Ryan Plumbing

Ryan offered to come later in the day, and when I said I was hoping to go back to work, he had one of his workman leave a tub installation to come to my house within 15 minutes and unclog my master bath toilet. This was a great service and the workman was very nice and explained everything he was doing. The reason I rated the rest of the service a B is because he didn't use gloves and I didn't like how he handled the wet snake. If he'd used gloves, if he'd washed his hands with soap, and if he had a lid or container for the snake, it would have been better. When he removed the snake tool from the toilet, he touched the tip that had gone into the clog with his hand to shorten it. Then he leaned it on my light painted wall. He used a very dirty looking towel to put beneath it. Then he barely rinsed his hands under the water without soap. After carrying the wet snake back through my house, he leaned it against another painted wall in my hallway. Then he plunged my kitchen sink instead of opening the trap to check it. I wondered where the plunger had been.

The man Ryan sent replaced all the insides of the tank as it was leaking badly, my water bills were unbelievably high, and it was turned off and therefore unusable. The fellow told me he was new and would I tell his boss he did a good job. He had not yet finished, but I said I would and did leave Ryan a message that he did a good job. Ryan stands behind the work his team does and if something is not right you can count on him to fix it - no charge.

Went Well. Ryan was very honest. Did not try to "UPSELL"

Everything went well. They acted professionally, were very nice, and did a good job of cleaning out the pipes. Furthermore, they were able to respond more quickly than other companies which I appreciated.

He had to send someone else out that the company uses. He incorporated the cost together and only charged us once for the service fee. They were reasonable, charged a fair amount, and were workable. He did a good job. He called me right back and was easy to contact. He was very conscientious about customer service.

Joe Salina, very polite, used a 10 foot snake and unclogged the drain. Took less than 15 minutes. This is the second time I used Ryan Plumbing. They are the Best.

Ryan came at the time we had agreed upon. Was a pro from the start and fixed the issue I had been trying to figure out for a week in less than 20 minutes. Will most definitely use him again and will recommend him to my friends. In the near future I'll be calling on him again for whole house re-piping project.

I got a phone estimate. He charges $40 "come out fee" + $90 per hour= first hour is $140. I went with a company that just charges by the hour ($90), without the "come out fee".

He comes when I call him and we have used him a lot. He seems to be efficient in his work.

Called company to set up service call and left a message. Call was returned in under 5 minutes. Spoke to owner of company who listened to my issue and suggested a few quick fixes to check for myself, before he came out on the call. One of them fixed my issue. Most companoes would have just come out and charged just for the service call. I was very impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Would use them again anytime the need arose and would highly recommend them.

We were having issues with getting hot water to our master bathroom shower. They came out and were very professional, respectful. and thorough. Even took off their shoes when walking on our carpet! Our hot water issue is fixed and we are very happy.

After a year of having the toilet not be fixed. We had another guy come out who found something lodged in the jet. It was obviously done by this company.

Ryan Plumbing was called for blocked sewer line. He quoted us an hourly rate to use his machine but said he would try unplugging it manually first. It worked and he was done within 15 minutes of arrival. He was honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly the best contractor we have ever come across.

Ted showed up and was friendly & pleasant. Came to appt over 2 hrs late due to previous appt but did keep in contact. Its was very inconvenient as I had an appt immediately following that I nearly missed. Toilets were fixed (parts replaced) and cartridge was replaced without issue (two hrs) They were efficient and the work was good. However, a bottle was broken during moving of bathroom toilet rack. Although I would've declined (it was inexpensive), no mention of replacing or compensation. Not sure I would use them again, overall. .

They were on time, professional, and worked quickly. Furthermore, they did a great job, and we couldn't be happier with the work..

Way overpriced. See description above for detailed expalination of why I think the price was way high. UPDATED INFO...after reading the response Ryan Plumbing made I can respond as follows. The contractor I used was NOT an unlicensed contractor they were fully licensed and insured and have an excellent rating here on ANgie's List. They are ANYTIME PLUMBING and did a fine job. While Ryan claims that a water heater replacement takes 4 hours and at $100 per hour they make only a fair return he has overstated the scope of the job. I personally watched the plumber install my water heater and know for a fact it took a total of 1.75 hours...it was an easy 30 gallon first floor condo installation. He was told this at the time of his estimate but still chose to quote based upon some fictitious averages that do not apply to an individual case. Further update: I have read your response and am confused as to whether you are pleased with my review or take issue with it. You thanked me for my positive response then told me you do not appreciate what I had to say?

Professional, friendly, and helpful. Arrived on time, and performed work promptly. Will definitely use them again.

This was the 4th time I've used Ryan Plumbing and I can't imagine why I would call a different plumber. Everytime he or another technician arrives promptly and does an excellent job.

Ryan's Plumbing made this job look very simple, but it wasn't. He initially was going to replace the toilet, but had to remove the flange below that was cracked and causing leaks. I was impressed with how he managed to keep the water and mess from going all over the bathroom. I asked lots of plumbing questions during the job and he was honest about it all. Also, the final install was better than I've seen on this problem area in my house. I have confidence in his skill. He also recommended a product that was a little more expensive than the local hardware stores, but wow! It was sooooo worth the money. Sadly, I am impressed by a toilet, but after the problems in that bathroom, I am very happy with the outcome. I will definitely call Ryan's Plumbing again if I need plumbing work. I like how he has pricing set up ahead of time so you know what pay range to expect.

He did a very good job replacing the bib. When I spoke to him he informed me what the price would be. I did not know how long the job would be so I agreed. Had I known, I might have shopped around on your website. What I think might be in order is for the trades to post rates (example 1st 15 minutes, etc.) so the customer would have an idea of what is fair. It could also encourage competition from the trades such as plumbing.

He was excellent. The guy that came did a wonderful job. I felt the price was fair and the work was good. Everything was left in good order and they were very professional. I have nothing but compliments for them.

From initial call to the date of service we were satisfied with Ryan.

Sent Ryan Plumbing an email via Angie's list on Tues morning explaining that our house was having hot water issues. Got a call within the hour to discuss an estimate and likely problem. Since he was in the area, came by the same day to look at the heater and get an estimate. Turned out the pump that circulates the hot water around the house was broken and needed to be replaced. Provided an estimate for a new pump and also the addition of two valves to make any subsequent repairs easier. We set up work for 2 days later. Ryan came by and performed all the work within the time he had previously estimated. Kept the garage area very clean and worked quickly and effectively. Ryan was very personable and willing to explain what he was doing and how to troubleshoot water heater issues going forward. Would definitely recommend using Ryan plumbing and will definitely call them next time we have a problem. Estimate was same as the final bill minus the 25 off for providing the Angie's list coupon.

It was exceptional. He came out and changed the water heaters and was extremely professional.
