Papa's Plumbing

Kitchen sink was stopped up due to the errors of two guys from Hammer Construction (DON'T EVER USE HAMMER CONSTRUCTION) who installed my sink wrong. We were told they were plumbers but they were not. Papa's Plumbing to the rescue! Daniel came out on a Saturday morning and corrected the errors as well as snaked the house. NO more issues!!! On time, reasonable, made sure everything was working properly and we are very happy with the results!! 5 stars plus!!

Didn't show up on the promised day. Didn't complete the job on their next appointment. Made me wait with boxes of items I had cleared from cabinets over a weekend. Expensive work and poor customer service. Toilet valve began to leak almost immediately. Boss treated me very unprofessionally when I asked for repair.

Other than the over the phone estimate not being adjusted & faucet sprayer being loose after only a few months, it was a satisfactory installation.

Chris & Carlos were here on time, worked quickly & as always were professional. I've had this company several times for different issues and the great service begins with the phone call with Mike (owner) right down to the actual service techs. Very trustworthy and I recommend them to everyone I hear of looking for a plumber.

Mike from Papa's arrived & easily replaced the valves & the hoses as well. He also adjusted some tinkering I had done inside the tank & made that work better. The final price was less than the estimate over the phone because the work went quickly. Three years ago, Papa's replaced our water heater at a very good price, I know, I looked around. Recently, Papa's saved our neighbor around $400 on a new water heater. If you need a plumber, get an estimate from Papa's. They're honest & very skilled professionals.

Have used this company several times to replace shut off valves and water heater. Have always had a good experience with them. Appointments and quotes have been easy to set up over the phone. They've always shown up on time and performed the jobs professionally. They do quality work at a fair price. Mike performed the work on this job. He was very friendly and answered all my questions.

I spoke to Mike on a Monday. I gave him a overview of the situation. He was able to give me a ball park figure of the cost. The next day the tech (Andrew) arrived and discovered the problem. I had him look at both toilets and he felt they both needed to be repaired. The parts controlling the flushing were bad. He provided an estimate and got right to work. In about 45 minutes he was done. He cleaned up and took away the old material. He made it a point to let me know there was a warranty on the parts. I highly recommend this company. They were professional thru out the entire process and offered a fair price for the job done. I won't hesitate to call them again.

It went very well! I called the day before and they were able to quote a price over the phone. The owner even followed up with me later on in the day to see if I had any additional questions. Called this morning because our water heater was completely broken. He was extremely accommodating in scheduling me the same day with no changes in the price throughout the project. He was very honest and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Also discussed his warranty and he offered great customer service throughout

Around noon I found my water heater leaking out of the top of the unit and called Papa's Plumbing because I have had great service in the past when I've called on them. They scheduled me as their next call the same day and had me up and running by dinner time with a new unit and did a nice job cleaning up the area before leaving. The icing on the cake was that Mike (tech) replaced a Moen filter on my shower unit, that I had been putting off, on the same service call thus saving me from having to schedule another service call and another service call charge. Obviously I will call on Papa's the next time I need a plumber.

Mike carefully explained the job prior to showing up. Once he arrived he attempted to do a cheaper fix including a quick run back to his office to see if he could find older stems for the faucet handles. When he didn't have any, he informed me that the previously discussed plan B - replacement of the faucets, shower head etc - would have to be our option. Per my independent discussions with a friend who owns a plumbing company in Michigan, this was the recommended solution rather trying a band aid fix. The work was done professionally and looks great. I would highly recommend Papa's.

My husband spoke to Mike over the phone and explained our issue. Mike was pretty much able to diagnose the problem over the phone. He sent out two men to replace our air conditioning condenser drainage pipe the next morning. Although we were given that "dreaded" 4 hour window for service the next day, Chris was at our house early the next morning about half an hour before our appointment window. Chris was happy to explain exactly what he would be doing. He was very personable and nice. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and without any problems. Chris and Andrew cleaned up after themselves and left my garage clean. This is the second time that I've used Papa's Plumbing for a problem in my house. I called them this time because they did such a good job the first time. I would most definitely use their services again if I have a need for a plumber.

