Everything was terrific - great plumbing company, would recommend 110%

I was just getting ready for an extended trip when my tenant had a problem with her shower. I called Papa's and spoke to a gentleman who sounded like the owner, but a nice guy nonetheless. He discussed my problem over the phone and said he really didn't think I needed him to come out. (I had recently had the septic pumped and the shower was only gurgling.) He assured me that if the tenant had any further problem while was out of town he would come right out. He was not only absolutely right, she had no additional trouble, but refreshingly honest. I can't attest to their work, but I CAN attest to their ethics. Well done.

They give a senior citizen discount but you MUST ASK FOR IT. Just looking elderly doesn't seem to count.

I called in the evening and to my surprise the phone was answered. I was prepared to spend the money and get a new water heater. After speaking with the owner he said that if its not leaking and no rust, that the model and make of the water heater was very good. He suggested that I flush it out, replace the thermostats and heating elements, there are 2 in this heater. He quoted me a price and was able to get service the next morning! Chris did the plumber came out and got right to work, no surprises and everything was nice and clean. He did a great job and since than I have recommended Papas Plumbing to several of my customers! I would definitely recommend this company

Great experience. I called the company late in the afternoon and they had someone out to my house first thing the next morning to accomodate my work schedule . The plumber, Chris, was right on time, friendly, professional. He did a great job and left everything nice and tidy. Price was right too. I'll definitely be using them for all the other jobs that need doing in my house.

Everything was wonderful. I called and made an appointment for the work. Mike, the plumber, called me and arrived exactly at the beginning of the window of time they had indicated. He gave me an estimate for the work before beginning, and I thought it was extremely fair. He did the work and completely cleaned up the areas where the work was done. Everything looks and works wonderfully well. I can't stop smiling, I am so pleased!!

They came the day I called even though I told them that it was not and emergency. He was on time, personable, and fast. He showed me where the under sink leak was and gave me options. I used the Angie's list cupon and he welcomed it.

I have to say that my overall experience wtih Papa's Plumbing was most pleasant and worry free. When I first called Papa's, I spoke to Ed, who was very informative and answered all my questions. He was an absolute pleasure to speak with! And Mike the technician was great. He completed the job perfectly. Not only was he very efficient but he was professional and very nice! Thank you both for making my plumbing experience a great one!

The folks from Papa's came out on-tim and got the job done very quickly. This was extremely important to me as I had to come home from work to meet up with them during the service. The individual was very friendly and talkative while performing the service. Additionally, while at my house, I asked additional questions about plumbing and they were responsive to my questions.

He may be a wonderful plumber, but I didn't like the idea of having to pay for a consultation fee even if it goes towards the final bill.

I needed minor plumbing work done and found this company on Angie's List. He showed up on time, did the job quickly and efficiently, cleaned up the area and checked two other showers in the house to make sure the same problem wasn't about to occur there. I wish I could give a grade higher than Excellent; this company is that good. If I ever need plumbing work in the future, these are definitely the people I will call.

Their price was reasonable and overall they did a good job.

This is a small family business who understands what customer service is all about. He removed tha water softener and reconnected the line from the street into our home. He then waved his magic wand over the toilet (which hasn't flushed properly for 15 years) and volia' it now works perfectly. I can't imagine using anyone else and we will call them when we remodel a half bath and the kitchen

Had a slow-running toilet. Was referred to one plumber, left a message. After two days, he still hadn't returned my call so I called Papa's after finding them/him on your list. Called on a Friday afternoon, call promptly answered and a service time was set up. Five minutes later, Papa's called again, said he had a service guy in my neighborhood and could he come over now? Sure! Fifteen minutes - and several snakings later - my problem was solved. Score one for Angie's and Papa's.

Papa's Plumbing was terrific. They were very neat, clean and punctual. I also liked that they did everything that they said they were going to do and stuck to their estimate.

