Excellent. Picked up and dropped off as scheduled. Work quality was excellent.

The table had a large stain in the center when sent off and came back looking like new! After they did such an incredible job on the table I decided to send the chest.

The cedar chest was in great shape but the exterior had been painted. When the paint was removed they found my aunt’s initials inlaid on the front of the chest. I would have never known as she had passed away a few years ago. What a fabulous surprise and it is gorgeous!

They are very nice on the phone and in person. I did not think they did a good job. They just putty in the desk drawers and I thought they would work more with the laminate. They came back out to work on it but it still does not look right.

Both jobs turned out great! They are very professional. They pick up the furniture and let me pick out the materials. They send me samples to choose from. Bill was very good to work with.

The quality of work done on both the sofa and armoire was excellent. They were a little lax in communicating status of when items would be picked up and when they would be completed. Since the two items were not time critical for us, we would use them again as a result of the quality work performed.

The time frame from start to finish took a while. This may be normal depending on the type of work.

The entertainment center was made in the Philippines 30 years ago and is irreplaceable. My wife and I were both very pleased with the results. The upper portion is all spindles and shelves and had become very wobbly over the years. They did a great job firming it up and fixing some broken spindles. They did an excellent job with the refinishing. The beauty of the wood grain is more viable now than when it was new. They did the job within the time promised and were a pleasure to do business with. The price was a little higher than I expected but after seeing the results I think it was worth every penny.

It went extremely well! Owner, Bill Kennedy, came to my home to give me an estimate to strip & stain the piece. He came promptly, was very, very nice and was 'not' pushy. He showed me sample colors of wood stains and I was able to find a match to the same color wood in the bedroom. Yay!!! He looked at the piece & gave me a written estimate on the spot. He was willing to come back to get the cedar chest if I wanted since there was about a 2 week backlog. I let him take it. I felt the estimate sounded a little high, but he has a great reputation for refinishing and I wanted the piece to be perfect when it came back since it was in the family a long time. It came back GORGEOUS!!!!! Even more beautiful than I imagined it would look!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth the investment!!! Mr. Kennedy was true to his word on when it would be ready & how beautiful it will look. I would definitely use this company again!

JAX furniture workmanship is second to none, very highly recommended.

Finished product looked very good. Quality was very close to original item. The only issue I had was upon paying they would not accept a credit card. It wasn't a problem other than I wasn't told up front that they want cash or a check. I use one credit card for the points I accumulate which translates into free stuff, i.e., plane tickets, rent a cars etc. Other than that, I had a nice experience with this company. Very pleasant dealings with staff.

I received a quote within 2 days for reupholstering a kitchen bench from a picture I sent via e-mail. I was also directed to the website of a fabric company they use. I asked about some samples and got an e-mail back asking for my address so they could send me some. I received some fabric samples in the mail from their fabric supplier within a few days, which I was grateful for. However, Jax Furniture wanted me to drop off the bench pieces to them, but they were impossible to remove. They offered to have someone come out for their delivery fee ($50) + more if it was complicated. When I contacted a different upholsterer for a second quote, that company offered to come out to my house right away for no charge - which is what I really needed for my project.

JAX Furniture was able to reattach the broken leg as if it had never been broken. I was very pleased because it is a good piece of furniture that I've had for a long time. They also picked up the chair and returned it at the time promised. The price was very reasonable and it's good to know that there is a professional furniture repair business in Jacksonville, that is familiar with high quality furniture.

I was very pleased with their work and the way they treated us when they came in. They were very courteous and polite, and answered all of our questions. Explained everything they were going to do in detail.

My furniture didn't need any repairs, but he is also a furniture repair person. He refinished 5 pieces for me. The furniture is good quality, just dated. He did an amazing job! People think they just came off the showroom floor. He matched everything perfectly. Was on time, professional, friendly. Just a wonderful experience. I have referred him to 2 of our neighbors and they have had the same experience.

Took quite awhile. Looked pretty good when delivered. Still pretty but finish scrapes off more easily than I think it should.

I had Jax Furniture refinish my dresser and writing desk. Both are pieces from my grandparents and are quite old. I had the dresser done first and was amazed - it looked like new! I had the writing table done second, and again the work was exceptional.

I was pleasantly surprised by Mr. Kennedy's professionalism and honesty. He pointed out exactly what was needed and further pointed out potential problems with the piece. I am very grateful that he was truthful, and suggested I consider the pro's and con's prior to making a decision. I was so impressed that I called my daughter, who will be contacting him for re-covering!

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship on all furniture. I am delighted with the results. Jax Furniture Refinishing & Reupholstering is a company I completely endorse and will send other furniture to be so delicately handled. Although they are pricey, they certainly perform exemplary service. If you want your priceless antiques and heirlooms to hand down to future generations, have Jax Furniture restore them for you. I will never use anyone else.

The service was FANTASTIC and the items that they did fix were excellent. There were some communication issues, but they were very professional and corrected the issues with no arguments... VERY VERY happy with their service, customer support and quality of their work... I have already send them a second load of items to be repaired

Not cheap, but very fair for the quality of the work. Very professional and punctual, did a great job, obviously knows and loves furniture
