Randy & Ray's

I sent a message thru Angielists requesting an appt for a quote on a sidewalk. After a few days, I have not heard anything. I messaged the company via Angielist that I have not heard a response and take my business somewhere else.

I can highly recommend Randy and Ray for the work that they do. Not only did they provide great communication, up front and throughout the project, they did whatever was necessary to keep us happy and keep the project moving forward. Randy was just the best and very knowledgeable when it comes to hardscapes and I really enjoyed working with him. I can't say this for most of the contractors that I have worked with over the years. He walked the property with me, helped me figure out the design of the project and offered a lot of suggestions on what we should do vs. shouldn't do. Another example of his dedication to doing this project correctly was working with our plumber to coordinate running a gas line from an inground tank to the fire pit. Both parties needed to coordinate around each other and Randy took it on and handled it all for us. His crews were polite, worked very hard and cleaned up after themselves along the way. I will definitely use Randy and Ray's when we decide to rework our driveway and front walkway and I have already recommended them to a few of my neighbors.

I was called by Randy and explained to him what I was looking for and an apt was set for him to come out and give me a quote. No show/no call to reschedule. I sent a message through Angie's List app after over a week went by ... Still nothing. I should have taken other reviewers advice but I thought it was simply a miscommunication. Don't waste your time.

Overall I was impressed how quickly this company moves on a job. They put this together and moved at lightly speed compared to the many vendors I have had over the years on various projects. Estimate quoted was the best of 6 that I received. Prices for pavers seem to very a lot depending on overhead that each company has. The two guys doing the brunt of the work were very polite and professional. The lead worker has good people skills and we discussed several times the reason they were performing something a certain way. Ultimately is was to give me a better finished product. What a great enhancement it will be to enjoy this. There are a couple little touch up spots that could use a tweaking. They only way I could see to improve this is to put in a little more sand in a few spots that seemed like there a few gaps. Also I noticed two or three spots where a little paver probably should of been cut not to leave a small hole. I have recommended these folks to several of my neighbors already

Made appt. with Randy who came and gave us a proposal. Pavers were ordered and delivered. Team arrived and installed. The entire process was over a three week period which Randy had said we should expect for paver delivery and getting onto the calendar. It was this easy. Randy was accessible and very helpful. Every aspect was timely. The installation team (2) was efficient, pleasant and clean. The end result was exactly what we were expecting, can't ask for more. I would use Randy and Ray's again and recommend them highly.

They removed the sod from the location and hauled away. Carefully moved sprinkler system and moved over. Prepared location for base and filled appropriately and tampered down as they went etc after each layer of base was added. Two guys did a great job and were also very punctual and hard working. I will be referring Randy and Rays not just for the great work they did, but also for their great price compared to the other estimates I had for this job. Thanks again guys.

In doing my front porch area, the two young men working on my project had to remove existing concrete before covering the area with pavers. The guys did an awesome job, were very friendly and truly hard working individuals. My husband and I actually had the back porch area extended to include the fire pit and sitting wall once we saw how much outdoor living the original paver area was providing. I cannot say enough about the outstanding service Randy and Ray's provided. Laying pavers takes a strong person and this company has excellent employees.

I sent an email to them through Angie's list. He did not contact me. He then contacted me a few weeks later and said it got sent to his spam folder. he said he would then contact me. Well it has been at least a month and no contact. I have left multiple messages for them. I guess they do not want my business

Randy and Ray's did a fantastic job. They showed up on time, were priced well below the competition and had excellent quality. If we do any hardscaping in the future we will be utilizing their services.

Randy came out to our residence to discuss possible patio work in our backyard. He is a very likeable person and seemed very professional. However, weeks later I contacted him to see if we were going to receive an estimate and he stated he should have provided it already but would send it that evening. Instead I received an email the next morning stating that he did not have notes on my job and could I provide him with more detail. I sent back an email with some details and have not heard anything since. I sent him a couple of text messages to which he did not respond either. I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this company.

Great job! They arrived promptly, performed the service as requested, cleaned up well after themselves and did a fabulous job. Very pleased with their service.

Randy returned our call very quickly and came out within a few days to provide an estimate. I live in Nocatee and most contractors are very unresponsive but we didn't experience that with Randy. He does such good work he was booked for a couple weeks but after seeing the finished product I completely understand why. We couldn't be happier and the additional space may keep me from having to buy my wife a new house. Thanks again for the great work Randy & Rays!

Randy showed up on time for original estimate on job. Randy is very easy to work with, and has a great crew working for him. The pavers themselves took some time to come in from the manufacturer, but Randy let us know up front there would be a delay. The work performed was quite professional and completed on time. The crew he had working for him is professional and quite loyal, which speaks well for Randy. They took their time and did it right! It is a beautiful patio, I highly recommend R&R to anyone wanting Hardscape work done!