All the work that was done inside the house went very well and was done as contracted. However, I live in Palm Springs and when the service provider arrived at my home he turned off the water at the Village's water line box. When he went to turn the water back on at the Village's line it broke, so the water could not be turned back on. He had to call the Village of Palm Springs for them to come out and repair the damage. I spoke with the Village and he advised NO ONE should turn the water off at their box and that I would be charged as the homeower for the repair. I called Papa's Plumbing and he did not want to hear anything about the repairs that needed to be done after his employee turned the water off using the Villages water line. A warning to any resident of Palm Springs - if you are having pluming work done call the Village first and they will send someone out to turn the water off and on - free of charge. If your plumber does it and and something is broken you, the homeowner will be charged. The charge from the Village of Palm Springs to repair the broken water line box was $64.00. So the total repair cost to replace the washing machine facuets and replace the hoses cost me, the homeowner, $164.00.

, itI had Papa's Plumbing come out to take a look at my sink. $110.00 is the going rate for the first hour of their service. There was a leak in the kitchen sink which got fixed and while the sink area was drying (to get it ready for caulking) I had the guy look at my bathroom shower that I thought was leaking as well. I was paying the $110.00 regardless he was there for one hour or 15 minutes so why not? After the caulking around the kitchen sink I was told not to use it for minimum 12 hours. Did that, it was good reason to eat out right?The next morning when I used the sink for the first time the caulking was coming undone so I called the company and asked they stop by when they can to re-do the caulking. We scheduled for 2/14. The next day I got a call saying they had a big job on 2/14 and if we could reschedule for 2/15 which was fine. On 2/14 I get a call from them to let me know they weren't going to come back out to fix the caulking as it not part of their normal service, I need to call someone who specializes in it since I have a granite countertop. He informs me I wasn't charged for the caulking anyways and they not only worked on my sink but took a look at my bathroom as well. He made it sound like he looked at my bathroom shower as a favor when in fact it wasn't. If they don't know how to caulk my sink because of the granite why would he do it in the first place? It is incorrectly done so now my sink looks a mess and I have to call another company to take care of this issue. I think what he should've done is come back out and fix the caulking since his SIL did it and explained to me that's not the normal protocol and next time they wouldn't do it instead of calling me to cancel the next days appointment. There are plenty of plumbers in this city I would call and I would NOT use this company again. Follow up to service provider's response: They guy who came out to fix the sink explained to me that the $110 was for one hour worth of work. This is the reason I had him look at my shower. He basically told me that I would be charged $110 regardless of if he looked at the shower or not, so of course I asked him to look at it. The company states that “no extra cost” was applied toward the shower whereas the service fee of $110 covered this inspection. As for the caulking, it was explained by the tech that the leak in my sink was due to the caulk being loose and he offered to caulk the sink for me. If this is not part of their service but was offered “in more or less a favor and the customer was not charged for it” they should have explained to me that is not part of their service, especially since they did not do it correctly. When I called them to tell them that the caulk was coming apart, they informed me that is was done gratis and they could not fix it and that I would need to call a “caulking specialist.” They should not have done the caulking since they were not a “caulking specialist” in the first place.

Very well. Not much to tell, parts were replaced, toilet was repaired. It works well now and comes with a one year warrenty. Serviceman was very nice, polite, professional and knowledgeable.

I had a really clogged kitchen sink. I called Papa's at 8:00am and received a return call about 15 minutes later. The gentlemen said they would be at my home between 10:00 and noon. The service man arrived a little after 10:00. Did a great job at a fair price really, really impressed!!! This happened two days before Thanksgiving and I was having everyone over for dinner. I found their number on Angies list and read the reviews. Returned my call promptly, did the job quickly, the service person was friendly and did a neat job. I would use them again.

I called to have some plumbing repairs and told them what I needed done. We set up an appointment and the plumber arrived promptly and had all the supplies needed to do the job. He was very thorough, fast, and neat and professional. I would highly recommend them.

Everything was fine and I was pleased with the work. Since my knowledge of plumbing is shall I say "zero to none" I felt comfortable to ask questions about what was being done and also what I should do to try to limit problems in the future.

They were excellent and their price was fantastic. They are very nice. I am very satisfied with their work. They were out here even quicker than they said they would be and they called ahead. They do very good quality work. I would use them again in the future.
