAC, both Neilsen and Jerry identified and corrected unusual problems. They both did excellent work. Further, they both were true pros and great guys. Most important, their work fully satisfied the buyers, and our home closed yesterday. We highly recommended the new homeowners to engage Cornerstone, and we'll continue to be a happy Cornerstone in our new home (in the same town).

The A/C is still working and I hope it lasts longer. I am not ready to invest in a new system to cool my home.

When they installed 3 overhead lighting fixtures, the technician stole the unused hardware from the lighting kits. As he was installing the lights I asked why he did not use the included hardware and he claimed it was obsolete, but he took it without letting me know. After he left I was examining the empty boxes and discovered he had taken the hardware. I ask detailed questions when someone is doing work for me and he was unable to fully explain the installation, but when I went to Home Depot to verify that the installation was correct, the tech's explanation was very clear. I initially contracted for additional work, but decided never to use this company again. It took 2 weeks and three calls to get my deposit refunded. I have called repeatedly to have the stolen hardware returned, with no success. They are way overpriced and customer service is lacking.

It was very difficult to get a response for an electrical work quote. Finally we asked and received a manager's email, who after a couple tries did not respond after initially doing so. They wanted a fee to give a quote, versus other A-rated competitors who did not. We used Cornerstone for two new AC units, so given the amount spent then, we thought the service would be as good for electric. Unfortunately it was not even close.

Cornerstone did a complete replumb of my property. After a few years, a pipe came apart in the ceiling causing THOUSANDS in damages. After being assured numerous times, by multiple employees, they were a company based upon principals and would resolve the issue, as the was a direct result of poor workmanship by Cornerstone. I hired a reputable company to fix the damages (I personally paid for out of pocket) they decided they were not able to pay for the damages because the fitting was not available that came apart. Please keep in mind the fitting was lost as the ceiling was falling down because of all the water that had flooded the home. I have multiple photos showing the pipe separation. Additionally, every time you call their office, the supervisors are on a call or in a meeting and you are told they will call you back. Unfortunately, this is not accurate as I was lucky to get a call back 1 out of 10 times. Using email communication, I was lucky to get a response 1 out of 5 times. I would strongly recommend using a different company for your plumbing needs if you want a company that is honest and stands behind their work.

Estimate was said that wires would need to be cut and what not. All they did was just lift and move. If I was told that was the case I would have done it myself. Shame they are losing a customer that was going to be in the market for 2 ac installs in the fall.

Gary, the technician, called ahead of time to alert was on his way. Arrived, and got right to work checking all our plumbing fixtures, e.g., toilets, drains, etc. Also, drained water heater. Went over a checklist with me on what he discovered and made recommendations. Very conscientious, and provided helpful information. Pleasure dealing with Cornerstone technicians!

The work was done in a timely and professional manner. Daniel was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. JP was equally helpful. Really don't have any complaints with their work.

I had Cornerstone replace the complete HVAC system, in 2 of my homes. 1 was uneventful so far, the other has been a headache. They had to return at least 3 or 4 times in the week after installation, to keep the unit working. It was finally corrected and the unit has been working fine ... until this week. The unit and installation is less than 3 years old. My tenant called last night, to tell me the HVAC was not working. Cornerstone, to their credit, sent a technician, at 9 pm on a Sunday night. They discovered a "fan" needed to be replaced, which of course, is under the warranty ... which according to the manufacturer, doesn't not include "Labor", only "parts". So ... I paid $69.95, for the Dealer to determine a warranty item needed to be replaced. Imagine if that happened on your automobile? If your Dealer charged you, to diagnose and it was a warranty problem? So the fan needs to be replaced. The typical cost for a fan of this type, is probably about $150. In this case, the fan was provided to Cornerstone FREE, from the manufacturer. It took the technician about 15 minutes to replace the fan. I was changed $498 for the "Labor" portion of the warrantied repair. Cornerstone seems to do quality work and their responsiveness is exceptional ... expect to get price gouged for the privilege.
