This was a tenant property and the technician called to verify work being performed. Total price was $260 for system diagnostic and thermostat replacement. When I asked why the price was so high, he advised the diagnostic was $79 and the balance was for thermostat replacement. I then asked what kind of thermostat was installed, he advised that it was a simple $20-25 thermostat. That would be about $160 to replace a thermostat. Really?? Won't be using this company again either. I'm getting really tired of hearing the benefits of flat rate pricing from these vendors. Most of this prices work out to $250-500/hr when you calculate the cost and the time required to complete the work. Had the same issue with Ace Electrical a few years back and won't use them again either, no matter how often I hear them in the radio.

The technician did not provide me all the details right away. I still don't exactly what I was charged $29.00 extra for...

Returns were done differently from plan due to issues in the attic. The electrical was done initially by the mechanical crew, which resulted in failing inspection. They sent out the electrician who was very nice and fixed all the issues i.e. passed reinspection on 9/23/14. So the whole job took almost 2 months to get completely done right. In the end, all is well; however, it was disappointing that things were not done right the first time.

Packaged service, they performed all of the maintenance they should have.

The technician was efficient and explained everything and answered questions thoroughly. He also drove about 25 miles to pick up the replacement part so that our units would be in working order within 2 hours of his initial check up of the problem. We had questions related to the thermostat and he took care of those without further ado unlike a previous provider who refused to even listen to our questions about the thermostat! I would definitely use ServiceOne again and would highly recommend them to other customers.

they missed the appointed time scheduled not just once but twice. then the technician tried to sell me a product that I found out later I didn't need.

Arrived on time - I did not hear him or see that he had called when he arrived and the poor guy had to wait 15 min for me. He was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable, explained recommended repairs making it easy to understand. Worked diligently in 100 degree weather outside and 100+ in the attic. I feel confident the 14 year old a/c units wil last me a while longer. Only one issue: tech did leave the drain line out of the pump tank and it was draining all over the basement floor by the time we discovered it a day later. Not really a problem for us since our Florida basement is often wet when it rains but this type of mistake would have caused a problem if it wasn't in an unfinished basement.

Initial contact and sales process was excellent, but when it came time to deliver on their promises the experience was disappointing. Installers appeared professional and knowledgable, but I had my first service call on the very same day as installation. The system just didn't cool. Evidently the installers failed to verify that the refrigerant levels were set properly or that the air handler was programmed properly for the condenser. Frustrating, to say the least. They did finally show up at about 10:30 at night and got the system cooling. And they promised a visit the next day to recheck the installation and ensure all was functioning, which they did do. The thermostat I ordered didn't function, so they had to install a temp when they installed the AC on Friday. I was promised a call Monday to set up a time to install the proper one. By Wednesday I still hadn't heard and finally had to call them. The correct thermostat was finally installed 6 days after the AC. Received a call from a senior manager on Wednesday. He was sympathetic about how things had gone, but didn't exactly out my mind at ease. He also committed to sending me confirmation that my Duke energy rebate was processed and a copy of the service agreement negotiated into the purchase contract. As of today, a full month after installation, I have yet to receive either of those items. The lack of follow through is unacceptable. Anyone can make promises, it's the delivery that makes a company. A side note- sent a couple follow up emails voicing my frustrations to the guy who sold me the unit. Never heard a word from him once my check was in the bank. You would think a 2 minute call to apologize for my inconvenience would have been appropriate. Bottom line, my experience was far from advertised. Not sure how their Angie's list rating is so high.

They came the next day, which is wonderful and they were there ahead of schedule. The finished the job very quickly and everyone was happy. They are always excellent. Although, I just had a tune up in April, so I was surprised that this happened. They said that this happens when there are thunderstorms.

We came back from a vacation on Saturday evening and found our air conditioning had stopped working and the indoor temperature of the house was 93°. We found out that the 21-year-old system needed to be replaced. ServiceOne was the only provider that could replace the inside air handler and outside compressor on Monday. Other vendors gave us estimates of Wednesday or later, when the heat was dangerously oppressive. The two technicians came out as promised in Monday and by dinnertime our house began to cool off. Jose and Moses worked tirelessly, even in the extreme heat, and kept the garage and work areas clean while they did so. They took a very short lunch break and went back to work. I can't say enough good things about this company and their wonderful employees. They followed up two days later to ensure that the system was running properly and that we were 100% satisfied.

