I was taking care of this for a client. I received the invoice from the company. I then verified with the company to confirm the amount of the bill was for all the work that was done. They confirm the $915.50 was for all the work was done. This was promptly paid for. 4 months later I am contacted by their billing department that additional work was done at the unit for $102.00. I asked the company to send me the invoice since I have never seen an invoice for any other work and they had stated that the previous invoice has covered everything. I reviewed the invoice and it shows that the work was done 6 days later than the original work. I called back the company and told them that work was never done at this unit. No access was granted for the plumber to even come back to the unit 6 days later. And since it is a condo complex with 141 units it might of been at a different unit they did the work for. They said they would check with the service manager and get back to me. I never heard back from them so I assumed it was taken care of. 2 months later I have a notice from their collection agent for this work that was never done. Very poor communication and management on their part. I am waiting to talk to their billing department again to see why I am still be charged for work that was not done on this unit. I would suggest anyone to avoid the hassles and mis-billing of this company.
Description of Work: I had $915.50 of plumbing work done for a client. It was fixing a sink stopper, flapper in the toilet, leaking shower head and a spinning shower handle and replacing a faucet.

We definitely dropped the ball on this one... Two legitimate invoices were generated (different services were performed on different days...). The first invoice was paid promptly. Our client had legitimate questions about the validity of the second invoice. Unfortunately, my team failed to provide the service and responsiveness that we should have. I regret the way my company handled this. Gary D. Gray President

Called and was told $98 for the first hour then $26 for every 15 minutes after. When the technician arrived, he worked for 50 minutes and spent 30 minutes waiting for the glue to dry and writing up my bill. Total bill was $245 (After $20 coupon from Angie's list) to change the hot and cold valves in the laundry room. His explanation was that the price quoted on the phone did not include parts ($85) and he had to charge me for the time he was on the job even if he was waiting 15 minutes for the glue to dry and another 15 minutes writing up my bill. How is it fair to pay someone $52 to write me a bill and wait for glue to dry? Not to mention, his pricing was different than what was said on the phone. Never again, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.

They told us one thing and it ended up being more, but that's probably wasn't their fault maybe. They got it done quickly. Responsiveness, they were very good. I thunk they were professional.
Description of Work: We got David Gray Heating and Air. We just had our water heater replaced a couple of weeks ago at the same time and some plumbing work. It all happened at the same time. The water heater flooded, the shower also was leaking from upstairs to downstairs and they replaced some faucet, and also another faucet that was leaking.

Gianni was the sales person and the main installer was Mike. I cannot tell you how happy I am with both the work performed as well as their responsiveness and professionalism. Gianni was prompt with setting up a time for a quote, showed up and did a quick turn around on the quote. The quote was in-line with others that I received and a cheaper than some. Mike and the whole install team were great. Not only professional but went the extra mile to get the work done in a timely and reasonable manner. No cost overruns, fixed price. Only changes were as a result of me changing my mind. Having dealt with many plumbers over the years it is nice to meet a team that: 1.) is responsive, reasonable in cost, gets the work done timely, and was a pleasure to work with. I will absolutely use David Grey in the future. I can safely say that it was a pleasure to work with them.
Description of Work: I hired David Grey Plumbing in November, 2016 to perform a large re-plumbing job on a new home that we are renovating. It included 3 1/2 baths as well as all outside faucets and other fixtures, e.g. laundry and kitchen. They also installed a new hybrid water heater and water softener as well. I received several other bids from other plumbers to do the work.

They charged too much. My kitchen faucet had a leaking hose for a couple of days and I saw a DG service vehicle in my neighbor's driveway yesterday morning so I called DGto ask the service person to come over and take a look of my faucet when he was done. They were quite responsive and the plumber came over. He said the problem was the leaking hose and it was not possible to replace the hose and we had to have a new faucet installed (according to the faucet manufacturer it is possible to replace the hose). He spent about 5 minutes in our house and charged $98 (according to their "GPS" positioning the plumber spent 30 minute in our house, just to find that leak that I could see it myself?) I understand their policy is $98 for the first 45 minutes. Considering the plumber did not have to travel and spent so little time on the job, I asked for a discount but was turned down, by various levels of the company. This rigid way of doing business does not appeal to me at all.

