Pool auto filler was running a lot and the water bill was way above normal. We called Red Rhino based on Angie's List and our weekly pool service provider recommendations. They scheduled the leak detection within a few days.The leak detection was $295 with the tech taking 2 to 3 hours pressure testing the system and getting in the pool to check the entire interior pool surface for leaks with dye. After finding the problem we got an estimate from the tech of $895 with $100 off if we scheduled the repair within 7 days. They scheduled the repair for about 10 days later. The tech closed off the leaking pump line until the repair could be done but explained we could still run the pump and filter as there are two lines to the pump/filter. The only problem was they were not experienced with older river rock pool decks like ours and suggested we may want to get someone else to repair the river rock deck surface after they did the leak repair and replaced the concrete underlayment of the deck. We asked if we bought the small amount of river rock and adhesive needed if they would try to do the river rock surface also. They agreed but said they couldn't guarantee the river rock part of the work. The repair went very well with the very diligent tech taking most of the day to cut through the layers of pool deck, digging out the sand under the deck to get to the pipes, analyzing the leaking pipe, going out to get an extra part, repairing the leak, retesting the system for other leaks and repairing the deck. We were especially pleased with the deck surface repair. If we were able to get the exact color river rock as was used many years ago on the original pool deck, you could hardly tell there was a repair. We expected a lot of dust and debris left behind at the end of the job but the tech did a great job of containing the debris and cleaning up. When he left that afternoon the pool and deck were clean and ready for use.

On Thursday of last week I called to make an appointment to get an estimate for a leak I have in my pool. I was told that they were very busy and that the first available appointment would be Tuesday (yesterday) May 6, from 2pm-5pm. I am losing water daily so I reluctantly made the appointment. That was yesterday. My wife waited all day from 12pm until 7pm yesterday but nothing. After waiting 5 days and refilling my pool daily, NO ONE SHOWED UP, NO ONE CALLED TO RESCHEDULE, NO ONE CALLED TO SAY THEY WERE RUNNING LATE, NOTHING. They wasted our time, our energy, our efforts to have someone there when they arrived, and they wasted 5 days of refilling the pool of water. Do not use them if you need someone reliable, punctual and/or professional. Just another typical south Florida contractor you have to beg to come out so you can give them money. UPDATE: Obviously my initial review got their attention. On Thursday, May 8 I received a call from Brian from Red Rhino who apologized and admitted that somehow my appointment fell through the cracks. Brian offered to come out that day to locate my leak and offered to discount the service $100. He came out that day located the leak at the pool light and applied an epoxy. Total charge was $195 and the problem was resolved.

It was fine. They were good. The price was not so good and I would say they overcharge.

Everything is as good as new. They seem to be in high demand as we did have to wait for over a week to get the actual leak fixed. However, they more than made up for it with their level of professionalism and how completely hassle-free they made the process. Would absolutely use them again or recommend them.

Our pool pump needs to be replaced and the pool has been leaking. Prior to replacing the pool pump, we wanted to have the pool leak repaired. Initially we asked Red Rhino for a referral to a company that could replace our pump after their service was completed. At first things did not go well with the pump replacement company, however, Red Rhino got involved and next thing I know the owner of the pool pump company is on the phone to take care of business. I was very impressed and everything worked out fine. Red Rhino came out to find and estimate our pool leak, we ended with only one pipe leak. Within a week they were out to make the repair. Brian and Joe found a better solution to repair the leak and the cost for the repairs dropped 60%. They answered all the questions I had. They did the job very quickly and cleaned up the work area to where we could not tell if they had been there or not. What a fantastic company!!!!!!! The repair began by dropping the water level of the pool approximately two feet.. All return valves were inspected and attended to in the manner needed to facilitate the repair of the leak which had been identified on a previous visit. This leak required two approaches to the repair process; one from above, which required the cutting of a hole into the concrete deck about 8-10 inches in from the interior pool side wall to access the pipes below the concrete deck that led to that water return valve, as well as a need to gain access through the return valve in that same interior pool wall within the pool. Once the repair was completed, there was a rechecking of the pressure in the pipes to assure everything was sealed and held tight. The holes were filled in and cemented over, the gunnite wall / marcite on the inside of the pool, surrounding the return valve was also repaired and sealed. All debris from the construction area was cleaned up and removed from the property. The entire repair job took approximately 5 hours. Other than the visible sign of the new cement patches, the yard adjacent to the actual work site and that work site itself, was left as clean as before the repair work began. We are very satisfied with both the initial leak detection and the following repair work done. We would use Red Rhino again, and will recommend this company to our friends and neighbors. Angie's list provided a $100.00 OFF coupon for Red Rhino leak detection and repair, and that was happily applied to our bill by Red Rhino. As part of Red Rhino's service I received a completed project statement, the day following the repair work being done via email, outlining the repair project which matched the original job quote outline, the completion of the job, as well as two photographs; the first one showing the break in the pipe before the repair was completed, and the second photograph showed the newly cemented over patch of the completed work in the pool deck. I felt this was another excellent demonstration of Red Rhino's professionalism.

