Papa's Plumbing

I called Papa's earlier this am. I forgot to mention to Papa that I also belong to Angie's List. (I've been using Papa's since 1998 or earlier.) I had some time and location constraints Papa and Nancy both worked within the limitations. Chris called for me to meet him at my home at 10:30AM. He had originally installed the same faucet 3 years ago. The faucet had new batteries but water would not pass through the faucet. Chris took apart the faucet, cleaned out the debris, replaced washers and parts and had the faucet operational by 11:20AM. Chris (Papa's technician) always completes the task as quickly as possible.I'm relieved the faucet is operational and will continue to use Papa's as my and quot;go-toand quot; plumber. Nancy mentioned next time I call to state I am a member of Angie's List so I may receive a discount on work done in my home.

the plumber was awesome. Punctual, made good suggestion and provided the services very timely.

I have used them several times. They are a good company. They have also done minor repairs for me.

Originally well. Encountering some problems. Seems like owner Might be willing to remedy the problem. Will update when things are resolved or finalized.

Michael was extremely professional!!! He returned our call immediately, made the service call quickly, and was very nice. Most importantly, he seems to know his business and performed his services promptly. We will definitely use him again, and highly recommend him.

Initial phone contact was courteous and accurate, Chris arrived promptly and performed his job with enthusiasm and professionalism. After 2 other tries with inferior plumber's on Angies List I can honestly say we have found a company with very fair pricing, quality products, and outstanding staff. Job was performed with both neatness and care, Highly Recommend to everyone!

Papa's Plumbing recommended American Leak Detection to narrow down the area of the leak as to not have to break into walls blindly. After the leak area was determined, Papa's opened the wall and repaired the pipe. As I have used them previously, I knew what to expect. They did not disappiont. The work was performed quickly, neatly and at a reasonable price. Papa's is my go to plumber.

The work was excellent and they finished things in a timely manner. The gentleman was very curteous and knowledgable.

My wife (who is mostly writing this review) called Papa's plumbing to get an estimate on moving the kitchen sink from one wall of the kitchen to another. The estimate was important because we were trying to figure out if we could afford to move the sink. Papa was highly rated on Angie's list and her parents had used them before and were very happy. She spoke with the owner, who gave her the estimate over the phone based on the dimensions we provided. Mistake #1. We contracted for the work based on the estimate, which we unfortunately did not get in writing. Mistake #2. WHen Papa's came out to do the work, they were punctual, and the plumber (not the owner) was professional and polite. While the drain pipe was being installed, my wife repeatedly commented that she thought the drain pipe looked to be too high. The plumber repeatedly assured her it was fine. It is hard to tell without cabinets or countertop in place, so my wife assumed that the plumber was right. This was mistake # 3. The bill ended up being substantially more than the estimate, because Papa claimed that we misrepresented the distance the plumbing was to be moved. We did the demo ourselves, and drew the plans ourselves, and got the permit ourselves, and this was our third home we remodeled ourselves. We gave them the correct measurements. My wife thought maybe he didn't understand her, as he has a bit of an accent, but if that were the case, he should have told us it would be more after his employee arrived, before he started the work. My wife paid the plumber the requested amount for their work. This was mistake #4. After we finished the rest of the rough-in work (electrical and framing), we called our city for the inspection. The inspector put a level on the drain pipe and found that it was level when it was supposed to be sloped away from the sink. Also, the inspector commented that unless we had a special, very shallow sink, the drain pipr would be too high. So we failed in inspection. My wife called Papa's to share the news. They were very and appropriately upset and acted appalled that their work failed inspection. They came out to fix the work. Again, they were punctual and courteous. They corrected the drain pipe issue. When the plumber was finished, he gave my wife a bill!!!!!! MY wife balked at having to pay to correct work that should have been done right the first time. The plumber (the man who did the work thefirst time) remembered my wife telling him the drain was too high, and said he did not think it was right to charge us, but that the boss was making him collect for the work to lower the drain. My wife paid the bill, which she should not have done, because whe just wanted to be done with the matter. The work finally passed inspection in February 2012. The inspectors could not believe we were charged to correct they work. We would never use this company again. If you use them, do yourself a favor and get everything in writing. I think we ended up paying 2-3 times what was originally quoted. I am including below pictures from after first round of work and after the second round of work so you can see how much lower the drain pipe had to be moved. The supply line on the left is in the same place in each picture.

I used Papa's Plumbing in January but I had many conversations with them since. They were good. They were punctual and professional. I would use them again in the future.

It couldn't have been any better.

The worker was very quick and clean at fixing my problem. The only issue I hd was the time frame they gave me when I made appointment was 8-10 and I did have to call to find out where they were. But once they got there it went well.

Thank you very much to Papa's Plumbing for their excellent work and to Angie's List for helping me find them. The best investment that I ever did was to join Angie's List. I have had a bad experience with plumbers before, and did not want to have another bad situation. I found Papa's plumbing with all the great reviews and decided to call them. I was really impressed. They gave me an estimate on the phone. They were at the house as promised the next morning, and the work was finished within a short time. The final bill came out at the lower end of their estimate. I even received a discount because of Angie's list. Mike was very professional, polite, and excellent in his job. I would definitely use them again without hesitation.

Papa's Plumbing did an outstanding job, from the initial call to Chris arriving to do the work. The initial phone call to set up the appointment was courteous and professional. The technician (Chris) arrived on time. Chris was very courteous, prompt, took care with all aspects of the work, in a prompt and professional manner. The bill was very reasonable. Overall, an A+ job from start to finish. We were completely satisfied with all aspects of this job, even though it was a small one. We will definitely use Papa's for all our plumbing needs.

Work was completed on the tub/shower facuets and he even replaced an outdoor faucet that wouldn't shut off for no charge! Very professional and pleasant!

After a failed attempt by another plumber and looking at approx. a $1500 job,I decided to get another opinion. With much extra effort, they were able to clear the clog.

Quotation was quickly prepared, seviceman was on time and cost was exactly as quoted, no unexpected extras. Great job!!

The water heater was the second job I had done. Last week I had a hose bib replaced and lots of plumbing questions. My husband and I decided to replace the original water heater with a new large one. The job was done quickly and efficiently. As we purchased a foreclosure home with many plumbing issues, we will be using Papa's Plumbing again!

I have actual had 2 air conditioning systems installed by Ewing and Ewing. I own a duplex, I live on 1 side and my daughter lives on the other. I rarely rate any company in the excellent category however. from scheduling installation time, putting down floor covering to their professional workers, it was a very positive project.

He worked quickly and efficeintly. He also didn't run down the others peoples' work. Set up appointment, called to say when he would be coming and showed up when promised.Was clean and didn't make a mess.

Overall, this is a great company! The woman who answered the phone could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. I also had to call back to give them a different contact number, and they handled that request smoothly, and actually completed it - Meaning I gave them my wife's contact information rather than my own, and when they called, they actually called her as requested. They missed their appointment window by about a half an hour, but they were apologetic and very professional. The work done was performed very well, and For an extremely fair if not great price. We will certainly use them again and recommend them to anyone we know!

Called in the AM and they showed up in about 1.5hrs. Were able to repair the water heater rather than replacing it saving a bunch of money. They had the parts on hand and were done in 30mins. Water heater works again! The pricing was fair and the plumbers were professional. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others as well.