Don A. diagnosed the problem by locating the leak in the hose connection. He installed a new faucet after discussing the various options. He was highly skilled, very personable, and pleasant. In addition, the work area was left spotless. We are grateful to Don A. and David Gray Plumbing for making this repair so efficient.

Note: I have tried to post this review when this occurred but Angies list kept giving me an error when I did before, hopefully it will go through now. I called David Gray plumbing based on the referral of several reputable people. I received the call to meet the plumbers on the jobsite to cut a water pipe that was coming up from the floor and needed it cut level. When I met the first crew on the jobsite, they looked around and found the water cutoff. Then the plumber started telling me how hard the job is going to be, how he has to chip away concrete and cut the pipe. Then he told me that I “need to call the property manager and have them call the office to tell them it’s ok for them to shut the water off”. I asked why I was not told to get this information BEFORE driving out to meet them. He had no answer, just told me they needed to wait for the approval and would come back then. So we both left. The next day a different set of plumbers show up and they were looking for the water cutoff. I told them the name of the other plumber that found the water shut off and he called him. This is where the current plumbers attitude changed, his attitude towards the job was sloppy. The pipe that I wanted level was ¾” high above the floor. When I brought this up to the helper, he said “no, it’s only a ¼ inch higher and the job was done. The real problem happened when I went to pay the bill. Originally, I was told the bill was going to be $98. When I went to the truck, the main plumber was writing the bill for $198. When I asked why, he said that I had to pay the plumber who came out the day before. When I explained that the plumber did not do any work, he tells me “The other plumber told me that you (me) drove off before they could do the work”. I really could not believe what I was hearing. I then got on the phone with the office, explained how I was referred to them by one of David Gray’s friend and after investigation told me to tell the plumber to take the charge off the bill. This apparently upset the current plumber, so he proceeded to subtract the amount the office told him to take off ($88) but then ADDED another charge to jack the bill back up. Yes, you read that right. Not only did this plumber create a charge, he proceeded to lecture me. He told me “I was going to give you a break, but since you went and called the office – I’m going to charge you for 2 people instead of 1!” My jaw was dropped. He continued “I heard you talking on the phone saying that you were referred by people that know David Gray, I’m here to tell you that this is a BUSINESS and is not personal.” He also said that the plumber who came out the day earlier told him that I “Drove off before they could do the work” and said “Somebody going to pay and one way or another, it’s getting paid!” WHAT?! Now I have one plumber hustling me for money and another one that is lying on an issue that is easily proved wrong. Meanwhile, the plumber who did the work is continuing to repeat this “it’s business not personal” mantra for a while longer. The only other times I have heard “it’s business not personal” from a large man was a recent Suge Knight documentary. I felt uneasy so I just kept quiet and waited for him to charge my card so I could leave. I did call office when I left and talked to someone who identified himself as “third in command” and said that he would correct my bill – as of yet, I have not been credited. In ending, I don’t know what to say. As a business owner myself, I know that we cannot control how our employees act in the field – but we still have to own up to it. I felt I was given sub-par work, got lied to, lectured and was overcharged for it. As for why this employee was so personally upset with me it is beyond my comprehension. As for a resolution, I only want what should have been correctly charged. The employee told me $98 plus the cost of the shark bite – if you could calculate that cost and credit the rest, that will be fine. I do not even want the job corrected, I don’t even feel comfortable having any of the david gray plumbers to come out and do any more work for me.
Description of Work: Water line capped off level to the floor. Installed 1 Sharkbite.

When they installed the new screen room and it was extended they had to cut that pipe off so they could extend the screen room over, which meant that the original faucet had to go. So, they came out and they put in the faucet for me on the back so that I could water my plants.
