It went fantastic. They cam out immediately, and submitted an estimate to me within 3 days of me calling. They answered all questions I had, and were very forthcoming as to what they thought I should do. They gave me multiple options of ways to fix, all which would have worked. The work was done in 2 days, and the guys were clean, efficient, and very courteous.

I used them because they were at the top of Angie's List. He was on time and he was low bid. He did everything perfectly.

Overall the experience went very well. We thought there might be another leak in a totally different area. We called Quillen roofing again. They came out the same day,inspected the roof , noted it was an old leak that had been fixed and did not charge for the inspection. Wonderful company

They didn't charge me for the quote and it was a complicated issue. They only thing that they could do is rip up the patio, so he said to just get some caulk and patch it up myself, then they could rip up the patio as a last resort. A lot of times, the caulking gets old and it could be dripping in from there. He came out quickly and came out when he said he would. They didn't want me to have to go through the expense and the mess. He didn't want to charge me for work that wasn't absolutely needed.

They came and repaired the leak. They were very prompt with returning my phone call. He had great communication skills and explained exactly what he was going to do to resolve the problem.

I recommend them highly. His competitors did not get back to me, but he certainly did.

We found out that we actually didn't have a leak that we thought we had. They were great. They came over on time and had a look. He came out within a business day. He told us that we didn't have a leak, but there was just a little bit of drywall damage that was previously existing.

He gave a good quote and good information. I haven't made a decision yet, but I will probably go with him. I called him and he came out a couple of days later to measure. He called me and told me he had measured and sent me an estimate. He was very thorough and gave me a very fair price.

It was leaking down between 2 bedrooms and it was in a hard spot. They came in and did the work and did it very well. They cleaned up after themselves. The roof looked great and better than what it was before. It was just a leak repair and not a replacement of the whole roof. When we called them, they came out when they said they were going to be there and gave us a fair estimate. The gentleman had to crawl up through our attic to get to the actual spot, so it wasn't easy to get to. They were quick and they were clean. We have not had a problem since. We thought the price was fair. We most definitely would hire them in the future.

They were very good. They gave us an estimate beforehand. They came out and did the job and told us to call them if we had any other problems. They seemed like they were very competent. We may have gotten another estimate and the quotes were about the same so I would say the price was fine.

Prompt, courteous, professional on-site consultation at my home regarding a possible roof leak; thorough inspection entailed crawling through a confined attic space to inspect a "valley" from the underside of the roof - no easy task. Whatever concerns I had were alleviated by Mr. Quillen's son, who explained that the slight discolortions on the ceiling might have been from a previous leak; no evidence of an active leak could be found. Had there been a leak, the cost would have been fairly significant because of the labor involved in removing roof tiles, repairing the waterproof membrane underneath and then replacing the tiles. He also addressed my questions on old tile roofs and flat roofs in Florida. I did not expect the visit to be free, but when I asked how much I owed him for the inspection, the answer was "no charge." Rest assured Quillen Roofing will get my business in the future for any repairs needed on the roof of "this old house."

He was thorough and explained the old stain marks of an older leak. He did not charge for the visit. He was absolutely professional and very informative and helpful.

This was a perfect experience from start to finish. I got three quotes and V. E. came in the least expensive and offered the most. They came out right after my initial contact and got me an estimate within a few days. The crew was at my house from sun up to sun down every day. The job was estimated to take 4 days and they were finished in three. Victor took care of the permitting and had the code enforcer out everyday to make sure they were happy with the job. When the job was finished the crew left my house cleaner than they found it. Before the new roof I would have a pond on my roof for days after a big rain. This Sunday after a day of relentless downpour I climbed up a ladder to check my pond status to find not even a puddle. I couldn't be happier with the work and the customer service.

THEY SENT ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB WHICH I AGREED UPON, THEIR EQUIPMENT WAS CLEAN AND AS FAR AS I COULD TELL, EVERYTHING WAS DONE AND THINGS WERE CLEANED UP. THEY ARE SENDING ME BILL FOR THE COMPLETED JOB.

