They never called me back. Horrible. That's rude and unprofessional. They could return phone calls and messages from prospective customers.

We were talking about being fair and honest, then I found out later that he would've come down on his price if I had "pushed" him to do so. Also there was little or no sealant installed around the vent pipes, other places to eliminate any chances of water damage - this was found by a home inspector a few years later.

The estimate was very fair, Mr, Wilbanks is very honest and professional.

During the thunderstorms I had damaged that occurred. I spoke with the office and was assured they would be out promptly. They were and fixed everything and seemed genuinely concerned that all my needs were met. Very helpful when dealing with my insurance company. Very satisfied.

My husband and I are so pleased with this company! They were so wonderful to work with. This project was a big deal financially, and they really went above and beyond for us. I am a worrier and Robert, the one who oversees operations, seemed to always be there for me. I'm sure I drove him crazy with my questions and worrying, but he was always so pleasant and patient. I would highly recommend this company and will never use another. They worked on the roof, but also interior work. Such a great experience!

Estimator was on time, very polite and was willing to take care of the very minor problem at that time for no charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I would not recommend them. They broke my gutter system that catches the leaves. It took me a year and a half of threats to fix it and when they did they really did not do it right. They did the roof just fine.

I began dealing with Scott Sorensen and Excel Roofing July 17, 2014 and have always felt that I was being treated fairly and honestly. Scott?s commitment to my needs and interests as a customer were always held very high and I had every confidence that I was respected and given open and honest answers to every situation. Due to the rains of Sunny Florida and Scott?s busy schedule our residential re-roofing began on August 20, 2014 and took the crew less than two day to complete the project, taking no shortcuts and including the replacement of a few pieces of bad lumber on the eaves and outlookers. I personally observed Excel Roofing following all the safely rules one would expect. They took great care removing the old product and carefully walking to the edge of the roof and tossing it into a trailer. They meticulously placed tarps on the ground and shrubbery to catch any falling debris while they also moved larger items out of the way so that it would not be damaged by falling debris. I also witnessed the crew spending time re-flashing each of our chimneys, adding sorely needed roof vents and taking time to head wall flash from the roof to the side of the house. When Excel Roofing completed the job, they removed all of the fallen debris and went over the area with a magnet to pick up any loose nails (I found two or three that were missed). The quality of the product, the service and workmanship of the installation crew and Marilyn of the administration staff are very much appreciated. I would like to recommend Scott and Excel Roofing Contractors,Inc for any of your roofing projects. I found them to be helpful, professional, timely and reasonably priced. They worked closely with me from the inception of the project through closeout. I especially appreciated their helping me select a roofing product that was both functional and that complements my home perfectly.

I love my new roof! At my first meeting (Estimate), with the owner Scott Sorensen I was presented with a folder that contained copies of his licensure and certificate of liability insurance. In addition to that, information on different roof surfaces and types so I could make a sound decision. Since replacing my roof was a first, I appreciated that he took the time to go over everything with me and was able to answer my questions without a sweat. Folks, I had a list of FAQs that I had memorized. LOL. His employees showed up on time, worked hard, and was professional at all times. I whole heartily recommend Excel Roofing Contractors, Inc if you want a job well done and timely.

The workmen arrived on time, worked until dusk and returned the second day as scheduled. They were very professional. They did an excellent job of clean-up both days. Proper use of drop clothes to protect landscape. These guys rate an A+++. Scott Sorensen was a pleasure to work with.

I needed a new roof and since this was the first time I had to get one, I went out and got about 8 different quotes. I had just about made up my mind on a company when one of my neighbors had just got a new roof. He told me the company who did the work was Excel and they were extremely happy with them. I called and Scott (the owner) came out to give me a quote. Of all the different quotes, Excel was not the lowest quote but it was very reasonable considering I had two layers of old shingles that needed to come off. Scott was very informative and took the time to answer any questions that I had during the process. His crew showed up on time (actually they were a little early which was better) and got busy. The foreman (George) made sure the perimeter was covered with tarp in an effort to keep my yard clean. Once George had the roof down to the wood, I was able to get up on roof and go over some areas of concern with him. I ended up having to replace a few sheets of plywood. George was more than accommodating. We had a little rain shower that came in and George and his crew did an excellent job getting the roof dried in and covered prior to the rain. It did not take long for George and his crew to complete the job. When the job was complete, a thorough cleanup was done. I am an attention to detail type of person so I really inspected the roof when the job was complete. There were a few small issues that I told Scott about (some nail heads high and chimney flashing needed fixed). Scott and George came back and fixed it all. They made sure I was 100% satisfied with everything. I now have a great looking roof and I am confident I have a great quality roof that will last me a long time. I would definitely use Excel roofing again.

Excel was very professional. They were very thorough upfront, especially with paperwork. They always had someone answering the phone and responding immediately. The work was quick and good quality. I would have liked a heads up on the additional repair work before it was performed, even though it was not completely unexpected.

Tear down of old shingles and tar paper. Replace rotten wood where found. Covered all stand pipes with lead sleeves (better than plastic). Roofing was two step process. Underlayment was black rubbery material with strong mastic (sticky stuff) on bottom and grey plastic on top. This adhered to the roof. Then the top layer of roofing material was rolled over the underlayment. The roofing material had the typical granular colored material on top of this rubber like material with a mastic on the bottom. This made a strong bond with the bottom layer. They replaced the trim around the edges and replaced flashing where needed. My ridge vent was replaced by goose neck vents (because of the low pitch of my roof). All of the tear-down waste was hauled away and the nails were picked up with a strong magnet. The pitch on my roof was too low for standard shingles. This type of roofing provides better run-off of water. As a bonus, I liked that this type of roofing did not require nails going into the roof.

Everything went exceptionally smooth, especially being that there was intermittent showers both days they worked. Did an excellent job keeping the site clean both days. Scott kept us informed before and during the process of what to expect. Extremely satisfied with our experience with Excel and the final product, our new roof!

I felt like they did an excellent job from begining to the end. The started when they said they would start and finished the same way. The workers were nice and polite. The did a great job of cleaning up behind themselves too!

He is pretty informative as far as what the services were and what it cost.

The quality of the work was exceptional and the price was very competitive and reasoneable. There were obstacles when tearing off the old roof that were encountered, but Scott and his team had the answers and methods to do the proper repairs and also being fair about any additional costs to the project. Also in regard to cleanup, they cleaned up constantly during the project. And when they were done they did an exceptional job at the final cleanup. They were great to work with, informative and we had some fun. i would use Excel again, it would be my first stop for any roofing project in the future.

I live in Virgina and inheirited my mother's house in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Using e-mail I competed 4 contractors to do the reroofing work necessary. Excel won the competion with the best price and a completion date that fit my schedule. I met Scott on Monday and he walked me through all the paperwork and permits required to start the next day. At the end of a long day the work was all but done. By Wed morning a final inspection was conducted with Scott and everything was completed to meet his high standards.
