I cancelled the repair due to the lack of professionalism of this company. I called them on Friday night because my ac stop working. I got the answering service who took the message and contacted the actual company employee 2 hours later. They set an appointment time for the next day between 8-12. I was told that someone would call me prior to their arrival. I received a call at 730 in the morning but no one was on the other end. I called the number back and it went to voicemail. so I left a message to make sure they didn't cancel on me. 2 hours later no call back from company. so I called the answering service again and this time someone finally bothered to call me back to tell me that they were running late and wouldn't be there at 12. they also said that no one called back because they weren't ready. so I kindly told them to cancel and that id go with another company. If a company doesn't do what they say and then not bother to let you know that plans changed until you call them then I can only imagine how they would actually handle my repair. I wont ever call them again.

I purchased a new unit from Snyder 6 months ago and it has been working just beautifully in this one of the hottest summers ever. It was time for my first maintenance check-up. The tech, Jeremy arrived on time and proceeded to give the unit an entire inspection, cleaning etc. He did a thorough job and was a delightful gentleman. Jeremy also made some recommendations as to items I might want to add in the future. The procedure went very well. Snyder is a great company.

I have used Snyder Heating & Air since 2010 for a rental property. Today I had an emergency situation and spoke to Cameron. Cameron would not take my credit card info over the phone. He also said that despite a 6 year relationship with this company they would not bill me. He said the only way they would come out is if I gave my credit card info to my tenant who occupies the property. What landlord gives their credit card info to their tenant? Don't use this amateur company.

Technician was professional, knowledgable, and thorough. I appreciate that he didn't mind me watching over his shoulder to see (learn) what he was doing. He was on time, explained everything he was doing, cost, and cleaned up before he left. All work was done as expected including final cost.

Terrible, as I had to make five phone calls to their answering service before finally receiving a call back @ 11PM. At that time I was told it was too late for a Tech to come, even though they do advertise 24/7 emergency service. The very nice lady that did take my call @ 11PM, even after being apologetic, said we would have to wait overnight for service. At that time our home was 84 degrees with 70% humidity. When their tech, Jason, came the next morning @ 9AM, he was pleasant, professional and very willing to find the problem. He did so, saying a missing part should have been installed at installation time or we would not have experienced the failure. Getting a message to the company was an inexcusable miscommunication between their answering service and the company folks that take the calls. The eventual service was excellent.
Description of Work: A service call after our new (installed on 4/1/16 by Snyder) a/c unit quit cooling during a dinner party about 8PM on 7/9/16. This was the second service call request since the unit was installed.

I would like to comment about Snyder Air Condition. I had a problem with my air condition and I called Snyder, because they were in Angie's List book. Jason the tech who came out. He did a wonderful job. He was honest and fix my problem. This is a great honest company. I know it is hard to find a air condition company. I had a problem with another company who try to sell me a new air condition. Which I didn't need. Thank-you Angie's List and Snyder.

The man told me that the part they installed should boost my A/C unit even though it was a very old unit. The A/C unit went out after a week. I had to end up purchasing an additional A/C unit to replace the broken one and they offered to sell me one for $7,900. I called another HVAC provider and they sold me the same exact A/C unit for $4,400 including installation.

The homeowner is correct and we did find system not running on first service call and had to replace hard start kit to get unit back up and running. System was fine when we left. It ran for another few days and the compressor did go out. We came back out a few days later at no charge.We did price for a compressor replacement and also gave price on system replacement. It is very unfortunate that we would receive a F rating for the customers failed system. We had no control over the compressor failure. Pricing on systems vary for many different reasons. We just looked at the permit for this installation by the other company and we would have never quoted a builders grade model of equipment from Trane. TWB model condensers are never quoted by Snyder.

I was given a quote as to how much it would be for them to come and check it out. Then they even added we can be there within an hour. Needless to say it was almost two hours later before they showed. I told them when I called that I was the home manager and I would be waiting for them. The tech showed up with a rushed kind of attitude preceded to the door with no shoe covers in hand. When I asked him if he had any he said yes and went back to the van and retrieved some. He used the excuse for being late was because in was Middleburg. If that was the case they knew there was NO WAY he would be there within the hour as I too live in that area and on a good day it takes me about 1.05hr each way. When he made it to the top floor and started to take the door covers off the a/c and then asked me what was the issue. I then read to him word for word the same thing I read to the office. He jumped up and said that will take at least 2 hrs. There is no way I am checking all 3 for $74 (suppose to be a discount for 1st timers). He said it will be per unit. I instructed him I would need to run it by the homeowner and would be right back. By the time the owner had responded (about 2-3 min) he had already packed up his stuff and was heading out the front door. I asked him where are you going I told you I'm checking with the homeowner he then said so go ahead and check. I told him I did and it would be fine since it would come off the repairs most likely. He said no it won't. I asked him to please call the office at which time he told me I could call them myself that was no way that they told me that. I told them to review the call I most certainly did tell them. After awhile all they could say is sorry and they could come out another day with a different tech and charge me the $74 for the first unit and $50 for each additional. In the meantime my employer wasted two hours of pay for my services that I feel the company should reimburse them for since it was a breach on Snyder's part. I will never use them in any of the homes I manage after this terrible service. My job is to look after the homeowners not try to milk them.

