They far exceeded my expectations. They pressure-washed not only the surfaces to be painted, but also the driveway, sidewalks, mailbox stand, and fieldstone on the front of the house. Everything they did was done with great care, as if our house were their own homes. We had had some stucco repairs done and also some new wood installed in the house before they came. They primed this to make sure the end product looked good, as good as if our house were their house . My wife an.d I were very impressed with Frank and his crew. They were knowledgeable, careful, and conscientious. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good job done by capable people who care.

Excellent! We bought the house in April and planned on moving into the home in June/July. We gave Frank a key so he could come and go and paint according to weather conditions outside. The house came with a beautiful built-in aquarium and fish, Frank fed them regularly and made sure they were alive and well for us when we moved in. I really cannot say enough, Frank went above and beyond painting our house. He also "threw in" pressure washing our driveway. We totally feel like we got what we paid for! We've done some minor renovations to the house since last June(and he is here today), Frank is the 1st painter I call- I wouldn't even consider getting other estimates at this point. He is fair and very trustworthy! The cost for today's work was $275.00. (Obviously the $18000.00 was the cost of painting our home last year- I thought I had written a review back then, but then couldn't find it)

We have a 1920's home which can be a challenge to paint. We plan to stay in the house for a long time, so we wanted a really well- done job with high quality workmanship. We obtained estimates for painting from 3-4 different companies. Frank showed up on time for the estimate and slowly walked around the house. His eagle eyes found several areas of wood rot and paint issues. We received the estimate 1-2 days later. I was actually surprised and concerned, because his estimate was the lowest of the bunch. I was debating which painter to pick (since I usually don't pick the cheapest quote), but I was very impressed that he noticed such small problems--He struck me as very straight-forward, detail oriented, and precise. He started bright and early on the scheduled date. His 2 coworkers pressure washed the house and the driveways and sidewalks. (We weren't expecting or requesting the driveway and sidewalk pressure washing, but they look great now.) The next day, his crew scraped and sealed all the cracks, fixed wood rot with replacement wood or epoxy. He also repaired some damaged stucco on the chimneys. His team primed and painted the entire house, including the wood windows and the faded gutters along the back of the house. They cleaned up the entire site and finished the entire project within 1 week. We were truly amazed at the transformation. We had one day of rain during his time with us. His crew did no work on that day which was a relief--we didn't want a great paint job to be ruined by rushed or overzealous painters painting in the rain. As an example of how detail oriented he is, on the final day of painting before finishing up, he climbed up onto the second story roof to paint a piece of small detail work on the chimney (which should be painted an accent color but had been missed by his crew). This trim piece isn't even visible from ground level, and we weren't aware it existed until we saw him painting it! We were even more amazed that his final bill remained the same low cost he quoted. We had budgeted additional funds for all the "extra" work that might be needed, but those were included in his quote. We are so impressed with his work. We wish we had another house for him to paint!

Everything went well: Efficient, professional, and a job very well done. We will use the company when we have the interior of our house painted.

Frank has an excellent work ethic. He kept his scheduled appointment times and did everything he said he would do. He is personable, honest, easy to work with, and a true professional. I am extremely pleased with my porch ceiling and plan to have him return to paint my house as well as do some interior painting.

The job went just fine. There were challenges getting to certain areas of the house due to trees and height. A high reach lift had to be used. The job took over two weeks. They did an excellent job, were pleasant to work with, cleaned up every day and the place looked great when they were done.

The exterior of the house was in dire need of repair. The house was a foreclosure so that should tell you the shape it was in. The soffits needed major work requiring extensive repair and/or replacement in several areas and the paint was extremely "chalky" and needed to be power-washed and primed. The house was the eyesore of the neighborhood. "Frank the Painter" did a fantastic job. I can now say my house has "curb appeal". I love the way it looks. My neighbors have all commented on how beautiful the house now looks. I will not hesitate to have my house painted in the future by "Frank the Painter'.

I was considerably impressed with Frank's service. I received four quotes on my job and his was the best value. He was upfront, communicated regularly and most importantly, paid extraordinary attention to detail. The house looks fantastic. There was not a drop of paint anywhere. The driveway, walkways and plants were all protected. Furthermore, unlike other contractors that have worked on my house, there was not a piece of trash left anywhere. His entire team cleaned up after themselves. Frank is one of the most popular painters on Angie's List. As such, it did take about 3 months for him to come to my house. He shared this up front so expectations were managed. Then, during this 3-month waiting period, he contacted me personally to let me know I wasn't forgotten about. This is not a common customer service practice today, demonstrating his exceptional rating. He was true to his original timeline and once he started the work, the house was painted rapid fast! I was surprised at how fast his team works. Throughout the time, he continued to share finer details on how he wants this job to be quality. And he delivered. I have no regrets and would easily hire him again in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, he worked himself out of future work at my house - outwardly admitting that he'd rather do such a great job on my house, he won't need to come back in 5-7 years to repaint. Statements like this are a true testament to Frank's focus on doing a superior job. Hire him. Don't look any further.

