Initial contact at 7:00 AM with 24 hour service provider. Since I had already shut off water at main, I requested that they call me back when they opened at 8:00 rather than use their "24 hour, emergency service". When I did not hear anything by 8:30, I called again and was told they would have a service tech. out as soon as they finished their first call of the morning. Got a call back at 1:00 PM to verify that I was available and that the tech. was on the way. Dominic showed up at 1:30 and quickly assessed the problem and went right to work. Job was complete within 30 minutes. He was also nice enough to give me $10 off for a coupon they have in the phonebook (that I was unaware of). Dominic was professional, polite and very efficient.

I was pretty pleased with them. They were punctual, professional and responsive. Their price was right and the workers were clean. They cleaned up well after themselves.

Same day service, very affordable. Fixed the problem.

I called David Gray Plumbing after reading the many positive comments from others. I recently had granite countertop with undermount sinks installed. The existing drain connections did not fit the new sinks, requiring a professional plumber to make the connections. Jerry arrived as expected and, after I showed him what was needed, he gave me a brief overview of what he would do and immediately went to work. A little more than an hour later Jerry was done. Both connections were made to perfection; exactly what I envisioned and wanted. The cost was not the lowest but definitely reasonable, especially in light of the professional and quality workmanship. I plan to use this company again for upcoming plumbing projects.

Two men arrived and when told what the job consisted of, replied "Is that all? You'll have to give us more to do than that' in a very humourous way. They accomplished the task in quick order. They were here about 30 min. We are very pleased and will call David Gray for any further plumbing problems.

Overall it was a professional, pleasant experience and I would use David Gray again.

Very good work. Prompt and professional. They did have to return to reinstall the shower valve, but did so right away! We were very happy with the work done and will definitely use them again!

I called David Gray to replace the tub and shower valves in my guest bathroom during renovation. I previously used David Gray to replace the tub valves in my master bathroom - for that job, I had someone come out and give a written estimate first before setting up an appointment for service, and the final bill matched the estimate. This time, I called and had someone come out to do the work without first asking for a written estimate. When the plumber arrived and I explained the job, he said it would take a couple hours and cost between $160-$180. The job took almost 3 hours and cost $335. When I questioned the cost, he said it took longer than expected and he didn't account for the cost of the parts, which added about $100. The work seems fine but I will shop around for a different plumber next time.

They responded one hour after I called them and charged exactly what they quoted me on the phone. Frank was very professional and efficient. The job took him about half an hour and Iwill use them again if necessary.

Great. One phone call, a site visit from David Gray, and our problem was resolved. Their availability was great and easy to coordinate.

Everything works fine. However, they told me they could get the work done in a few hours but it took approximately two hours longer then they stated. There were two plumbers and I thought they worked at a slow pace. You pay by hour with this company, which made my bill much more than estimated. After speaking with the manger, he returned the bill to the estimated amount. The manager was very professional and had great customer service.

After 10 years (that's right, TEN years) of complaining to my Sears techs (long term sears maintenance contracts on all appliances) that we not only had accumulations of white crumbly specs clogging all of our hot water faucets/shower heads/washer, on both sides of the house (2 hot water heaters), AND having the additional symptom of running out of hot water quickly, I finally gave up on Sears solving it. Terry from DG Plumbing was here weeks ago to install the 'easywater' system (see my report on that from Feb 2010) and at that time, I spoke to him about this long-term problem. Terry identifed it immediately as a heater 'dip tube deterioration' problem...which Sears had categorically denied when I had suggested it years earlier based on the symptoms. Armed with that new insight, I had a Sears tech come out to evaluate this under my contract, and he agreed it was worth trying to replace the dip tubes but said that the contract would not cover the plumber required to do the job...I had to get my own (!!!). So, I called DG Plumbing and asked for Terry again. He came right over the next morning, replaced the dip tubes (he found that the old tubes were just about gone, only 1-2" long now, down from the original over 4' long tubes!)...and VOILA! We had wonderful hot water that night, lasting as long as we wanted it, as it hadn't been in a decade or so. Not only that, but I purged the hot water lines of the clogging material by running the hot water full out with filters removed, and the clogging is almost gone as well...one more filter clearing should get rid of all of it. Outstanding job, Terry...accurate diagnosis is 90% of the job, and you nailed it. A little bit pricey, but hot water on demand - without clogging and running out in 5 minutes - is worth quite a lot in this household. I've already recommended you to another couple down the block. Oh - one update - Sears Blue Ribbon Dept is going to reimburse me the $144 since their techs missed this problem for so many years. All is well.

