Description of Work: I was told by a person inspecting our gutters that we had a roof leak. I contacted V E Quillen Roofing to inspect the area in question. And was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Devon arrived on time and was very professional. He looked at the area in question then went into the attic to see if the wood had any staining. Devon said he was unable to see any staining on the wood which indicated there was not an active leak. Devon was very informative and helpful. I have filed this companies name in my contacs for future use.

Description of Work: I had three different roofers correct a problematic area of my roof , over a 5 year period This was 5 years ago..l was concerned that repairs made previously to my roof five years ago were faulty.I had a handyman look at it and he told me there were many leaks that were being filtered out of my roof and that I needed a great deal of repair. I called V.E Quellin for an estimate.Four hours after I telephoned for an inspection Mr. Quellin's son arrived and made a thorough inspection both inside the attic and on top of my roof. I was told I needed no work whatsoever..there were no leaks. And he refused to take any money for the inspection.He was personable, thorough and explained in detail the work that had been done, it turns out properly. YOU MAY BE SURE THAT IF/OR WHEN THERE IS A LEAK AGAIN, THIS IS THE COMPANY I WILL CALL.

Description of Work: I called this company for an estimate on a roofing repair. Although they didn't do the work because they don't work on the type of roof I have, they were very honest, professional and informative in giving me advice for finding another company that would do the repairs.

Description of Work: Very nice and honest company. They came over to give us an estimate on fixing the roof of a house we were thinking of buying. However they said that the roof was t repairable and that it needed a new roof which they did not do.

Description of Work: I talked to the owner on the phone and said he would send his son out to estimate. His son came out and looked at the job to be performed which was to repair a small area of roof flashing for a leaking skylight. His son told me that they would remove a couple of roof tiles and flash the skylight and put the tiles back and that his father would email me a quote. I receuved the email 2 days later with a quote of $1,180.00 which included a $100.00 discount for using Angies List. I think this quote is outragious as the material cost cannot exceed $80.00 and therefor pay him $550.00 per hour for 2 hours work.

Description of Work: Was by far the best experience we had to date. We have not had to call them since their repair work done long ago. But if we have roof problems they will be call we make. Even years has past and we remember the professionlism of quote of work and price and next day repair work.

Description of Work: Great to work with. Had them look at two different properties. The first one he could see I attempted a repair on my own but had missed a spot causing the real damage. He took time to show me what I missed, explained how I could complete the repair and advised me to save my money and finish what I started. He probably spent at least 30 minutes on the roof with me. All at no cost. I was happy to give him the second more extensive job which they completed quickly.

Description of Work: I LEFT A VOICEMAIL FOR THIS COMPANY 7 DAYS AGO, AND I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL. I KNOW THAT MANY ROOFERS ARE PROBABLY VERY BUSY DUE TO THE HEAVY RAIN FROM A WEEK AGO, BUT NOT TO RETURN SOMEONE'S PHONE CALL IS VERY RUDE. THAT IS JUST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

Description of Work: Skylight leak. I'm very satisfied with V.E.Quillen's Work,they did the work fast and efficient and the Skyligt already past the test with all the rain from Issac,not a drop.Great work!

Description of Work: Devon came to my home on August 16 to look at our roof leak. After doing so, he said that his father would email me with the quote to repair my roof leak. Never did hear from anyone from that company.

Description of Work: we called V.E. Quillen first to come out and look at a roof leak. A young man came out and just went on our roof. He never went into our attic, just went on the roof. It took almost a week with many phone calls to get a quote and we finally got it, it was twice the price of all other roofing companies. There response time to just give us an estimate was terrible and delayed us getting our roof done sooner. We would not recommend this company, as over priced and never having check throughly our leak problem.

Description of Work: Our realtor advised us to have the house inspected. The inspector found minor things to correct (like a malfunctioning GFI, a switch that needed replacing) and one possible major expenditure: Overhead leak evidence in 4 places on the roof each possibly costing up to $500. So I prepared myself for a major expenditure. V.E. Quillen was requested to give an estimate of costs before doing the repair. Devon Quillen inspected the roof and advised us that the roof is fine and there is no need to do any anything. His honesty and straightforwardness was very refreshing and I can highly recommend him if you want an honest estimate of roofing costs.

Description of Work: After a major rainstorm on Friday, water began dripping from one air conditioning vent. I was extremely upset and called V E Quillen Roof Repairs from Angies's List. I talked to Victor who was very helpful and setup an appointment for Monday morning. Devon arrived promptly and inspected the attic for signs of a roof leak. He didn't find any so it is either a new leak that doesn't show yet or condensation from the air conditioning duct. He also inspected the roof itself and the roof is old enough to begin having problems. It was decided to wait to see if it happens again and next time there might be signs of a leak in the attic. Excellent response, friendly and very helpful, I highly recommend V E Quillen Roof Repairs!!!

Description of Work: Honest people. They could have easily taken me for hundreds or thousands of dollars.What I thought was a big problem was really a non issue with a very simple solution. They came out and were on my roof about an hour after I made my first call to them. Very profesional. Very punctual. Great service. This company will always be my first call for roofing.

Description of Work: My roof was leaking and I tried to isolate the leak to fix it myself to no avail. I called Vic Quillen and left a message-he got back to me in about 15 minutes and within two hours his son, Devon was in my attic surveying the problem. Within a day, I had a quote from Vic that was very reasonable and i gave the go-ahead for the work to be done. I have to tell you, I would not have found this company had I not been a member of Angie's List and hired this company based on the reports from customers. They completed the work in a timely manner and I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean job when they left my house. By looking at my roof, you'd never know I had work done-they did an outstanding job. I have found my roofing company for any other problems I encounter with my current roof and I can assure you, they will be the company I use when I put a new roof on my home in a few years. Vic and his team were AWESOME to work with-very refreshing to find business people like the ones at VE Quillen Roofing.