Fast turnaround on a big job. Removed old oil furnace and compressor. Replaced with new heat pump system. Added cold air return line to improve air flow to master bedroom. All work done quickly and professionally.

That turned out horrible. I bought the Big Deal and they kept telling me that things were wrong. They replaced a part and that was $400. The part that they put in was defective, it flooded our whole house and I now have to repair the ceiling and all of the wood on the floor surrounding; They did not take responsibility for that. This service was also done on a rental property.

They came on time, performed the service well, and the guy was very professional. They were also easy to get in touch with, and I had no problems with them.

As a long time Service One customer, I did not hesitate to call them when my ac went down on a Friday evening. They told me they could send a tech out, but there would be a $119 service call fee. The tech was friendly and professional. He changed my capacitor and got my unit up and running in 20 minutes. I was surprised, however, that he charged me $198 for the capacitor on top of the service call. I did not have much choice but to pay since we could not go without ac especially since we have two young children in the house. I know the capacitor only costs between $20 and $25 so I called their office the following Monday to verify there was not a mistake. They said it was the right price. I even asked to speak to the owner, but he did not take my call or return my call. I could not fathom an 800% margin plus a service fee. I called a competitor after the fact, and they quoted me a price of $96 for the same capacitor. As a long-standing customer, I assumed I would receive a competitive price. Unfortunately, I could not even get an explanation from the owner - or even a return call. I was very disappointed, and if cost is a concern, I would not recommend their services. I have to work more than a day to net $317; I can't help but think $317 for a routine capacitor change on a Friday evening is too much. So much for being a "valued customer".

They did a very nice job. They came and were very accommodating. They came on time and called before they came. They told us what they were going to do. We liked them so much, we actually got a service contract with them now. The air conditioning works fine now. They told me it's a good unit and doesn't really need any work, except maybe to get it cleaned next year. He was very polite and told me what he was doing.

The physical install presented a few challenges with tree-roots around outside unit that required the installers to really work at getting the outside unit and copper lines in place. The sales team was knowledgeable and the quoted prices competitive. The installation crew was friendly and talented. However, toward the end of the job, the thermostat was defective, and so the final 'setup' of the A/C unit (adjusting configuration settings and the like) were *not* performed, since they needed to return later with a thermostat replacement. Several days later, with a new thermostat installed, that final setup was neglected. To their credit, however, ServiceOne apparently sends an inspector who *did* the appropriate final system-setup and who verifies that the customers are satisfied with the whole job. He corrected the situation and was very candid about the oversight. In all, it was ultimately a good experience and they did a quality job with the installation, including answering any questions we had. But it was this quality assurance step which made the difference for me and indicated that they really *do* care about customer satisfaction. So, the bottom line is.. while not flawless, they are good.

My appointment window was 3:00-5:00. Repair man (Joey) called me at exactly 3:00 to say he was at my home. Which I was on my way from work. I figured I had a good 30 minutes yet before I got a call saying he was on his way. So I was shocked. I told him I'd be there in 20 minutes. AND I was, from downtown Orlando to Altamonte no less. All was in great working condition-considering my unit is only 2 years old. There was a clog in the drainage line though, and he did make another adjustment which has been FABULOUS since then. Thanks Joey !

They had a better deal for a whole year of service for only $40 bucks more.

I called ServiceOne AC and Plumbing this morning to make and appointment for an annual check-up. (We usually do this in the spring before the summer rush but time got away from us.) The kind lady that answered the phone said someone could be here between noon and 2pm today. Joey, the technician showed up at 12:15; talk about promptness. He covered his shoes with disposable booties when entering the house, a nice touch. He checked our system, giving us a checklist of all the items performed. Friendly, courteous, efficient and professional are words that come to mind. We will definitely use ServiceOne again.

Very knowlegable staff and tech (Jorge). Very thorough and honest evaluation of our HVAC system. Located a failing capacitor and most importantly he showed to me the reading on the multimeter confirming the failing capacitor. He replaced it and did not try to sell anything else as many HVAC companies do (possibly because he knew that I was pretty mechanically inclined). It is true that the part was a cheap item ($10) and you are paying for his diagnostic skill and expertise ($105) along with the $50 Tune-up deal. This is true with many high knowledge services so I cannot downrate them for it.

Great service. They covered my hardwood floors and kept everything nice and clean when they left. They were very courteous and polite and very professional. I would definitely use Service One in the future without hesitation.