David Gray Plumbing completed the job wonderfully after a prior plumber accepted job of installing new hardware in two bathrooms and then stopped when he said he could not do the shower controllers. David Gray Plumbing's serviceman said initially that installation of the two controllers may involve going through wall in both bathrooms because of the small opening, having to cut tile to make larger hole. We were prepared to have to fix not only the drywall but also the tile. Not only was he able to accomplish the installation without going through the wall, but he was able to cut the tile without breakage/chipping, and the fixtures and caulking look like something in a magazine because they look so good. He also fixed a prior reversed hot-cold water controller issue in one bathroom. He originally bid $600, but job came in at about $525. He did a GREAT job. He was a master at his craft. I will call no one other than David Gray Plumbing for my future plumbing needs.

System was installed by Terry, who was neat, professional and easy to converse with. Work was clean when finished, installation was problem-free. System works (so far) as advertised. Price was reasonable. Thanks guys, I'll call you again for my next oddball project !

We called them at 9:30 a.m. to report what we assumed to be a leak under our kitchen floor. Operator said they had cut off work for the day, but would check to see if they could still get us. She came back and said they would come and would call 30 minutes before. Operator called back at 10:30 and said they were on their way, and they arrived about 10:45. They checked it out, found out where the leak was, gave me a minimum price estimate for 4 hours, fixed the problem, cleaned up, and were on their way in 1 1/2 hours! I, also, got to ask several questions, and they were very helpful and answered anything I needed to know. The actual technicians that came out were Gavin & Scott, and I would ask for them again, if I could get them.

Called David Gray Plumbing and they scheduled an immediate service - showed up promptly - worked quickly - and charged a fair amount. I am very happy with their service and will utilize again in the future.

The technician came quickly and repaired the problem without any incident. The price was high, but it was an emergency call early-ish on Sunday morning (7 am) and so not unexpected. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone else, and if I do have another similar problem (which I certainly hope I don't), then I would use them again.

We have used David Gray Plumbing twice with great experiences both times. They are punctual, thorough and professional. As far as the price goes, I didn't get seperate bids because both experiences were for leaks that needed fixed immediately; in general I think plumbing is too expensive, but they did a great job.

David Gray Plumbers were professional, efficient, and understanding of my frustrations after I had hired another plumber from Angie's List to do a minor job. They had to correct the mistakes of the first plumber before they could proceed. It cost me additional time and money, and I have learned my lesson to stick with a sure thing, David Gray Plumbing. The only reason I chose the first plumber, was because of the Angie's List rating and they offered a coupon. That coupon cost me not only extra money, but time and frustration. The first plumber has yet to apologize or offer an explanation.

The plumbing service is always very thorough. He is very honest and helpful. I like that they have a coupon for their service in the phonebook. This last time there was a mistake with the appointment so they were not timely.

He came out and fixed the fitting in about 20 minutes. It was a very simple job but he did it thoroughly and professionally nonetheless. The charge was $85 per hour with a one hour minimum for a one man team, plus $10 for parts that I was told would be "$3-$4" over the phone.

The kitchen sink leaked. There was water under the sink from a slow leak. The young man came right out and discovered the disposal had not been properly installed. It was hanging by a screw and if used more, could have fallen off unto the floor of the cabinet. Imagine it falling while being used! Thank goodness he found the problem. He secured the disposal to the sink and locked it in place. We were very happy! Excellent service.

He quoted us a price over the phone and stuck to it. Reasonable and less than half the price of the next highest rated plumber (especially for a weekend night call). It was a shame that the problem wasn't fixed completely the first time, but the plumber was courtious, did not track dirt into the house, and gave us a $10 off phone book coupon without our asking.

Unclogged 2 different sinks that were connected. Discovered the connection was the problem.

Called dispatcher to book appointment. First experience went very well. Dispatcher was very professional and recorded all of my information. Second dispatcher, which I called the following day to give my credit card info to, had no idea what I was talking about. Third dispatcher, which I was actually able to give my credit card info to was okay, but not nearly as professional as the first. Fourth dispatcher, which called me the day of the job to let me know the team was on the way, had none of the information recorded by the first, so I had to start all over. Then the plumber calls me and he has none of the information I gave the two dispatchers, so I started again. This is an apartment that I lease, and was unoccupied. Plus, I could not be present during the repair. So, it was very important that I get information to the plumber regarding how to gain access to the apartment and what the nature of the problem was. I had to rely on the dispatcher getting it right, and they failed miserably in that regard. I had to tell the full story three times in the course of getting info to the plumber. The work done was of a high quality. Neat and efficient. The lead plumber kept me posted throughout the day. There were no surprises. He let me know what issues I might have in the future.
