SUNDAY MORNING CALLED JUPITER TEQUESTA FOR AC SERVICE THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY DIAGNOSIS REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR AND BALANCE WHEEL. SERVICE CHARGE 39.00 BECAUSE I'M A GOLD MEMBER. TECH SAID WILL ORDER PART MONDAY MORNING. TUESDAY I CALLED JT FOR AN UPDATE TWICE--NO CALLS RETURNED. WEDNESDAY CALLED SPOKE TO SHANNON AT THE CALL CENTER TOLD ME TO CALL THE TECH FOR UPDATE. CALLED TECH,RHEEM UNIT NOT UNDER WARRANTY WILL BE $1400.00 FOR MOTOR AND INSTALL. SUGGESTED I MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER A NEW SYSTEM FOR $5500-6000.00. JT WILL GIVE 10 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR FOR NEW INSTALL. I SAID MY SYSTEM IS 4.5 YEARS OLD HE SAID IT'S OBVIOUSLY A LEMON BECAUSE OF THE MAJOR WORK DONE PREVIOUSLY . THE TEMPERATURE WAS APPROACHING 90 EACH DAY. I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY AC UNIT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTEE SO I CHECKED MY RECORDS, CALLED REEM MY UNIT HAS OVER 5 YEARS LEFT ON WARRANTY. CALLED JT TO SPEAK WITH MANAGER OR PARTS STAFF. INFORMED NOT POSSIBLE.CAN'T SPEAK TO ANYONE BUT CALL CENTER PERSONNEL. FAXED A COPY OF MY DOCS TO CALL CENTER AT 2PM WEDNESDAY. THURSDAY CALLED TECH AT 10AM FOR UPDATE AND NEW PRICE ON INSTALL OF MOTOR UNDER WARRANTEE. HAD NO INFORMATION AS YET, I'M NOW 5 DAYS WITHOUT AC. THURS 11AM CALLED JT TECH BACK CANCEL ALL WORK NOT INTERESTED IN ANY SERVICE. FROM JTAC CALLED CARL'S APPLIANCE SERVICE OF JUPITER FL 561 744 6900 ,CARL HIMSELF ANSWERED THE PHONE, RESPONDED, REPLACED THE MOTOR I HAD AC BY 5PM THAT DAY. BASIC LABOR CHARGE $399.00 I WOULD CAUTION ANYONE PLANNING TO USE JUPITER TEQUESTA AC GET SECOND OPINION AND SURELY RECOMMEND CARL'S OF JUPITER

He shows up a few hours late. It was ok I was desperate... I was quoted $460.00 for the labor. And what ever parts he would need. I almost went for it I was on the verge of tears.... I told him I had to think it over. I expected 300. I called a friend who told me about another plumber. I called ... Had the job done same day 260. My feelings are hurt I have used Jupiter Tequesta for 20 years. I feel I have been taken advantage of. They did my a/c unit install in October. 2016. I wonder if I should have shopped. I thought they were honest.

Carlos did an excellent job, is very professional and never made me feel rushed. He explained things and was very thoughtful. It was a pleasant surprise to see Carlos as he sold me the unit in the first place. I am very pleased with Jupiter-Tequesta.

I have been having issues with plumbing here since we bought the house in 2012. We moved in June 2013. Most issues have been solved over the years. I have had a very good plumber for the last few years- who had brought me a guy with camera and high pressure jet to scour all my plumbing lines. He is a big guy, and the last time he had to go under my sink he could hardly fit. It is very tight. The kitchen however has continued to be a problem. I could have called my guy, but knowing he would want to go under sink first.....And each time someone had to get on the roof to snake the line. This is an old house with cast iron (galvanized?) pipes. When house was retrofitted to hook up to sewer, they left the underground pipes flowing to old drainfield, and not in direction of the sewer lift station. So we are trying to catch up-making the house work for the 21st century. So, I decided to try another company, more local, asking for repairman who is small....I know- seems funny now. Well, I had one tech snake the line as above. But we both agreed that I would have problems again. He recommended their guy Trevor to come again with camera and jet, and finally figure this out. The second tech came. And we again discussed ... coming to the conclusion that: I have a low spot on line. I needed a cleanout for the kitchen line, easy to get to. I needed then to have it jetted, unclogged, and filmed with camera. Trevor did all this. He had to do some digging, and he had to jet the line over and over. But he kept at it. The blockage was compacted grease which was hard as a rock. I don't think I will have this problem again. And IF I did, now there is a clean out I can use. Trevor showed me a $10 device I can use to jet it myself. There are some other issues we plan to address in near future such as a valve for my on demand water heater, extending pipe for my outdoor hose bib, and also discussing an outdoor shower and fixing an inside valve for the shower in spare bathroom. I think we are almost there. So I recommend Jupiter /Tequesta Air Conditioning. I plan to call them for an electrical job I have coming up. They have techs who do that too.

