Jupiter Tequesta Air Conditioning, Plumbing

Description of Work: I am in contract with them. I have been using them for a long time now. I purchased an Air Conditioning unit from them, and I felt like I have been stuck ever since. I have terrible experiences with them.

Description of Work: Some technicians were very knowledgeable and efficient. Some were not, same as I guess in any company that has many technicians. However, this company trains technicians to push a hard sell on new products. This is quite unpleasant for the customer. I imagine it is also unpleasant for some technicians. They sell service contracts at about 150.00-160.00 a year. Two maintenance services per year come with that. A great idea! I cannot accurately list service dates requested above as they varied. The customer pays for all replacement parts. I did not have a way to check out that pricing structure. Pricing on new equipment ( I comparison shopped with the exact same models) was in the ballpark of other companies even though they say they are giving the customer a better deal if the customer is on the service contract.

Description of Work: Jupiter Tequesta sold us a new Trane 5 Ton A/C and MISinstalled a new air handler in our attic. The air handler worked just fine except that it leaked continuously. Jup'r Teqta did come back again and again applied lots of tape around the areas that were dripping wet. I spent at least 2 hours myself in the attic watching and trying to help them diagnose and fix. After 4 or 5 months we finally got another A/C contractor who immediately said that there are 2 ways to install - "horizontal" or "vertical", and in a few hours the new guy corrected the problem. But the 4 to 5 months of on-going leaks caused huge damage, and mold. Our insurance company paid for all but the deductible.