Frank and his crew are fantastic, professional and without equal. Frank's attention to detail on our 5,000 square foot multi-level home completely revitalized our home. Frank and his team provided perfect prep and finish work including: Quality pressure wash w/trenching board and baton wood repair soffit replacement where needed extensive caulking Unparalleled quality paint work Hand sanded and stained lanai wood work The job site was cleaned at the end of every day and extreme care was taken with our newly landscaped yard. We are using Frank in January after our kitchen remodel to completely refinish our interior - this is more than just a paint job, with an extensive color change from old stained trim and wainscoting work to high gloss white trim throughout. We could not be happier to have found Frank.

First of all, because Frank and his crew are so good you must be patient. Frank came to my home at the end of May for the estimate. He told me he was very busy and could do the job the first or second week of July. I was like holy cow he must be good if he's that backed up.I was in no hurry so I told him that would be fine. Because of all the rain in July, Frank started the job in August. Lets just say well worth the wait. Frank and his crew were super nice, on time and did a heck of a job. Frank even brought treats for both of my dogs everyday.I would definitely use Frank again. Items done: Pressure washed house, driveway and sidewalk to front door. Patched cracks in stucco and caulked around windows where needed. Primed stucco and painted house, soffit and pool deck. If you need paint work done, Frank's your man. Don

It was excellent. The price was a little bit high; again I get what I pay for. The house is a big house. He is good man and he came when he said he was going to come. He was a pleasant and friendly man. They did a good job and it is hard to find someone who paints with a paint brush and does not spray all over everything and leave a sloppy mess. He went to trade school in Germany. He returned my call the same day I called. He said he was going to be here on a certain day and he kept his word. He was reliable and a person of integrity. It can take 2 to 3 months to get him out. He is coming back next week to do some work, if he is on schedule. I will continue to use him.

I recently joined Angie?s List to find a painter for our 24 year old two-story colonial house and found Frank the Painter whose A+ rating and fine recommendations caught my eye. When he came to look at the house he asked us to come with him as he examined the house and explained what he would do. The itemized estimate that we received a few days later was very reasonable and we accepted. Frank Hvorat and his industrious, talented, and personable crew did an amazing job, beginning with pressure-washing the house, driveway, porch and patio floors. The walkway around the pool was not in the contract so we negotiated a fair price to have that done also. Each crew member worked diligently every day and overlooked nothing! Every seam between the Hardee boards on the house and every window received siliconized caulking which sealed up both air leaks and entry points for insects and water. Before the main job began the shutters were removed, washed, and painted. All the windows were covered with plastic sheets cut to fit and taped to the glass. Several repair jobs which were included in the contract were skillfully done. Frank applied a 2x2 ft. swatch of my chosen colors to make sure it was what I wanted before the painting began. The trim around the windows was lighter than the paint chip I had used when selecting colors, so he made two trips back to the paint store and had it adjusted until it met with my approval. The other colors were fine. Every item agreed to in the contract was completed in a completely professional manner. At the last minute we asked if they could paint our office. Measurements were taken and the work to be done was clearly stated. Again, we agreed to a very fair estimate and the work was done on the last day that they were here. The house looks beautiful now ? every inch of it - from the front door to the top of the chimney! My husband said it best, ?They cared. They treated our house like it was their own home.? When asked to recommend a painter, we will recommend Frank Hvorat every time for his fairness, skill, and ability to communicate with both his crew and client.

Frank was a professional and friendly guy. He had 2 helpers with him: a woman and a young guy. While Frank and the woman did a great job, I had to repeatedly ask the young man to apply a second coat; after Frank directed him to do it, he finally complied. But...it took him all day to do just one small room. After they left, I noticed he had missed a wall area under a shelf, plus didn't apply a second coat to the shelf, which was also asked of him. I informed Frank of the issue and for several weeks, he would call me and say he would come back and take care of it. He then stopped calling me and never did come back to fix the problem. Truthfully, I was surprised that he didn't return as I thought we had a good relationship, except for my complaints about his male helper. Possibly, he was a relative and he didn't like my negative remarks about him but I was just being honest. When you pay that much money, you expect an excellent job or to at least 'make right what was wrong.'

You know how you watch home improvement shows and you see awesome contractors that care about every detail and make sure the job is done right? Then you wonder how come you never seem to find those guys to do work for you. Frank and his crew are those guys! You may have to wait 3-4 months to get on his schedule, but my advice is, DO IT! Frank, Jim and his other employees treat your house like it's their house. The paint job is fantastic, there were no surprises. Frank always communicated with me throughout the job. I have hired painters, roofers, flooring, bathroom and kitchen remodelers none have compared to the quality job, professionalism and communication Frank provides. Remember, wait if you have to, you won't be sorry.

