Zach and team did a great job painting the exterior of our house. They were very professional, completed the work in less time than estimated and really did a much neater, better job that I had expected. I will definitely use them when I'm ready to have the interior of the house repainted.

Zachary did a phenomenal job on my office. He was fairly priced and was able to bring in a crew of 4 men to complete the job in 1 day so that I could continue to work. I will definitely be using him again for my house and other paint jobs in the future.

Hurricane Matthew was looming and we were under a voluntary (at the time) evacuation. Larry showed up early, got the job done, and was out in enough time for all of us to get ourselves out of the way of the storm.

They responded quickly to my call, gave me an estimate and completed the work within a week. Their cost was much more affordable than the 2 other quotes, the painter was respectful, quick and thorough. I will hire this company again when I need more painting completed.

We contracted with Straight Edge Painting to do the job on October 24th, 25th and 26th. The owner of the company, Zach, contacted us several days before beginning the job to review everything with us. The pressure washing took place as promised on October 24th. Very professional crew members and they did a great job. The painting crew arrived promptly on the 25th and 26th. All crew members were polite, respectful of our home, professional, timely, skilled and they worked together in great harmony. They asked us questions throughout the job and showed us any areas of concern they needed to discuss. Zach called us in the evening to see how things went and discuss any concerns with us. This was a very good experience and we highly recommend this company. We give Straight Edge Painting an A++ and will certainly use them again for our other painting projects.

Exceeded my expectations. Best bid of three in quality and price. In the future I will not even bother with other bids I would go to them. The pre-staining pressure washing was very good. Painters were on time to start work and keep everything cleaned up. Team leader Dave, kept us informed of how the project was going and did a great job matching new stain to 20 old house colors.

Let me start out by saying that I am a very picky and particular person. I am very thorough and detail oriented, and will spot every single flaw in every single bit of work done in my home. Having said that, Zach and the whole Straight Edge crew are FANTASTIC! I would happily hire them again and refer them to all of my friends and anybody who asks. You will definitely pay 10 or 20% above other quotes for Straight Edge's service, but it's worth every penny. Let me tell you why. Professionalism: Zach showed up for our estimate loaded to the brim with info and advice. He immediately handed us his insurance information, as well as a 3 page document detailing the exact process that they use to paint (and offering some guarantees). From prep to finish, they tell you exactly what they're going to do. Much to my enjoyment, they followed that process to the letter on site. I literally got exactly what I paid for. Speed: They repainted our entire home in 4 days! And they didn't rush the work. Other quotes we got said it would be 2 or 3 weeks, not days. So one reason to go with them is expediency since having contractors in your home is both disruptive and stressful. On one day I counted 7 or 8 painters here at once working on multiple parts of the house, which is how they get it done so quickly. Property care, respect, and friendliness: They thoroughly prepped every surface before painting, and laid down plenty of guards and cloths to protect our belongings + floors from damage. Everybody was very careful not to damage anything, and I can happily report that not a single thing got damaged or even scratched during the work. I asked them to be specifically careful when working around our dining room table, and they took all kinds of precautions as a result, including making a rule to never set any work materials on it, even though it was covered in drop cloths. I really appreciated this care and concern. A hands-on owner: Zach (the owner) would jump in and help out with the work himself - not just stand around and supervise. A hands on owner is, to me, one who cares. He would inspect every painter's work and do touch-ups himself unprompted by me. I also enjoyed the fact that he treated his employees with respect and even took them out to lunch - a sign of a boss that cares and isn't just trying to make a quick buck. The painters themselves: they were super skilled, consistent, and reliable. They said they'd show up at 8:00am each morning, and actually they'd show up at 7:45am and waited in their trucks until 8:00am at which point they'd ring our doorbell exactly on the hour. They moved furniture with extreme care not to damage anything, including the floors. They were very friendly, kind, and considerate of our property, belonging, furniture, and even our dog (who is very old and was pretty stressed out, but they were kind to her and helped her relax). They worked until about 5:00pm each day at which point they would clean up and leave no mess. With my permission they left drop cloths and paper on the floors overnight - I figured it was easier for them to not have to redo all that prep in the morning and it was no bother to me. What's nice is that they made sure to ask rather than assume! They will make sure you're happy: These people are the most thorough painters I've ever met. They would never call any room complete without me giving it an inspection and ensuring that I was happy. I heard the phrase "we want to make sure you're happy" at least a dozen times. They care about doing things right. As a very picky and particular person, I pointed out multiple concerns when inspecting the paint job (all of which were minor, human things that happen like a drip here, or a few pieces of lint from a roller there). Zach responded each time by stating he'd happily fix it, and make sure that I was happy. And he did. And he also found and fixed lots of minor issues - many that other paint companies probably wouldn't care about - without my involvement. One night, after painting our wooden window sills, I noticed that a few had a rough wood grain in the finish. I made a note to bring this up with Zach the next day. By the time I got around to talking to Zach about it on the next day, he had gone ahead and fixed the issue without me ever having a chance to say anything. This guy cares about quality work! By the time they were done at our house, we had an amazing paint job that was flawless and super high quality. People that come to visit can't stop remarking about how amazing our place looks now! Quality of surface prep: this is part of why you'll pay them about 20% more than competitors. All surfaces received a very detailed prep session prior to work. Most impressively, we had a lot of cracks and bad seams in our ceilings - even some places where the paint was cracking and flaking off from a prior paint job. Zach and crew come prepared with drywall mud and tools, and used them to completely refinish all ceilings. Now they are all flawless and look brand new, despite our home being 60 years old. There are no rough spots, seems, or cracks to be seen. It's a total transformation and my wife and I are very impressed. The walls were equally well treated, with sanding of all rough spots and fixing of all holes and cracks prior to paint work. The saying goes "a good paint job is 90% prep" and Straight Edge knows this to be true. As I said earlier, I am a very difficult customer who has an eye for detail and is extremely thorough. I anticipated a lot of issues with our paint project but was delighted to have absolutely none! Zach and his crew did an incredible job of restoring our house with a clean, professional, high quality modern paint job. My wife and I both feel that their work has exceeded our (very high) expectations. Zach also contacted us a week later to make sure we're still happy and offered to come touch up any concerns we had, free of charge. This is an A+ professional painting crew that will not do you wrong. I look forward to hiring Zach and Straight Edge again in the future! Note: $300 of our cost was upgraded paint, which we requested (and was well worth it!).