Owner, Randy, was responsive and punctual to our initial call and meeting to determine where to place the patio. He told me it would be 2-3 weeks before the installation. After 4 weeks I called him to ask about the installation delay. He told me at that time he would schedule me for the following wednesday. When I hadn't heard from him by late morning I called him and he said he had reservations about the ground being too wet to install pavers. He set up another installation date for the following week and agreed to call me the day before to check on the status of my lawn. We did speak and agreed it would be dry enough to do the job. Two of Randy's employees showed up to do the installation - arriving punctually and doing what my untrained eye considered a good job. In Randy's defense, we had an unusual amount of rain in the weeks following the first installation date I was given so he was behind on other jobs ahead of me as well as my job. But I was disappointed that he didn't communicate better with me once he realized there was going to be a much longer delay than he had originally told me. I had to contact him each time but he did return my call within a reasonable amount of time. I would still use this business in the future with the hopes that communication would be better.

This is the second time I've had Randy & Ray's out. They really are incredible professionals! The work is a perfect complement to the pavered patio they installed earlier. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to ask a question concerning Angie's Big Deal. The have not returned my phone call. I must be an extra customer. No way will we use them. If they can't return a phone call, how can they be trusted to provide quality service?

Superb job from start to finish. Excellent coordination with us to plan the job and make solid recommendations to the design. All work was scheduled and completed per that plan. Hard working crew came out early on the day of installation and worked to very late - almost finishing in one day. Job finished the following day and the site was thoroughly cleaned up. They even hauled away our old wooden steps. They worked around the rainy weather to get the sealing job finished in timely manner. We had a punch list of minor items to adjust which was completed quickly and with a smile. Beautiful finished product that is a great addition to our home. Very well done guys - BRAVO ZULU!

The work was done ahead of scheduled date. Ray & his crew were very efficient. I will be using this company again for future projects.

Randy's responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are top notch. Very stand up guy who was very easy to get along with. The price was also very good, he's not the cheapest your going to find, but far from the most expensive. The quality of their work was also outstanding; everything was level and correctly done. The only reason I docked them on quality and overall rating is because of the work outlined in the estimate did not meet the final work completed. This might have been a result of the miscommunication between Randy and his team. The biggest issue for me was the actual pavers used versus estimated. The job was estimated at around 750 total sqft, I currently have exactly 170sqft of pavers left over sitting on a pallet in my yard. That is over 22% material overage and waste, equating to almost $400 of Tremron pavers that I have to try and find something to do with now. Either we bought way to much materials or didn't use enough for the job, and I feel the latter happened. The walkway was scoped to be 4ft wide and it ended up only being 3ft wide. I would have liked the onsite team to have done two things; first make the walkway 4ft and second noticed that there was going to be a large amount of left over pavers and made the patio a foot or two wider. I noted that I would use this provider again and that is because, besides everything else I mentioned above, the work was top notch and of very high quality and Randy was a pleasure to work with. But I would make very certain that the above issues are address the next time around. This experience has taught me that I need to clarify my expectations more frequently and have plans in place for excess materials.

After getting an estimate from a company referred by Home Depot, I decided to look at Angie's List and research the reviews for paver companies. Liked all the positive comments about Randy and Ray Pavers and sent a request for an estimate. Randy quickly responded and made an appointment that week. His quote for the job was considerably lower than the first one; provided information on where to go to look at the pavers so I would know exactly what color I would be getting; and even made a suggestion as to how to finance the job. I took him up on all of his suggestions and then set a date for installation of pavers. Randy and his crew arrived at 8:00 AM as stated. While Randy did not personally work on the project, he made sure the two workers (who were exceptional) knew what was required to do the job properly and returned at the end of the day to make sure everything was done as instructed. I am very happy with the results especially since Maggie, my golden retriever is finally learning to lay on the pavers instead of in the dirt - the whole reason for the project!

I scheduled an appointment for a quote on replacing our deck with a brick paver patio. After waiting 30 minutes past appointment time I called the company back with no answer. Approximately 5 minutes later I received a call from Randy, and my appointment was never "put in his book", and was unable to come out that day as it was around 5pm. He also did not provide a solution. I scheduled the appointment over the phone with him a week prior, and my wife and I both took off of work early to meet with him. If this is any reflection on their level of service, I have no desire to do business with them.

Great! One thing I learned quickly is that follow up was poor among other providers in area and mostly because the size of the job. But Randy was different. He understood the issue we needed to work on and was flexible with us. We had a couple of snake incidents at our doorstep partially due to the landscaping attracting small animals and we wanted to change from this. He worked with us to schedule a time that worked for us. Scheduling took a while as we needed to get some drainage work to run gutters away from area to install pavers. As well as scheduling around us having a babyt! Workmanship, materials and overall outcome was excellent. Randy was extremely professional but personable as well. His workers cleaned up after themselves very well.

Great customer service and response time. Quality of work was outstanding and all work was done in a timely manner. Have used their services 3x now and will keep doing so.
