The installation and service was great. They came by and gave me an estimate and installed everything that same week. There were no problems at all and for the first time since living in this house we can actually use our entertainment system as it was intended.

Two years ago, when I purchased my home, I had a fairly sophisticated audio-visual system installed. It encompassed the family and Florida rooms, as well as the deck and pool area. The vendor I chose did an excellent job on installing the system. It involved a lot of new equipment, wire and drilling. The system architecture was fine; the systems to control it were awful. The original provider could not make it work to my satisfaction. I found Gordon Deans, Owner of Gordon?s Light and Sound, on Angie?s List. He knew how to fix the problem and I hired him. He was not inexpensive. But, then again, this stuff is expensive. He was courteous, neat, called to confirm appointments and was always on time. The problem fix was more involved than originally envisioned. However, the price quoted was the price and there were no surprises. The system now works great and I am confident that if I need ?after the sale? care that Gordon will provide it. I am pleased to recommend him.

Gordon came by and we went over the whole house and talked about all the possibilities before selecting the first phase of the project. He worked here over the course of two days quietly and diligently. It was really, really well done. Smart guy, willing to try different ideas. The final work and cable management is very clean and organized.

Everything went GREAT! We've had a fair amount of work done on our home and when my husband arrives home from work, his question after "How'd it go" is normally "What clean up, repair, patch work did they leave for me?" He was pleasantly surprised at my "Not a thing, it's perfect!" response. Gordon was prompt, asked questions to make sure what he was doing matched what I wanted, cleaned up the work site and left it all in perfect order. We have already started talking with him about our next project and would recommend him to anyone. If we could give him an A+ for a grade we would - know you'll be happy with his services!

I have used Gordon now on two occasions, once to do a complete rewrite on a rental property and once to reconfigure my entire home theater system. He is punctual, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I recommend his services.

I had at 6 different components and 2 zones of audio. Gordon did all the work as we discussed and came back twice to fine tune and reconfigure one of the components after we had more information from the manufactorer. He did a lot a research on the equipment so was prepared when he came to do the install. My first impression was that the price was high but after seeing all the work that needed to be done and the extra time he spend making sure I was completely satisfied with the service I feel it was well worth the cost.

We could not be happier with the new entertainment system and the service provided by Gordon. Gordon is a very likeable person and definatley a subject matter expert when it comes to entertainment systems. He was always prompt and professional and displayed a true passion for his work. He spent hours meticulously ensuring that everything was perfect with our system; from sight to sound to integration and overall appearance. additionally, when we first met Gordon listened to what we wanted and then used his expert knowledge to guide us in making final decisions. Please note, these were not necessarily decisions that cost us more, but decisions that made our system work and look better. Finally, Gordon has continued to assist us after the service in understanding all of the capabilities our new system. There is just too much to learn in one sitting and Gordon has left the lines of communication open for us to reach out for continued assistance.

Gordon was prompt to not only return initial phone call, but was on time for estimate and installation. Even called to say he was running a few minutes late the day of work... Great guy - definatley will use him again for any future jobs!

Gordon was very professional and arrived exactly on time. He assessed the situation and gave us suggestions on how to proceed. He was very neat and clean. The job was a little more complicated than anticipated but he knew exactly what to do. The TV looks wonderful. He also moved another TV to a different room and hooked it up as well as the DVD (which we never got to work previously) and the Wii. The quality of the work was wonderful and he left things better than he found them. I would highly recommend him for any job big or small.

It's been absolutely great. He took an extensive ammount of his own time to draw up plans. He was very thorough. Before he even gave me any type of estimate. He was extremely flexible. He was always on time. He had some great ideas and suggestions for our project too. He wasn't pushy at all. He knew we were working with a budget and recommended things that would work better for us. He worked very long days. I would highly recommend him and I'd definitely use him again.

Although the system was not perfect from the start, Gordon was extremely attentive and quite interested in satisfying all of me issues. This was the case even long after the installation. During the initial contact, Gordon took a great deal of time making sure we agreed on a system. He sat down and didn't seem in a hurry at all. He was very interested my goals and needs. He took the time to write up a detailed contract including images of the various products installed. Bottom line is "he did what he said". He works clean and presents a professional image. Do I wish it was cheaper, YUP. But, you get what you pay for......

He was able to fix the problem even though I had no manuals that he needed to shorten the work for him. He did a good job, and we would use him again. He was here for two hours.

From the beginning, this was a very positive experience. Gordon's knowledge and expertise were of great value to me as we planned my system to meet my home audio objectives. His guidance on the best solutions and components was invaluable. He provided a written proposal that was comprehensive and very clear. I knew exactly what I was getting for my money. And I very much appreciated that he worked with me to keep the final system within my budget parameters. Once we were a Go on the project, the installation was a breeze. The precision he displayed in placing the speakers and components, and the care he took in protecting my home are indicative of the overall high quality of Gordon's work. I received the quality project I expected on time and on budget a statement I cannot make about much of the other work I have had done on my home. I would recommend his work to my friends and family. I am very happy with my new home audio system and the work that Gordons Light and Sound LLC performed.