Zack got the quote to us within 48 hours. We scheduled the job about 5-7 days later. The crew showed up on time and worked a full day...the job was estimated to take about 4 days. The crews was on time or early every morning. They patched and sanded every wall that needed work. The job was done in the four days and we couldn't be happier . Th work was beyond expectations. Our house now looks like a new construction freshly painted home. We bought this house two years ago and know it needed a fresh paint job. The previous owners painted and patched up through the years. Straight Eedge brought it back to new...again, couldn't be happier...thanks to Zack and his crew....all nice people.

Last week we coordinated with Zachary Bristol with his company Straight Edge Painting to remove the popcorn ceiling work throughout our home. We discovered Zachary’s company through reading about his company’s work on Angie’s List. His many excellent reviews on Angie’s List made it an easy choice to set up a meeting to coordinate an estimate. Zachary met with us immediately. He was very positive and genuine; he had an estimate to us the next day. Zachary’s sincere manner and pride in his work convinced us to work with him. We are so glad that we did. Since removing the popcorn work is quite a process, there was not simply the removing of the popcorn in each room, there was the repairing and smoothing of the drywall and ridding the ceiling of any imperfections which are easily hidden within the popcorn. Our ceilings had marks from the air conditioning vents. They needed a great deal of work. We commissioned Zachary and his team for this job while we were out of town. This work creates a lot of dust and debris. It is simpler to complete this work when there is not a family in the house. Zachary kept us up to date with how the work was progressing. When we returned, we were amazed at the transformation of our home. We had no idea that by simply removing the popcorn work from the ceilings and smoothing out the drywall and leaving a white, smooth appearance that our home’s look would change so completely. Our family room’s vaulted ceiling seemed higher, more pronounced and looks better than ever. The rooms had been vacuumed and dusted; the couches had been vacuumed or they appeared to have been. I know that the rooms were covered in order to protect the furniture and other items in each room. Zach Bristol and his fellow professionals definitely went above and beyond our expectations of having this important project completed. A few of our neighbors stopped by to see his work. They were definitely pleased. We are also very pleased at the work that Zachary Bristol and his team completed for us. I strongly recommend him for any future ceiling work or painting that an individual needs to have completed. He will not disappoint.

It went very smoothly. They were prompt, efficient, professional, polite. All told They were a very nice crew to work with. They did everything as promised, in a timely manner. Clean up was perfect. You could hardly tell they had the house updumped during painting. Everything was back where it belonged when they finished. All I had to do was put back the small decrative stuff. I had a wealth of paint colors to choose from. They used good quality paint, 2 coats everywhere. House looks beautiful. I honestly don't have a single negative thing to say. They were awesome. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Would use them again for sure.

We couldn't be more pleased with the painting job provided. The crew, Dave and Ron arrived right on time both days, got right to work and were very polite and friendly. The paint was applied professionally even fixing issues from prior painting jobs. We were happy with all aspects of their work and they cleaned up both rooms before leaving, the rooms look great. They were very professional and did an excellent painting job. They weren't the cheapest quote but also they were not the most expensive. My only complaint (and it is not major) is that I wish the cleanup would have been a little more thorough. I would use them again.

Excellent. Straight Edge's price was competitively bid and was lowest among the contractors whom I felt could handle a complicated job. They had teams of four to renew all caulking joints, prime coat the entire house and then apply two coats of paint in the color pattern specified by me. Clapboard repairs and preliminary pressure washing were subbed out, but were done well. After the painting, the repairs blended in nicely. I had already purchased the paint, but allowed Straight Edge to supply additional paint which was needed. The cost of service reflects that. Initially, I thought all the bids were higher than anticipated, but afterward can appreciate the amount of labor required which merited the price, and I consider the value to be good. All work was completed in two weeks with no lingering issues.

Straight Edge Painting was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive estimate I received. I'm happy with their service. The crew was nice and courteous. They were very diligent workers. There were some complications along the way which they promptly addressed. The actual paint job looks very good, of course, time will tell but it appeared that they did a good job of preparing the surfaces (not just a simple paint over). If I have any misgiving it would be that I ended up with 2 broken landscape lights and the cleanup could be a little more thorough. Seems like everyone one I've used (lawn service, bug service, etc) ends up breaking one of the lights. Still I would have no reservation in using them again.

Our house was built a number of years ago and still had "builder white" on all of the walls. Straight Edge had painted the exterior of our home and when we checked for interior painters, we again found that Straight Edge was the most reasonably priced and we knew their work was good. We had three painters for 4 days and two painters for one day. They arrived on time, around 8:30 every morning and worked all day every day. They were professional in every regard and very willing to work with us regarding paint colors and changes. We could not have been more pleased with their work.
