I could not ask for a better experience. First, Jacob set the whole experience off with a truly thorough leak detection and explanation of what he found. He is total pro and even dealt with the pool guy dumping chemicals in the pool while he was in the area. I proceeded to use Red Rhino for the fix of the leaks in my pool. John was the repair tech who was amazing and a total pro. Everything was fixed and explained clearly ahead of repairs and after pictures were sent to verify all work that was done. Extremely happy with job that was done.

Not good. The technician wanted to cut out my pool nitch and Jack hammer deck to replace nitch. After he found the leak I filled the leak and it is good. Stay away from Red Rhino.

they came back with $3,500 of repairs needed to 3 different areas of pool. net result was, i waited and did not fix pool and it turned out that no further water was lost. their elaborate testing was a joke

I'm very pleased with the service from Red Rhino. I recommend them and would hire them again. Elvis came out and assessed the pool for leaks and determined their was water leaking through the throat of the skimmer. He provided 2-3 options for fixing the issue with varying costs associated. I decided to be thorough and get everything done to avoid future issues. Elvis actually returned later that day when I queried an area of the pool that we hadn't discussed while he was at my property. I thought this was excellent service and I really appreciated the very prompt follow up. They had an opening for just a few days later to perform the work so I took them up on it and they offered a $100 discount if the work was booked within seven days of the initial leak detection. The initial inspection/detection was $295 paid at the completion of the inspection. They did honor the Angie's List coupon which I was happy and relived about (Elvis had to confer that he could accept it). John arrived and few days later to carry out the work and he was punctual and very pleasant. He did a great job removing and replacing the skimmer and repairing the skimmer throat area. The work took the majority of the day. He was very neat and I feel the work was carried out professionally and done to a high standard. I'm very pleased with the result and most importantly there has been no further water loss! The repair work was $1695 (inc. the $100 discount). The one minor issue I had was that a couple of the things Elvis had mentioned to me when informing me about the process for fixing the leak were not specifically listed on the written proposal that was emailed to me- the use of "hydraulic cement" to fill the skimmer throat and the switch from a rigid pipe to a "flex pipe" that would go below the skimmer. I raised this with Elvis and he informed me that he doesn't see the itemized breakdown of the work on his end when he sends out the invoices and that he was surprised it wasn't listed and he would inform his Manager. I wasn't entirely happy with that response (the best solution I feel would have been to re-issue the proposal with everything that would take place specifically listed) but I followed up with John when he arrived to perform the work and he confirmed the flex pipe would be done. From a customer point of view, this is one of the areas where issues can often arise with companies and therefore, from experience can be feared and also be a red flag that needs addressing at the time or could even mean not following through with a company. There can often be a discrepancy between what is said verbally and what is written down and if it isn't corrected then the customer has no recourse in the event services that were discussed aren't carried out because the company strictly adheres to their written proposal. Resulting in an unhappy customer, bad reviews, no positive word of mouth, lots of negative word of mouth and no follow up business or referrals. Just to be clear though, this was a minor issue I had with Red Rhino and an area where there is a little room for improvement but overall they were excellent. The guys were both punctual and the communication was excellent. Overall I'm very happy with the service Red Rhino has provided and it's a relief to have this excellent experience in South Florida where I'm increasingly finding it hard to find quality services. Found a leak but they are too expensive and wanted to do more work than what was needed

From Rhonda, who answered my questions on Angie's list, to the tech, Chris LeBron, everything was perfect. Chris called 30mins prior to coming to the house. He was professional and explained everything in detail. He worked hard all day long and I never did see him take a break for lunch or anything else. He patched two places in the spa and had 4 patches to do in the pool area. The patches are not even noticeable. Excellent Work and he deserves recognition for his work!!!

They were very pleasant and efficient, Great service and on time. I would hire them again.

Leak technician (Zachary) spent almost 3 hours diagnosing the source of my pool leak. He offered 2 solutions to solve the problem. He was polite, professional, and very thorough with his work. Zachary had the expertise and necessary equipment to repair my pool. If you are looking for a pool leak detection company that will deliver top notch service through competent employees, Red Rhino should be your choice.

I found them on Angie's List. We had a problem with our pool , regular pool company wouldn't come out to repair. Red Rhino did the work , pool/spa repair. If I could give them higher than an A I would. They were so good, I would refer them to anyone!

Incompetence and price gouging. WARNING if you have a pool leak, avoid using red rhino leak detection as the work was incompetent (wanting to drain pool twice for overlooked leaks) and the fees become inflated. They sound good on the phone and then they get into creative billing even after they had overlooked multiple leaks.