I bought a one year service agreement with Jupiter Tequesta AC since my neighbor was using so I thought I would try. One day my Condenser fan was not turning out side. They came over and replaced a capacitor. My equipment required a dual capacitor. They did not have one on the truck so they rigged two together and said this will work. Never offered to bring the correct part after they left at a later date. Charged $200 dollars for a part made in China. The AC started not cooling 2 weeks later. They came back. I was out town. My mother was at the house and was told we now need a new compressor! They tried to sell her a new unit for $6000! My unit was only 8 years old. I told my mother I would deal with it when I got home. Now, they came back and installed the correct dual capacitor. It still did not work. I normally don't trust HVAC companies. I have had very bad experiences. Some know how to fix the problem but don't and tell you, then they say its something else more expensive to repair. Others will just tell you you need a new AC and hold you hostage in hot weather. So Jupiter Tequesta pushed a new AC and did not fix it. My instincts told me to call another company. So I called Krauss and Crane. They came right over. I used them a few years earlier and had a great experience. For the life of me I don't know why I bought a service agreement with JT. Big mistake. Krauss and Crane found out it was the run capacitor. It was not the compressor. They fixed it in 10 minutes. Jupiter Tequesta either could not figure that out or knew and would not fix it in hopes I would buy a new AC. Folks, these companies push new AC's because the service tech gets a bonus if they sell a new unit. A capacitor is the first thing techs check when the AC malfunctions. All I can say is I trust Krause and Crane. They did not try to push a new AC. Instead they fixed the problem. Good Job to Michael at Krauss and Crane. This company has great work ethics and can be trusted. I liked the Service Tech at JT, I thought I could trust him. Folks, be careful out there. Always get three estimates before you get anything fixed! Pay only for a diagnostic ($70- to 85 dollars) then make your decision. If you do need a new unit get estimates from 4 different companies and ONLY use Factory Trained and approved installers! I will feel very comfortable calling Krauss and Crane back in the future.

VERY POORLY HANDLED GETTING ACTUAL PRICING FROM CALL CENTER. BEWARE, THEY WILL COME AND YOU WILL PAY WAY WAY MORE THAN YOU ARE INITIALLY TOLD. Called day before, they said they'd send a plumber and electrician both together at 8:30am. I was clear we needed both people at same time (due to dishwasher work) and asked about cost. The woman said $89, for both the dishwasher and microwave work. I asked multiple times (and even called back and spoke with someone else later) to confirm. I knew that was too low for both, it seemed unbelievable. I also had a $30 off coupon they said I could use. I also asked about some other projects the electrician might do, and she said that when he was here I could show him and he would quote a price, but that the $89 covered everything for dishwasher and microwave work. The day of work, Trevor, the plumber was 5 minutes early, nice and professional. The plumber says the $89 is a service fee and it's $150(?) or so for dishwasher change. At that point, realizing I am going to be charged two service fees, I ask him to call his manager who agrees to waive the electrician's fee for my trouble. The electrician didn't show up for about an hour more, so plumber left and had to come back. Then the electrician comes and says it's ~$275 to change the microwave. I tell him I am going to call to speak to a manager, but he says there is no way to get a manager through the call center, so he calls someone on his phone. So I think I agree to pay $89 and they are asking $89+$150+$89+$275. It's ridiculous. We've renovated since last July and worked with many contractors, this is the WORST communication about pricing we have experienced so far.

I called J/T for an estimate, they arrived promptly, and installed a new whole house HVAC purchased through Home Depot the following day (Saturday). Both of the Techs were polite and worked diligently. Last week I called because of a weird noise coming from the compressor unit. Justin showed up the next day, found nothing out of the ordinary and topped of the coolant level. Thank you to everyone from sales to service. Mark S.