They came 3 or 4 business days after my initial phone contact. The young man came out to the house and beagn a thorough search for the leak. He detected one cracked pipe to a pool outlet and a leak around a skimmer opening. He hustled, no complaint. I was a bit confused on the repair work sequence. I may be wrong about this but I was a bit confused....Rhi no can fix the leak but they give the pool company that referred me to Rhino the first shot at quoting the repair. Then I'm to call Rhino back to see what their price will be for repair. Then I can choose. With no one wanting to step on each other's toes I assumed their repair was no different in cost so I went with the pool compnay because they could now know more about my pool and when I use them in the future I assume there will be no issues with the repair work because they'll lose all future work that any pool requires over time. To repair the pool was an additional $725 for a total of $1125 to find and repair the leak.

I noticed I was losing a lot of water and found Red Rhino through Angie's List. I called, and they came out within a couple of days to locate the leak; it took a couple of hours but the pool tech found it in a return line below the pool deck. I scheduled a repair, and they were here within two days. It was more of a problem than he originally thought, but it didn't changed the quoted price. He finished by cleaning up the place thoroughly; I had planned to paint the deck anyway, so he patched the hole to match the deck as closely as possible. Everyone involved, from the person who answered the phone, to the guy who made the repair, was excellent. Ironically, the guy who cleans my pool called right as the repair was being completed; he asked how Red Rhino had done; I told him they did an excellent job. I put the repair tech on the phone, and Red Rhino got a new customer based on that conversation. Note to readers - if you need a repair, schedule it on the day the leak is detected; you get a discount on the repair. Also, don't forget to use Angie's coupon; another great discount. I hope my pool never leaks again but, if it does, I'll be calling Red Rhino.

Checked pool for leaks and repaired two areas. Gave an estimate for further work to be done, but at this time did not have the additional work done. Very professional and punctual.

Daniel spent two hours to detect five leaks in our pool. He did a temporary repair and it's working great! He also gave an estimate for a "long term solution." He was punctual, professional, friendly and knowledgable. I was really impressed. They really know what they are doing!

For all of those who are skeptical of these reviews please see mine, as I am usually skeptical myself. This company is the real deal! First, a technician came over to identify the leak. Within 60 minutes he found one under my skimmer. After completing a full analysis he cleaned up and set an appointment for 10 days later. (These guys are really good and it shows that they have a lot of jobs to do between the detection and the fix) On the 24th another specialist came out and started removing my pavers. He took them out like a puzzle and was sure not to alter their sequence. It was a nice touch. He had to go down about three feet as my pipes were really down there. He located the leak, cut out all the pipes and did a fantastic job replacing them. Not only did he fill in the hole and put the pavers back, but it looks much better now than it did before. The pool looks to be in good shape now and no leaks are noticeable. The price they quoted was already on the invoice and I could not be happier. Thanks for a fantastic experience guys

Very prompt. Contacted them and within several days they were at house determining why my water bill jumped from $35.00 per months to $330.00. Pool detector equipment found 3 leaks, leaks repaired, next months water bill back down to mid thirties. Life is great!!!