We got a quote and told him we would like to proceed. We accepted his estimate. He'll be back at the end of July, so it will be awhile before he gets back to us. I think a lot of people are using his services based from the reviews. His price was reasonable, very thorough and he seemed to be particular about playing it right that he wanted it done right. My husband was concern about doing shortcuts and things and he even explained doing things in a right way and we felt comfortable he was doing it the best way and not just quickest way.

Price was good, big talker, never used a drop cloth nor tape. Messy. Paint drops on walls, floors light fixtures,etc. W

Best experience. Frank and his partners did a great job. They were on time. They always cleaned up the work site. They took care of all issues. Lookded after the details, for example, Frank even took the time to come back after the work was done to put some extra dirt around the house where they had trenched. Would definitely recommend.

This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. From start to finish this was a great experience. I initially contcted 3 separate contractors to get estimates, they were all around the same price for the work I wanted done. I decided to use Frank the painter because of the reviews I read on Angie's list and just speaking to Frank. Frank answered all my questions and I also felt that he was not going to nickel and dime me for any issues he may have found. I was very fortunate that I secured his services as quickly as I did because he is booked until mid June 2013. On day 1 Frank was at my home on time and spent the majority of the day trenching around my home power washing my entire house, driveway and sidewalk, per Frank, "why have a fresh painted home if the driveway and sidewalk are dirty". On day 2, Frank and his crew were there at 8am sharp, they performed all the prep work first, then began applying the conditioner to the house, after that dried they began patching all the cracks then after everything was dry, the painting began. The next day and a half was painting. Throughout the entire time, the communication was there from Frank and his entire crew making sure that we liked what we saw and that all colors were in the right places. Since my front door was being painted, I needed to get new door hardware, Frank was good enough to put it on for me as a courtesy, he also sealed some open seams he saw on my gutters at no charge. All in all, we are very happy with the results. Frank and his crew were excellent, friendly and extremely professional. I actually have Frank coming back to paint my master bathroom. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone one needing any paint work done and I would hire him again in a second, even if he was more expensive. In addition, when Frank arrived at my house on day 2, all the paint was there for me to see, it was all sealed as well and Frank also provided me with the Sherman Williams location and phone number so I could verify if the paint was purchased there.

The bad news about Frank and his crew is they are HIGHLY sought after, so it took some time to get them out to do the job. But man was it worth the wait! The house looks fantastic! Everything quoted was done as promised and turned out as good or better than I imagined. Frank and his crew are the nicest, most professional people I've worked with on a home project to date. I will certainly be recommending them to my friends and family! Use them...they're worth the wait!

Professional, responsible, personable, attention to detail, SUPERB job. Went above and beyond in many cases and could not possibly be happier. Hope to hire Frank and his crew to do the inside of our home soon!

I found Frank on Angie's list prior to our move from Canada to the Lake Mary area. He was able to give me a very close estimate of the work that needed to be done by using pictures and floorplans since I was not able to get into the house until closing. Frank booked us into his calendar and he was ready to get started before the ink was dry on our closing documents! We hired Frank to paint and change out our interior doors. In the end it turned out that he was proficient in many areas. We had many "unexpected" problems that had not been revealed to us during our home inspection. Frank was able to repair what he could at terrific rates and refer us to outside trades if he wasn't an expert in the areas that we needed. When we had other contractors in they always seconded what Frank had told us. Frank is a Jack of all Trades! He became an instant part of our family. Our kids really enjoyed having him around. His team was at our house on time every day until the job was finished! They were very trustworthy and paid attention to detail! He was always on site himself and had the same men helping him. I liked that we didn't have a parade of different people coming in and out of our home. We were extremely happy with the transformation that Frank gave our home. I hope that we will have Frank as our handyman and friend for years to come! We are thinking of moving him onto our property so he is never far away, lol!

Frank was professional and prompt. He exceeded all expectations. The prep out the house was outstanding. He did some very complex repairs. He pressure washed not only the house but the front walk, driveway and sidewalk. The materials used were top of the line and the job was perfection. He is definitely a perfectionist. I highly recommend him.

Called Frank for estimate. His estimate was significantly lower than 2 others that I received. Because this was an indoor job and the weather called for rain the next few days, Frank was available the very next day. He started with with a crew of 2 others and set expectations initially that this would be done by the end of the week. His crew finished on Thursday afternoon. Everything done as expected. Very professional manner, pleasant demeanor. Met all aspects of the project on time and on budget. He even did a little additional work on a closet ceiling that had some old water damage, no extra charge. I will not hesitate to call Frank in the future.
