Randy and his crew were reccommended by a friend of mine. Randy was very functual and had a great turnaround time on his estimate to me. He is very professional. He took pride in his work. He did what he said he would do. I trully appreciated his time and work. I would reccommend Randy and look forward to working with him again. Thank you Randy!

Randy came to give an estimate promptly. His price was about the same as my first estimate. I choose him because he seemed more knowledgeable. He had some good ideas about how to proceed. He even helped with some advice about my plants that had to be moved. We communicated mostly by email, and he was prompt to respond. The amount of rain we had during the time the work was supposed to begin caused the job to be delayed. Although it doesn't affect my overall rating, I think he could have kept me in the loop more during the delay. Otherwise, the job was perfect, and the communications I had with Randy and his staff were excellent. I thought the men who work for Randy were trustworthy, hard working and pleasant. The pavers look great, and many neighbors have complemented us. I would recommend Randy without hesitation and expect someone in the neighborhood to ask soon.

I asked Randy to do a second job. He spent a good deal of time discussing my backyard with me. He referred me to another company, when I asked him about some irrigation work that he considered not in his area of expertise. The people he recommended were good. He gave me a short term and long term plan for my backyard and didn't flinch when I went with the short term plan for financial reasons. This job was done quickly and well. He met a tight deadline so that I could have a party in the backyard with the job completed.

Randy came highly recommended by my brother-in-law and some friends of mine so I decided to contact Randy about the possibility of laying some pavers and building a fire pit in my back yard. Randy was very prompt in providing me with a very reasonable estimate, and made sure to explain all my options to me. Once we agreed to the terms of the job, Randy and his crew came very next week and laid approximately 400 square feet of pavers and built a fire pit. Including prep work, the entire job only took them three days, and it would have only taken them two days had the second day not been shortened by rain. When they were finished, I was amazed about how nice my back yard looked. Randy and his crew did an excellent job and everything turned out exactly how I had envisioned it. The outstanding work performed by Randy and his crew coupled with the professionalism that Randy exuded throughout the entire process were very impressive. So much so, that I plan on contacting Randy about doing some landscaping around my house. If anyone is considering any type of hardscaping in and around their house, you owe it to yourself to talk to Randy.

I called Randy to see if he could replace my old (1974) back patio with a new, modern, larger one. He said he could be out in a few days to take a look. He appears to stay busy but arrived exactly as promised for our meeting to estimate the cost of installing the new one. This consisted of building a retaining wall on an uneven slope, leveling the old area with fill and installing the pavers as well as removing the existing landscaping. The estimate was provided in writing in a day or 2 and exactly to the specifications as required by the HOA. All the work was done on time and as agreed to. They removed all the trash from the site. It was an excellent job and not only me but my neighbors as well were impressed. I was so pleased with the job he did on the back I had him remove and replace my entire front patio a month later. This was also done exactly as planned and on schedule. I highly recommend these guys for their excellent work, price and professionalism.

It went great over all! He recommended a sprinkler system also which we went ahead and had installed and it has helped a lot..definitely worth it for our large yard as we could not keep up with the watering required.

I am not sure how these guys ever got A grades when they don't even show up for scheduled appointment to provide an estimate. Randy set a date/time with my wife to provide an estimate but didn't show and didn't have the courtesy to even call. In fact we have never heard back from Randy so we moved on. If Randy can't show up for an estimate cannot believe work performed would be any better. Totally unprofessional!!

Excellent job. Randy provided recommendations and advice on what was possible in our back yard. Helped with design and product choices. Provided timely cost estimate. Actual installation crew was friendly, hard working, and very skilled. Answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had. We are very pleased with the planning, installation, and final result.

The quality of work is great. The job was much more difficult of an install than Randy or I thought it would be. Randy and his crew finished the job for the original quote even with the added work.

We called them and they returned our call. We made an appointment and the guy came absolutely on time and he gave us the price. We've set up a commitment to do our work. He looked at what we wanted done and he went back and called us promptly with a quotation which was the best one we had. We are now waiting for the community architectural people to review our request and we will be using him as soon as they finish that. The relationship that we've had with him so far is definitely up to par. We would refer him to any of our friends. We have already got his drawings and my wife is looking at them. He's a big guy. He would work efficiently.

First thing I can say is that Randy is very responsive and honest. I gave him a phone call on a weekday afternoon, he immediately came by to provide me with an estimate, then set me up with dates and times to pick out paver style, color and size. Second thing is he ensured a great experience by taking the time to give his expert advise on size, pattern style and opinion on sealing the pavers. We met up a few days on a Saturday after the estimate to pick out which paver I wanted, and by Monday he was out there ready to roll. It took 2-3 days for the pavers to be installed, including all work listed above. The final day was just any minor adjustments. He was very open to come back and adjust the paver pattern to accommodate any minor aesthetic concerns I had. Overall I would highly recommend Randy as I am sure you will be as content as I am. I would definitely request Randy again. Thank you!

Called Randy to see about installing pavers. He came by that evening and educated me a lot about designs, installation methods, etc. We agreed on a good price, and he started and fininshed within a few days. The final product was outstanding. Randy left me with a guarantee that if anything moved or looked out of place, just call him and he would fix it; no questions asked. I never had to call. They still look perfect to this date.

Came out for estimate but never heard back from them

Randy was always prompt and professional. Rates were very reasonable and quality of the work was exceptional! Would highly recommend them.

Randy Metzer is the owner of Randy and Rays. I met him one day while I was looking for a product to use on our patio. He spent over 30 minutes with me explaining different types of pavers and looks. He gave me his card and later that week he came to our house and gave us an estimate (free). At that time, Randy explained how he would lay the stone and the approximate timing. The stones were delivered and work began the following week. Randy does the work himself with the help of one assistant. Randy always arrived when he said he would and called me if there were any delays. The only problems we had was the weather. There were several days that it rained and work could not continue. When Randy was grouting the patio, it started to rain and the grout was ruined. Without any hesitation, Randy washed out the grout and completely started over when the weather permitted. We are very pleased with the end result. I did get several estimates and although Randy's estimate was not the lowest, I felt that he would do quality work which was the case.

I called Randy for an estimate on the paver job. He stopped by the following day, gave me some coaching on a layout, and we agreed on a price. He started later that week, installing and packing a solid base, pulling strings for alignment, and installing stones with precison cuts, when necessary. The job turned out excellent, and none of the pavers have moved or sunk, and the area drains perfectly. The job site was cleaned up every day during the install, and when they finished, there were no signs of construction left behind; just the nice look of the pavers. Give them a call, and you will be pleased with the outcome. You will also feel confident you are doing business with people of integrity.

Called Randy on 2/22/10. He agreed to meet on Friday 2/2/6/10. Emailed him to confirm. He never called back or responded to my email.

Very well. Randy did most of the work himself, and had one helper. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of the work is really good and it makes a huge difference in how our home looks. We are very pleased with hte work.

It didn't go anywhere, he never returned or presented a quote after calling a couple of times.

Randy first prepped the path areas by grading the soil and adding a base of (sand/rock). He hand selected the flagstone pieces and hand cut them to different sizes. He laid out the stones with an eye to blending the colors of the natural stone. The paths were leveled and mortared into place. After completing the construction of the back beds, he assisted us in choosing the appropriate plants for the light and soil conditions of our yard. Once the palm tree was delivered, he built a stone surround for it. Finally, he removed all the old sod and laid new sod throughout the backyard. The completed job was fantastic and is admired and commented upon to this day.