They were wonderful. They came out when they said they would. Everything that they quoted me on was accurate and precise. They were here on time to do the job and I would definitely recommend them. They have excellent customer service. They were efficient. The guy was very honest and knowledgeable. He is very trustworthy. They have good reviews in Angie's List.

He told me beforehand what the price would be and he honored that price when he came back out. They were very easy to get hold off. He left the water running in the pool as per our discussion beforehand because the pool had to be drain so that it can be fixed. They were in contact with me, they let me know if they were there and when they left. I got follow up calls afterwards. They were good.

Tech is a FISH. Stays beneath surface to hard to believe length of time. Very nice Man, water was very cold, no wet suit.

I called Red Rhino and scheduled my appointment. One thing that I noticed was that the office personnel were polite and courteous in their dealings with me. I found their pricing to be slightly higher than some of the estimates I received but I went with them because Red Rhino seemed like a legitimate operation. Daniel, the tech, showed up for the leak detection and was also as professional as the ladies I spoke to on the phone. He took about two hours to complete the job and told me that he did find a leak but it was not in the skimmer but rather near my main drain. He explained the problem thoroughly and gave me an estimate for the repairs but was not pushy or aggressive. He cleaned up after himself and left my back yard exactly how he found it. I can't overstate how pleased I am with this company.

Red Rhino was the third company that we called out to find our leak. They were very thorough. And, best of all, did find a couple of leaks (at last). The service tech used all kinds of equipment and got in the pool with a mask to inspect all surfaces. It wasn't as inexpensive as the first two leak detection company--but they didn't get the job done. Don't hesitate to hire this firm.

I had noticed an abnormal loss of water from my in ground pool last year. I contacted a different leak detection service at the time and they went into the pool but were not able to find a leak. This year the water loss was increasing and my pool dropped 14 inches in December. I contacted Red Rhino and they were able to come out to do the leak detection within a couple days. Steyn and his team mate spent over two hours doing a very thorough check of the pool equipment, solar heater and inside of the pool for leaks. They determined that there was a leak in the skimmer throat and in the main drain of the pool. Temporary fixes were applied to both and they recommended permanent fixes to both areas. They provided photo documentation and an estimate of $350 for the skimmer repair and $750 for the main drain repair with a $100 credit from an Angie's List coupon. The charge for the detection was $295 . On Jan.13 they returned to make the repairs. They drained my pool and completed of the repairs by noon. The main drain repair required checking the water tables, making a cut around the drain, chipping out around the main drain, filling the area with hydraulic cement, and repairing the pool floor where they cut around the drain. Since I have a Diamond Brite finish, I was concerned with how this repair would look. I was very happy with the drain repair and it is almost a perfect match. When the repairs were complete, the pool area was left neat and clean. I filled the pool the next day and there has not been any water loss at all. I could not be more pleased with the services Red Rhino provided. At first I thought the cost of the repairs might be a little high, but after seeing the quality of the work and the expertise of Steyn's team, I think it was well worth it. I highly recommend Red Rhino.

Red Rhino came out and located the leak in our spa pool within an hour. They quoted me the price for the repair, and scheduled the repair for the following Monday. They arrived on time, repaired the leak quickly and pressure tested the system to make sure no other leaks were present. Then everything was returned where they had dug (pavers, etc.) and cleaned up. They make sure the pool was in working order before they left. They were very professional and did the job they promised on time and on budget. I would definitely use them again for any pool related repair issues.

These guys are great. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. The diver came out one day, found the leaks and applied a temporary patch. The office, within the hour sent me a estimate detailing what they found (including pictures) and what additional work would be needed (very professional) along with a schedule (when and how long). The supervisor called later and explained things in more detail. We did not have all the work done as the pool seems to be holding but if we do we will certainly call these folks.....

Offered more extensive service but was not pushy or aggressive. He was very polite and found and fixed the leak in very short time.

A Leak Solution detected and subsequently repaired a leak in a spa skimmer attached to the pool. I was very happy with the services received and the work that was performed by their team members. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.
