I needed to repair a bad job performed by a previous plumber, and I knew it was going to run into some serious dollars. I received four quotes, ranging from 900 to 1400. Jupiter-Tequesta's came in at 1100. The reason I went with them instead of going with the cheapest quote was because their plumber (Wayne Campbell) instilled confidence with his knowledge, professionalism and timeliness. He arrived when he said he would arrive. Then he completed the work in the timeframe that he estimated. One thing that really impressed me: The previous plumber had run plastic pipe through my attic and then out through a hole and down the exterior wall. I was only expecting to have to replace the section that ran along the exterior wall, for aesthetic reasons. However, Wayne insisted on replacing the plastic pipe in the attic with copper, explaining that the plastic was never going to last in the sweltering heat of a Florida attic. He felt so strongly that this was the right thing to do that he was willing to turn down the work if I wouldn't agree. He simply wouldn't accept the job if he couldn't "make it right." (I should point out that the other estimates did not include replacing the run of plastic pipe with copper, so, when viewed in that light, Jupiter-Tequesta's price was more than fair.)

We were not happy with Jupiter Tequesta Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. They were dishonest. We felt that we were mislead. They said they were getting us something and they weren't. They requested that we had to replace an AC system and they said that it would be a 14-seer unit. What they gave us was a 13-seer compressor with an air handler. With a higher speed, it's technically qualified under the association rules as a 14-seer combination. The thing made so much noise at the high output so we had them come back and tune it down. They misrepresented the product. The pricing was a little bit too high. It's not professional to misrepresent their product but they were pleasant and nice.

I suggested that I did not feel the system was working as well as it should be. The "technician" found nothing wrong but suggested that I needed a UV light air purifier for $1100. I declined and later researched the idea and found that I could purchase the UV light unit fo $125. I was still not feeling confident in the ac unit performance. I made an appointment with another AC company that Angie's List rated A. That company sent out a very efficient AC professional that diagnosed the ac unit as having a leaking coil and then followed up with me to let me know that the part was covered by my warranty and we have scheduled yo have it replaced next week. Every time I have had Jupiter Tequesta AC come out I have not been happy. Use them at your own risk.

I Called their office to make an appointment and asked an approximate cost to remove my old toilet and replace it with a new one I would provide. I was told they do not have that information. We had gotten 2 other estimates of $110.00 from Abacoa Plumbing and $125.00 from another company, but one could not do it that day and we lost the number of the other. I assumed the price would be within that range more or less, so made the appointment. The plumber showed up at the appointed time and told me the cost was $89.00 just to show up and an additional $229.00 to install the new toilet I had provided. When I expressed surprise at the price, he told me the $89.00 was just to send their truck! Since we live in the small town of Jupiter and that is where they are located, $89.00 seemed very excessive. In addition the $229.00 was more than twice as much as the other plumbing company would charge. I had taken the day off to get this toilet put in and it was too late to call another plumber, so I felt that even though the price was totally out of line, I had no choice but to pay it. He did a very good job taking the old one out and replacing it with a new Toto toilet that I had provided. The whole job took 50 minutes from the moment he arrived until he left. I was called later that day to make sure I was happy with the job and told them the work was well done but I would never use them again because of the price they charged me. I explained about asking for an estimate when making the appointment and I was told once again that they don't give prices over the phone. I told her that was very convenient for them not to give prices until the plumber arrived. I also told them that 2 other companies did provide prices. I would not use them again.

They do a good job but, they are a little pricy. They have always been prompt.

They had an issue with billing, and the quote being wrong initially. But then they ended up saying they read it wrong. They did good work though, and cleaned up well.

Jupiter-Tequesta Air were great to work with. I had been in the planning stages of replacing my almost 11 year old air system when it decided to retire before I had planned it to do so this fall. So in a quick process, I finished obtaining four (4) proposals/estimates and Jupiter-Tequesta Air won my confidence. They were middle of the pack with their price but I felt they offered the best solution, equipment and warranty for their proposal. The twelve (12) years parts AND labor were included in the price where others offered a 10 year and most that was an extra cost ... J-T Air also offered a 12 month 0% interest payment. My service estimator (Jay) was great to work with and worked out a system and plan to fix a 3-4 degree difference in my master bedroom temperature from the rest of the house. The two (2) installers were pleasant, professional and prompt (arrived the next morning ahead of schedule), which was Saturday. They completed the full system installation (along with the extra duct work) in about 3 1/2 hours. They worked non-stop and left no signs of their work behind (other that the new system) ... they even vacuumed my attic and garage before they left. Everyone that I came to meet and talk with (service estimator, manager, installer and office staff) were great to do business with.