LOCALS AND SNOWBIRDS BEWARE - WORTH THE READ This company is a train wreck. Requested an estimate for a Plumber to install a shower pan. When the Plumber arrived, he didn?t even have a pen and paper to write anything down. After being here for over an hour, he went back out to his van to get a pen and pad. Why wouldn?t he come in with the pen and pad the first time? After the estimate was given, I made an appointment for the job to be done. The Plumbing Company called and shared that the Plumber would be here November 25th, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. He arrived at 10:00 a.m. When the Plumber arrived, I was so disappointed that it was the same guy who provided the estimate as this Plumber had lazy written all over him. The Plumber went back into the same bathroom, looked around, and said he had to leave to pick up some material. Now, since it was the same Plumber that gave the estimate and supposedly wrote everything down, shouldn?t he have already known the supplies that were needed? Why didn?t he come prepared? The Plumber left and did not return for TWO hours. When he finally returned, against my better judgment, I offered him something to eat for lunch. 30 minutes later, after he finished his lunch, he noted that he had to go back to the store as he forgot the drain. How do you forget the drain when that is one of the major components to the job? Once again, he left. This time, he was gone 2 1/2 hours. When he returned, he finally brought his tools in with him. He then had the nerve to say that he had to go to another job. NOTHING was done at this point. Either this plumber was extremely incompetent or during that prior 2 1/2 hour disappearing act, he went to another job. Once the Plumber noted he had to go to anther job, my wife drove to the office in Tequesta, Florida and spoke with a Manager, Jason. My wife explained the situation. Jason was surprised to hear that the Plumber left twice for long periods of time. He was equally surprised to hear that he did not come prepared with all the supplies as that is the very reason they send the same Plumber that gives the estimate (according to Jason). Jason also shared that they would send another Plumber to assist. Guess what? No other Plumber showed up to help. This was all a charade. Now, the Plumber needed to shut off the water so he can finally start the job. He didn?t even know how to do that. He complained about everything but did nothing. Shortly after, he approached my wife and said he had ANOTHER job and that he would be back in an hour. This was the third time he left. He left and returned about 1 1/2 hours later, had some pie, and then went back into the bathroom. Minutes later, he called us into the bathroom, saying that there was a problem. He said he had to chip away concrete to install the drain and there would be an additional charge of 200.00. He also stated he couldn?t finish the job because he was too tired. It was now 6:30 PM and NOTHING had been done. Tired from what? Coming unprepared? Unable to shutoff the water? Unable to drain the pipes? Tired from going to the store three times? Or tired from going to other jobs when he should have been here doing the job he was contracted to do? He left, said he would return that Friday, November 27th, leaving his tool-bag and vacuum in the middle of the floor. On Thanksgiving day, I went to use the kitchen sink and there was no hot water. I walked over to the hot water heater and found it unplugged. I called the store and asked to speak with Jason. When Jason finally called me back, I shared the events, step by step how NOTHING was done. I told Jason, I didn't want this guy back and that his tools would be outside the front door for him to pick up on Friday. In summary, this Plumber was incompetent and going to other jobs by his own admission. This company had the highest estimates of anyone in town, the most incompetent plumber I have ever encountered, and would NEVER recommend this company - not even to turn on a garden hose. You would think that since Jupiter-Tequesta Plumbing had the highest estimate in town, the work would be done in a professional and timely manner - not so and never again.

We called on a Sunday and an estimate of arrival time was agreed to --about 3 hours later. Then within 10 minutes we received a call from their office that he could arrive within 20 minutes. Upon arrival Jose spent quite a bit of time outside and in our attic area and checking the thermostat before telling us that 1. the filter should have been changed earlier and 2. the valve which controls the refrigerant needing replacing. We also discussed the possibility of installing another return which may improve the efficiency of the unit. The charge for Sunday was only the trip charge $89.

They were very professional and did a great job. They also complete the annual maintenance on the unit for us and we have been very pleased.

We called several companies to get pricing on central air units. Our system was on its last legs when we purchased the house. When Jason, the estimator from Jupiter-Tequesta arrived it became clear they are real professionals. He looked over the entire system and how it was installed. Asked us questions about what we expected and gave us three options for replacement. When they installed the system we chose, they did it the same day in an efficient professional manner. The supervisor visited the job to be sure there were no problems. They inspected the new equipment before install and found that the new air handler had a small dent from shipping damage. They rejected that unit and had it exchanged for a new one before they would continue. I was concerned the air handler in the attic might leak so they put another drain pan below it with a separate drain and showed me how to check it to be sure we had no leaks in the house. The system has been running for a year now. It is absolutely quiet, keeps the house comfortable and our electric bills are way down. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.
