 + -1 moreI was very dissatisfied because I was quoted one price, and as the work went on the price kept increasing. The ending price ended up being double what I was quoted and more than what other plumbers said it would cost for the same job. I went with Ryan Plumbing because I had a time issue. I felt like he had very predatory pricing. Once everything is torn apart he increased the price. The price the quoted was $450, at the end of the job the had come $1045, I ended up paying $520.
Description of Work: He did a cap-off of two bathroom sinks and a shower.

 + -1 moreI called Ryan Plumbing after I got their name off Angie's List. I was rearranging the layout of the master bath. Ryan gave me a quote for moving the cast iron drains, $2200 for less than two days of work. Because of the good reviews, I decided go ahead with it. The day before he was to do the work, we got a stop-work order. When I called to reschedule, his wife (and office manager) said they would still be ok with us doing all the copper work and installing the fixtures ourselves. Three months and a permit later (after plenty of time to find someone else's passes) I schedule him to do the work. When he arrives he tells me he would have to do all the work himself. The estimate? $7,800, at least two grand over any other estimate I subsequently received. Classic bait and switch. This is the guy that gives the entire industry a bad name, don't fall for it. If you don't mind paying an exorbitant amount for fixing a toilet, he probably won't disappoint, otherwise don't waste your time.
Description of Work: New cast iron drains to be installed as well as moving some copper pipes and drains. The only 'work' done was actually just advising us on the size of the holes that needed to be drilled into the concrete slab. One size he gave us was an inch too small, then, after it was done he blamed us for not knowing any better.

 + -1 moreRyan himself showed up. Pricing was upfront, easy to understand and reasonable. Since my job was somewhat custom, he charged me on a time and materials basis. This ended up working well since he encountered a bad thread on one of my shut-offs. He swapped that out in almost no additional time and everything is working great!

 + -1 moreI think it went very well. We weren't expecting the time it took to remove the washer hose, but it had to be done. Our washer is 15 years old and will have to be replaced one of these days. We were impressed with DJ and his work ethics. He came in, started to work, and cleaned up after the work was done.
Description of Work: We called Ryan Plumbing because our garbage disposal stopped and was smoking when it did. We also had two minor fixes in the bathroom....new stopper in bathroom basin and new handle on the toilet, plus remove the old washer hose and replace with a stainless steel hose. Two other people tried to remove the hose and gave up, it was rusted shut. DJ was the young man that showed up and did the first two projects in no time, but he had to file the connector on the washer hose, and bend little pieces at a time, I think it took an hour, but he did remove it and put the other hose in place. We were very satisfied with his work. He had another job and it was already after 5 PM, so we told him we'd do the garbage disposal the next day. The next day he called to say that he was caught in 5 PM traffic, but would be here as soon as possible. The disposal was installed in about 40 minutes.

Description of Work: To find Ryan Plumbing I used Angie's List and he was worth the price of admission! He priced us by the job, (beforehand) made suggestions and did not try to push work on us. He arrived on time, even calling from the road to let us know he was on his way. His work was professional, he and his employee were courteous and when it started to rain outside, and he had been out in it, he left his shoes in the garage. Very considerate. He did repair work on a leak in a hard to get at pipe and managed to fix it without cutting into the wall. He put a water shut off valve on outside which required some configurations I know he did not count on and also put in faucets in a laundry room sink. We would definitely call him again.

 + -1 moreSince this was an outside job, I did not need to be present, but I will say that they came on the day we scheduled, called to let me know they were there, and left an invoice for me to pay upon completion. The job went very well, the tap does not leak, there was no mess left, and overall, I received professional service.
Description of Work: They replaced a leaking tap on an external spigot were the water main comes into the house. This involved removing the old tap and replacing with a new one, which required soldering.
