Description of Work: Tropical pool heating resurfaced a swimming pool with Florida Gen. The product It's very uneven in color. It looks like a very old pool that the colors go from white to brown. The company said they would come acid wash the finish but would not use the tanks that are needed for well water. The owner refused to follow the same procedure that he insisted upon when filling the pool with well water. Since $300 additional was coming out of his pocket versus mine, he refused to do the job. My pool company refused to perform service on the pool if it was not filled properly using additional filters. As a consumer I would never recommend tropical pool heating for the work that they performed nor laying the tiles around the pool. They left much additional cement on the walkway and never cleaned up the cement. I will provide pictures if requested .

+ -1 moreIt took about 1 1/2 days to empty the pool and about two days to prepare and put the new surface on. The surface is fairly smooth, just rough enough to give you a good foothold.Tthe corners and round surfaces were made slightly thicker than normal at my request. Matching tiles were put in place along the step edges to make the pool look nicer and also wear better because the edges tend to show wear faster than the flat parts of the pool. My wife uses the pool for physical therapy and was quite satisfied with the finish except where the edge tiles were emplaced. When getting out of the pool, she cut her feet twice on the edges where the tile meets the new surface. The tile is fine, but the new surface the tile is set into sticks out from around the tiles and is very sharp. I called the company and asked them to fix this, but due to the rain they haven't been able to do so yet.
Description of Work: The pool was resurfaced with Diamond Bright and the edge of the steps were tiled. They drained the pool, removed all the raised areas of the old surface, replaced the underwater pool light, put in a new main drain cover and new pool outlets, and when done they filled the pool through a very large charcoal filter. they also left a set of instructions regarding how to treat the pool chemically and how to clean it properly so new surface hardens properly.