We have reviewed the three phone calls placed by the property manager upon booking. It sounded as if the problem as far as the pricing goes is that it was misunderstanding to our inbound call agent that there where three systems because she gave us a one system price from another company. She asked us to price match a one system price. The phone call did drop upon quoting the price upon the first phone call so could have contributed to the misunderstanding. The property manager did call back and we dispatched technician right away but it was still unclear about three systems. We did agree to fix the pricing and arrange for different technician to come out the next day because of the house having the three systems. It was 4:07 in the afternoon and we had technician on site by 5:43 pm the same day. We believe that this was clearly a miscommunication due to the conversation that we listened to over the phone. We pride ourselves on delivering quality workmanship and offered to make other arrangements to accomplish this on the following day.

We have been with our previous HVAC servicer for eight years. In 2010, they installed the two units we have now. After these new units were installed we became acquainted with dirty socks syndrome. This had never been a problem with our old units. We decided to try a new company this year. Robert, the technician who serviced our units today, arrived on time, was informative, thorough, and proactive. (He was here from 8:30 a.m. to noon.) After he opened the air handlers, he explained why the environment inside the unit is conducive to the accumulation of bacteria and showed us where it had accumulated. He sprayed the coils with a product that kills the bacteria and minimizes the smell before he ran the units. He inspected the units, cleaned everything, checked the refrigerant levels and installed a Pan Protector. He described several things we could do reduce the problem. I had noticed that there is a lot of dust coming from the ducts. At his suggestion, we have set up an appointment to have the ducts cleaned. He told us a different crew does duct cleaning, but he would be her afterward to answer questions and collect payment. He wore covers on his shoes to protect the carpet which was greatly appreciated since we have light colored carpet. Overall, I was very pleased with the service. He seemed to genuinely care about doing a good job. I will make a point to ask for him the next time.

I bought the $130.00 Angie's special for bi-annual HVAC inspection on Thursday, 9/10. Someone called Friday morning and the first inspection was scheduled for the following business day, 9/14 for noon. The office called at about 11:15am on Monday saying the tech was on his way. They called again at noon saying that the tech was at the wrong address, but would be here shortly. Jomor arrived a little late because there was a SNAFU on the directions, but that happens a lot in Nocatee where all the streets are not yet on the GPS systems. Jomor apologized profusely for being late but he was ready to go with booties on to protect my floors. He inspected the indoor unit first and then the outdoor unit. He turned down the thermostat two degrees to check refrigerant levels and he cleaned leaves out of the outdoor unit. He cleaned the coils, flushed the drain and inspected the contactor and said everything was okay. When he went outside, I asked him if he wanted to walk through the house as it would be a shorter walk and he refused, saying that he didn't want to track dirt into my house by going out and in that way. Before he left, Jomor gave me the company magazine and mentioned a $20 coupon inside. I appreciated his professionalism. He was here a total of 40 minutes. Someone will be out again in March.

I looked the prices of the items I was charged for. I found the 40+5 capacitor for less than $9 with shipping on ebay Snyder AC charged me$145, I found the booster capacitor on ebay for $16 Snyder AC charged me $155, and I was charged $75 per pound for r410a refrigerant or Freon and found that anyone can buy the new Freon r410a without a license on ebay $100 for 25 pounds which is $4 a pound. They might not charge a service call but man they really get you on the price of parts. I tried to contact Snyder AC and was told the manager was in a meeting. This happened 4 times in a week then I gave up. The service technician did service the

The technician recommended the super boost and stated that it would lower the amp draw on the compressor by 1/3 which he showed on his meter. This will help extend the life of your compressor and makes the unit quieter upon startup. He states that this will help with your electric bill but not cut it by 1/3rd. All the parts are flat rate priced. Which means that it's just not the part itself it's everything that makes up the cost to have it stocked on the vehicle. etc. I will be glad to speak with you anytime at 219-9701.