We called explaining we had a leak. Told us the entire system would have to be checked and the cost would be $350 which included the in-ground cleaning system. The man arrived (on-time) and the price would be $450 because of the in-ground cleaning system. He appeared to be extremely through and spent over 5 hours at the house. Told us we had a hole in the one of the main drains (there are 2) which he tried to fix (puddy) but said it was too big. The cost to fix the drain that leaked was $1200 and suggest both be replaced. The second 2nd drain would be 40% off if we did them together. He said the same thing would probably happen to the 2nd drain. The cost was so high because the drains would have to be have to be ripped have to be taken out after the pool was drained. If we booked within 7 days we got a $100 off and would have to pay $100 to book an appt. Based on how he performed and the length of time he had spent we went ahead and booked the repair paying the $100. In the meantime we had an estimate for some title work and when and I mentioned the leak the man said he would come back and take a look which he did. Using a scuba tank he found the leak in under 10 minutes. He said it was minor and the cost was $45. He said all it needed was a little more puddy. We cancel the $2000 repair with Rino. They did return the $100 that we had to pay to make the appt. They gain your trust so when they tell you it's to big to do now and have to come back you believe them. Being very very careful with this company. I do not trust them.

Horrendous customer service. Made us wait for an appointment for 3 weeks. A few days before they were supposed to come, they called to ask for advance payment. Since we didn't have a credit card handy we called the next day only to find out that they had cancelled the appointment. They then told us we would have to wait another 3 weeks. They had the audacity to tell us that they called before cancelling but "the call didn't go through". What a load of crap. How does a call not go through? And if it did, don't you call again? Our pool is now almost empty and completely green since we had to turn off the pool pump. With customer service like that it seems very suspicious that they legitimately have such a good rating.

They tested the pool found a small leak in the light and a larger leak in the main drain, did a patch at no additional charge that should last until I have more major work done that will include replacing the old cement drain with a plastic one.

They patched a small leak in the spa, and made a follow up visit at no cost to repair a leak behind the main pool light.

WENT WELL....THEY WERE HERE ALL DAY! THE GUYS WORKED REALLY HARD UNTIL JOB WAS DONE AND VERY POLITE.

I called Red Rhino after I read some reviews on Angie's List. Daniel came out to test for leaks and found two. He was very professional and conducted a thorough review. He pressure tested the pipes and checked every place where water comes into or exits the pool (every place where the pool has an opening). When done, he presented a report and proposal complete with photos. I elected to fix both spa drains and to replace the skimmer that had been patched several times over the years. Faron and Jamie came out the very next day and spent the entire day with the repairs. They were highly professional, careful, and did a great job. They dug way down past the pool itself into the ground below and completely replaced the drains and the skimmer. Faron even reused the tiles removed from the old skimmer and framed in the new one better than the original. Again, they took pictures and sent a report after with the invoice. I knew it was going to be expensive but they gave me options. If you want it done right these are the people to call. I did not want some patch job slapped on like a band-aid. They did it right. The price for the leak testing was about $350 and the fix of two drains and the skimmer was roughly $2,300. I got a $100 credit towards the repair from the leak detection, so the leak test was really $250. I also got a $25 discount for Angie's List. The pictures that show the repaired drains show a white ring around the new drain. These pictures were taken before the top layer was applied to match the pool surface. Although a fresh repair can never exactly match the old surface, they did a great job of matching it as closely as possible.

Angie's list recommended red rhino leaked detection company. I asked my local pinch a penny store what they thought of red rhino, they said absolutely they would recommend red rhino . I called red rhino discussed pricing which was acceptable to me. The technician arrived at my home at the appointed time. Markus the service professional spent three hours finally detecting a small leak in one of the return lines. I call him a regular Sherlock Holmes. The following day the repair service professional came to the house repaired the leak. Travis repaired the concrete to its original design pattern. I hope I never have a leak again in my pool but if I do, I will call red rhino and hope that I get Marcus and Travis back to do the repairs.

Trouble shooting identified three areas of concern, the light fixture (a previous problem unresolved by other companies), the skimmer threshold and vacuum receptacle. They continued to check all other areas where leaks could occur in a systematic, professional manner. They took before pictures of the areas to be repaired and gave me an itemized estimate of them for my consideration. Seemed reasonable for a permanent repair, as opposed to the short-lived hypoxy repairs others had used in the past. I accepted the proposal and scheduled the job. Tom and his crew of three showed up on time and went to work. Red Rhino has an impressive program to utilize the skill of their most experienced people, while bringing their new hires on board with on the job instruction and increasing levels responsibility at the work sites. Tom's crew included himself, someone that had completed all company training and was gaining experience and a new hire who had been through initial training and was getting job experience. It is a good concept that results in very well-trained workers. The crew was very personable and I enjoyed seeing the job and associated training in progress. Tom proved to be an exceptional leader. They took the time needed to complete the job properly and worked into the evenings to do so, until they and myself were fully satisfied. They were also very thorough about cleaning up the work area. Again, pictures of the completed job were taken. The leaks were fixed and water loss was reduced to something less than 1/16 of an inch a day, a rate that has remained constant after five months now. I did have them return for one cosmetic fix and they did not hesitate to return and take care of that at no additional cost. I am a fully satisfied and enthusiastic customer and would recommend Red Rhino to any one wanting to professionally repair their pool, be it a leak or any other concern. They follow my own personal standard to do it right or not at all. Note: The city of St Petersburg Water Department is very responsive and good about adjusting your water bill, should a pool need to be drained and refilled, as did mine. Red Rhino will annotate the invoice with an estimate of the water required. After an initial call, a simple email with the attached invoice is all that is required to obtain the "leak adjustment", as they call it.