They are the company that the Costco in Palm Beach Gardens has a their referral. Their price was the best for the product I chose. Not the cheapest company but not the most expensive. I got bids from 3 companies. The first company sold a brand that no one ever heard of and was the most expensive. It also didn't include UV. The cheapest company sold builder quality units and only recommended 1 system without UV and without heat. If I had a rental property; I would put this unit in. Two of the 3 gave me 3 choices and I chose the middle priced system from the middle priced company. Neat install, everything done on time and they fulfilled their agreement 100%. The system works great.

As has been mentioned in other reviews, the Jupiter-Tequesta A/C initial telephone greeting is captivating and may be the best part of their service. However, even though my A/C operation was restored, Steve told me I had a leak and replaced freon without telling me the cost which I later found out amounted to a whopping $287. He said that would be deducted from my payment if I decided to replace the entire unit. I just didn't like the way he went about it. Why replace freon in a unit that would be replaced shortly thereafter? After all, I did have another wing of the house to live in that had operating air until that decision was made. Steve did get the cost reduced after a couple of calls to the home office, but by then my confidence in the company had deteriorated.

i am sick of telling it....these people are rip offs and will drop my angies list membership if i get asked 1 more time to review them

We had an emergency about a month ago where the air conditioner stopped and they came out the same day and they said the factory motor would need to be ordered and it was back-ordered and it would be about $1,200 so they offered to put another motor in and it turned out to be really noisy. So we talked them into changing it out for us for the better motor and they did that at no extra charge to us. We had a lot of back and forth for originally for them to do this and our initial complaint was it was really expensive and I found the motor on Ebay for a lot less. So we were disappointed it was such a low quality motor and they charged such a premium price for it. They did come around eventually, however. We are really happy with the new motor now so I would have to rate them overall an A.

Their service had gone very well. They are very timely and do great work. They explain everything that they do and everything that they find.

Our A/C broke down and they came out that day. They looked at it, diagnosed the problem, and gave us an estimate. They came out the following Monday and fixed the problem. They service went well. The only problem was that one of the workers poked a hole through the drywall. They had someone come out the next day to fix the hole and did not charge anything extra.

The first crew that came out missed a few details with the installation, but the company sent another crew that had more experience and was able to rectify the problems. Ultimately, the unit was installed correctly, and the job went well.

We felt that we were being handed a bill of goods.

They are very good company. I will continue to use them in the future.

Arrived at vacation apartment to find that air conditioning system had failed. Called Jupiter Tequesta Air Conditioning and Heating in morning and a service technician came that afternoon. Technician determined that compressor had failed due to leaking freon. Technician offered two solutions: (1) replace compressor or (2) replace 17 year old system. We elected to replace the system. The company mobilized three service technicians and a crane to lift the new outside air conditioner to the roof our our four story condo overnight and replaced the system on Saturday morning, December 24th. Their personnel were very knowledgeable and competent and they completely cleaned up the work area in the apartment afterwards. We were very satisfied with their work.

I have been relatively happy with them. In the past I spent $180 to clean the drip pan or something that was clogged up. I thought they were a good company and I live in a condominium and I see their trucks here a lot. We have 49 units in our building and I think a lot of people use them. I ended up not using them last month because a friend recommended somebody else. I feel in this economy everybody should reduce their fees to be fair. Last month when I called them I didn't get a call back.

A few days ago I saw that we had some "water marks / condensation / leaks" on our second and first floor walls where the AC drain line goes down to the first floor outside drain. I was fearing the worst,....that it might be an actual leak or break from the drain line, then we would have to cut into the wall(s) and fix or replace the line, and then repair the drywall(s). A costly and time consuming problem! "Tony" from Jupiter-Tequesta Air, came to the house and did his inpection and found that the filter and the vents were the problems, not the drain line! He carefully explained how the entire AC system along with all it's components worked and why you needed to have the vents and the filters set up a certain way. He even took the time to flush out the drain line on the outside along with the other components that he inspected. He was prompt, curteous and very professional. His explanations of the system and how to have the filters and vents set up will probably save us $$$ in the long run also. I will definitely use this company again for the yearly AC Inspection, and any other possible AC issues that may arise in the future.

The air conditioner is great! I got three estimates when I got the air conditioner and they had the best price overall. They did a good job! They came within the time frame that they said they were going to come.