I called the company and left a message. My call was returned soon and an appointment was set for the owner's son to come to the house and give an estimate. There was a leak in a bedroom ceiling. He identified that the roof was the cause (which confirmed 2 prior companies' diagnosis). The owner said he would fax an estimate the following day. It was not faxed until 3 days after the appointment. The work involved (essentially removing some barrel tiles and replacing the bad roofing materials) was described and an estimate of $2570.00 was given. During that 3 day wait for the fax, I had decided to hire a different company which gave the estimate of $600.(!) on the spot and was able to do the job immediately (and exactly as described by the above company).

Nearly all roofers on Angie's List are highly rated but I chose Quillen because he was the only one whose reports I researched who had a long history of minor repairs & flat roofs, which is what I needed. I'd had a few roofers pre-Angie's List who looked at the leak & told me I needed a complete re-roofing, which seemed a little excessive. Quillen correctly identified the leak (it wasn't obvious & not what I & the previous roofers thought) & said it would not require a whole re-roofing. I had to call him a couple of times rather than wait for him to call me, BUT this was at the end of the wettest May in FL history & he was completely hammered with work--very understandable. This said, he always answered the phone personally--I had to leave a message only once & he called back within 30 minutes--and was very courteous & professional. AND, considering it was the first big rain of the season when everyone was finding out their roofs were leaking, he had an estimator out within 24 hours & once we got the estimate signed, they started work the NEXT DAY, even on such a small job. Actually, I was surprised I even hit his radar. I was anticipating a several-week wait while they took care of really urgent problems (I have to admit, even on the worst storm days rain leaked in at about a drop every 5 minutes--not as urgent as many people's leaks, I'm sure. The repair person arrived within his time window & got the job done a little sooner than anticipated, with little need for effort on my part. We've had one torrential downpour since then & I have yet to see a drop. About the bill: I mentioned I got him from Angie's List but I forgot to ask for my discount, however, it appeared on my invoice anyway. He's obviously attentive & aware. One last thing: I use both Angie's list & BBB to choose contractors. Quillen is a BBB member & I think has no complaints (can't remember now but it was not an issue); definitely none unresolved to customer's satisfaction--rated A by them also.

Received a quick response from Mr. Quillen. The work was initiated and completed within 2 days of the phone call. The quality of the repairs was excellent.

The workmanship was excellent. They did what they said they would do and were in a out quickly. They were excellent with their clean-up. I have no complaints.

He was wonderful. He is in business for himself. He did a wonderful job on the roof. He had to work with an abatement company. He did everything he was supposed to do. He was great to work with. He was always available to answer my questions.

Mr. Quillen was prompt in making a reasonable estimate. He provided a contract for the work and was fairly prompt in doing the work. Great clean-up and very polite crew.

This is a family owned business. From the estimates to the final payment, all the individuals that I encountered were members of the Quillen family. They always showed up on time, explained what they thought needed to be done, explained the various options, did quality work, and were reasonably priced.

We have had three other companies pretend to do this work. V E Quillen is the only company that had someone work all day, instead of the hour or two that the other companies spent. Unlike other South Florida contractors, this contractor returned phone calls, came when they said they would, didn't ask for a deposit, insists on a signed contract, and mails us the bill at the end of the project. This was also the least expensive bill we have had for this repair. They are very professional, and there is no doubt as to the quality of their work. They also didn't leave any trash that we would have to dispose of. I have no need to ever search for another roofing company. Thank goodness for Angie's list. I hope our South Florida nightmares are over.

I HAD HIRED A PREVIOUS ROOFING COMPANY WHO COULD NOT FIX THE LEAK IN MY ROOF. MR. QUILLEN CAME AND IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX IT VERY QUICKLY. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS FRIENDLINESS AND PUNCTUALITY.