The initial evaluation was done professionally and quickly although it was quite expensive at $350. They then came 2-3 days later to do the actually repair - skimmer assembly need repair and the vacuum hose needed fixing of the seals. They drained the pool, did the repairs, filled in the concrete on the pool deck where they had to jackhammer to get to the skimmer and matched the pattern to the rest of the pool deck. They didn't clean up the debris in the pool, fill the pool, or pain the repaired pool deck but they stated this before hand. The repair cost $1790. this was with a 10% discount for booking the repair quickly. They did damage my mailbox on leaving the property but did agree to pay the full replacement cost. The quality was very good and the pool hasn't leaked so far (2 weeks).

One week later, the technician came to do the work... jack hammer and an an array of tools. Within a short period, he had dug up the problem... dirt neatly placed on a tarp.... and at the end... neatly all placed back in perfect shape with the new skimmer..... and a nice finish job of cement where the pool deck and been dug up. He left the pool, cleaner than when he arrived!!! Workmanship was excellent and the employees were FIRST CLASS... AMAZING!!

I was in the process of buying a house last year when the inspector noticed what he thought could be a problem with the spa leaking. I hired red rhino to come out a check the pool AND spa...... for any problems before I moved forward with the purchase. The guy came out and did the inspection. He found 3 small leaks in the pool and I was quoted $700 to repair the problem. After going back and forth with the owner of the house we moved forward with the purchase. We scheduled red rhino to come out and make the repairs. They drained the pool and repaired the leaks. Before he was done I noticed where they said one of the leaks was had not been touched. The repair guy looked at picture to show what needed to be repair. When he realized he had made a mistake his response was "that area was probably going to start leaking soon away". That is when I started to be concerned. After he finished the repairs he left the pool a complete mess. He just left everything he drilled out in the bottom of the pool and started filling it with water. When my pool company came over to get the pool setup he was amazed they left the pool in that condition. After a few weeks maybe a month the pool guy ask me if we were putting water in the pool because it was using a lot of chemicals. I called red rhino back and told them the problem. They sent the SAME guy to check out the pool AND spa. He said the repairs were fine BUT he found an issue in the spa....were the inspector first noticed the issue and where we told them look in the beginning... He said there was a small leak near the light which I could understand them missing the first. But there were also two separate two foot long cracks where the waterline tile are. He first told me it would cost $4500 to repair. Then came back a said $2500. I explained I hired them to inspect the pool before I bought the house and they knew this. This is not a little mistake and the need to make the repairs at their expense.. I even offered to pay for the materials. After going back and forth with someone there owner / manager I don't remember and being told I do not understand their business and it is not an exact science they offered to re-grout my tile leaving 2 two foot cracks in my spa. I can understand missing a little leak but not finding 2 two foot long cracks is not acceptable. I gave up fighting with these guys and hired another company to fix the problem. They did it the right way. They removed the tile repaired the cracks while I watched and refinished the spa for less than $1000. These guys at red rhino are horrible and I would NEVER recommend anyone ever use them............ Any response they make to this post other than... we are sorry... this is what happened... we will try harder in the future to do a better job... will be a lie.....

Finally a company that took their time to detect our plumbing leak! Ryan and his team were awesome. Very thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. This was the 4th company that we had to our home in 2+ years, and our issue is finally resolved. Ryan took the time to dive our pool, perform several water leak tests, and perform a pressure test. Knowing we had a leak but still unable to find it, he used the sonar to detect a plumbing leak under the pool deck. He tried to repair it without tearing up the deck, but it was too far under the deck so they had to jackhammer a small section (about 1 foot square) of the deck out. The plumbing leak was completely repaired and several lines were replumbed at different angles so the issue would not occur again. Concrete was poured to fill the hole. Now, all we have to do is paint. I would highly recommend the Jacksonville team at Red Rhino.

Keith, the technician arrived on time. He introduced himself and went over the procedures he would use to detect any leaks in my pool. Some of the procedures include dye testing as well as going into the pool. When he detected the leak, he showed me how it was detected and offered solutions as to repair. He prepared a quote and explained that if I used Red Rhino for repairs, $100.00 of the leak detection fee would be applied toward repairs. Keith was very professional, polite and an excellent representative to his company.