Pros: Chris showed up right on time, very polite guy, took his shoes off at the door to go upstairs and then put them back on every time he had to go back to the truck. I thought that was a nice detail that a lot of guys don't do. Chris had 20 years experience doing plumbing and it showed.... he zeroed in on the problem very quickly and had it fixed well within the estimated time and the problem is now resolved. There were a few cons however. When I called and asked someone to give me an estimate for the work it was not explained to me that there was a $90 service charge to have someone just show up and look at the problem for an estimate. My philosophy is usually to get at least two estimates for any decent size repair. I probably would have had him continue the diagnosis anyway but it would have been nice to have been given the option because I did talk to other plumbing services that will come out and give free estimates. I accept that another (free estimate) plumber may not have been able to give an estimate without doing some work, but....a little upfront communication would at least make it my choice. Second. Chris told me they work hourly for 90/hour. He estimated the work would cost $300. He finished the job in an hour and a half but still charged the full amount of the estimate - $300. I offered to do the cleanup because I thought I was paying him $90 an hour to do cleanup and he was going to give me a bill for 135 plus minimal parts cost. But when he left in an hour and a half I was still charged the full $300 of the estimate. Not sure if this is how it usually works? I guess this is fair if it takes him 5 hours and I still only get charged $300 but not sure it works that way. The cost still seemed reasonable for the repair so I gave them a B overall for price. Lastly, my floors are made of about 6" of concrete. Chris had to chip out a huge block of concrete to get to the broken pipe. This was fine except had I not been below the floor on a ladder to catch the 5 lb chunk of concrete that was about to fall 10 feet onto my tile floor, which was only protected by a drop cloth, I'm not sure I wouldn't have had a tile repair job on top of a tub repair. I'm sure Papas would have taken responsibility but I would think theres some better precautions that could be taken to prevent having to deal with that headache.

He ended up trimming the flapper bar behind the handle. This solved the problem. Toilet flushes great now. I had 2 other companies come and snake the toilet and it still clogged. They left telling me to change out the toilet. I feel this company is professional and honest. Over all extremely satisfied. Best Plumbing company ever. Family run. Most economical. Most professional. Mike fixed a toilet that 2 other plumbers had replaced. Mike fixed it by trimming the handle on the inside of the tank. Thank you Mike for saving me more money. They always try to find the most economical way before starting any project. I have never been disappointed. They have serviced my 5200 sq foot office space for the past 4 years. They maintain my 4 bath home. I call for an emergency and they get to me the same day when they can. I call for a non emergency and they show up the next day anyway. They have had the same employees since I started using them. That shows me that they care for their employees and do not have constant turnaround. I really like this company. I don't usually write reviews for businesses, but I always read them when I am looking for a contractor. I can honestly say that Papa's is top shelf in the plumbing business. Basically they can fix anything. They think outside "The Box". They figure it out. Thanks again Papa's!

Mike from Papa's is very personable and efficient, and we always enjoy working with him. We found Papa's on Angie's List after having problems with another plumber. We have had to have him come out several times to repair shoddy work that plumber had done in the past (on a kitchen faucet install, and a toilet tank servicing). So of course we called Papa's to take care of this larger problem of a leaking pipe. He was prompt, thorough, and courteous as always, and helped us make the best of a difficult situation. Thank you Papa's, you've done it once again!

Came on time...worked steadily...knew what he was doing...a real expert....cordial...

The owner Micheal came and found a leak under kitchen sink to the disposal. He had one on his truck and replaced my disposal with 20 mins. He also guided me ( earlier on the phone) about right kitchen faucet based on my needs, i purchased that faucet & he replied it quickly. I had such approval of his work professionalism that he will be replacing my hot water heater in the future.

We love Mike. He took his shoes off before coming into my home because his previous job got his shoes muddy. We never asked, he just did out of respect. He fixed everything quickly, efficiently, and was punctual. He is extremely trustworthy and comes up with price effective solutions and alternatives to what can be costly problems. It is extremely difficult to find people who are their word. Mike is. I will always go to Papa's plumbing when any plumbing issue comes up...Ones my husband can't do (or ones he thinks he can.) Thank you Angie's List. Though I shouldn't be, I am always surprised and delighted when I can turn to you for referrals. I have never been disappointed.

It didn't go forward. Wasted all afternoon. If they had given me an appropriate quote in the morning, it could have been fixed already.

Called Papas Plumbing and spoke to the owner who was so incredibly nice! Setup an appointment for the next morning due to my work schedule. Mike showed up very promptly and even called me prior to the appointment to assure me he was on his way and on time! He was extremely professional and offered insight to the problem. I highly recommend Papas Plumbing!

Those are excellent. We have used them several times and they are excellent. My husband just looks at it and said would you give us a white one, thinking it was white but it was not white. They did charge us for another service call but they did not charge us. They took back the other one and brought a white and it was no big deal to them. My husband call and they came the next day.
