Chase Heating and Air Conditioning

On this occasion, I took advantage of an excellent price offer via Groupon, but I have used Chase Air for several years to service or replace air conditioning equipment at rental properties in the Jacksonville area. I have been completely satisfied with Chase. They arrive on time, do the job right and if they find a problem during servicing, they fully explain the issue, any alternatives and their recommendations. Charles and his staff have always evidenced a high standard of customer service, and this visit was no exception.

From beginning to end, everyone involved was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. All appointments were kept on time. Owner Charles helped me pick the correct system for my home (previous system was larger than needed). Installers were very professional and capable, down to the young man who had to crawl around in my attic and inspect and seal all the existing duct work. Have had the system for over a year now without any problems. Excellent company and I would highly recommend them.

Tech arrived on time and started job. Anytime in home wore shoe covers. Inside and outside units were serviced/cleaned. Had to have the company return for a re-do cleaning. Debris and dirt was left on the outside unit. This is the 2nd year I have used Chase and last year I received a much better service then this time.

The worker arrived on time, wore the shoe protection (I appreciated this, we vacuum the floor twice a week). I set up a ladder for him to access the attic. He was efficient, and went about his job with confidence. If they have this deal next year, I will likely purchase it.

The company was excellent, timely, and professional. Check and cleaned the entire system.

Serviced our AC unit - cleaned coils - checked everything - did not try to upcharge me on anything else - very professional - appreciate how they wear paper booties on my carpet and floor areas. I have used Chase in the past and def will be my first point of contact for AC issues.

It went well. There wasn't too much that they had to do. They checked it out and see if it was working fine. They changed a filter for me. It went okay. They made sure everything is okay.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. The technician came, he did what he was supposed to do, and everything was fine. He was very friendly and did a good job. I thought he was exceptionally good at trying to keep his feet covered and not tracking any dirt. He seemed to be very professional.

Work went very well and very please with promptness of tech...and how he bent over backwards to get to right location.

My husband was very pleased. The service man took time to do a wonderful job. He always wore his booties when he came in from the outside - which I appreciate because we have new carpet! He did not try to talk us into anything extra. He told us our system was still in good shape. We definitely would use them again!

I am fairly new to learning about the system in my home, so the customer service was great for that. They were helpful, knowledgeable and informative with all of my questions and concerns; over the phone and in person. At the time of service, they were fast and efficient. Considering all that was done, they were cost-effective. We are pleased with the service and will be using this company for our heating and air conditioning needs in the future.

If I could give an A+ in every category I would. We were extremely pleased with Chase. We needed a new dryer vent installed and a new configuration. I called Chase Thursday afternoon, they sent a technician out Friday morning for an estimate and went ahead and did the work that day. He installed a new vent going from the dryer, through the crawl space and out the back of the house. The service was exceptional and the technician worked very hard to ensure everything was right. The dryer is working great and now drying clothes in a normal amount of time (before it was taking 4-6 hours to dry a load). We will definitely be using Chase in the future!

Everything went as planned, Contractor arrived on time, removed old unit and installed new. Completed in one day as promised. Unit has been in operation for almost one year with out any issues

Before purchasing the $45 AC tune up deal on Angie's list, I called to see if it included cleaning the AC coils. They informed me it did. Once the Serviceman was out he checked over everything and said it all looked good. I asked him about cleaning the interior and exterior coils. He said he would clean the exterior. But it turned out that "cleaning" the exterior coils, just involved hosing them off with a spray nozzle. Which I could of easily done. When we got to the interior coils, they actually looked very clean. But I asked if he was still going to spray coil cleaner on them. He told me they normally removed the whole coil to clean them. I was not expecting them to do that. Just to do them chemical cleaning. However he did no cleaning on the interior coils. I was not very upset since they looked very clean, but still felt I did not get what I paid for. I am glad to know that my system is in full working order. But wish they had been clear when I asked about the cleaning on the phone.

WOW!!!! I was rfeally pleased with the service from Charles. He completly cleaned the air handler and outside unit. He tested all levels for output. He was very generous with his knowledge and expertise. He found nothing that would indicate mold of any kind and the corrosion that was there was from a normal unit of this age. I would highly recommend Chase Aire to anyone and as a fact already have. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

He gave me some helpful tips and was very friendly. He seemed to be really knowledgeable and I would continue to use him in the future.

Originally purchased the heating and tune up special. They came out and did what they said they would do. While they were there, we advised the heat pump blew extremely cold air both on start up and cool down of the heat. The contractor stated the thermostat was bad and replaced it for $202. Same problems continued after the repair. Called that Saturday and was advised that was normal. 40 degree air coming out the registers in a heat mode is not normal. Called that Monday and they stated the heat strips were bad, our 2010 heat pump was no longer manufactured, and OEM were not available. therefore it would not be covered by my 10 year warranty. Aftermarket parts and labor was well over $300. Found it hard to believe the previous statements and contacted an authorized dealer. Another contractor came out a few days later and found out the emergency heat pump was wired incorrectly. Spoke to Mr. Terrizi, the owner of Chase who was very empathetic and apologetic for the misdiagnosis and made amends. All of Chase's employees were very prompt and professional. Unfortunately, we were looking to be a long time customer, but it was not meant to be.

Very friendly service tech. Inspected and cleaned my furnace and outside AC unit. Also cleaned the element to ignite my gas furnace which wasn't operating correctly. Very satisfied with this company and technician....

I left a voice mail to arrange service and Derek promptly returned my call. He was very professional and I requested the Super Tuneup service advertised and discounted from the coupon found on Angie's List. He also cut the service call price in half for the diagnosis of the downstairs faulty A/C since I was scheduling two jobs in one. Charles, the owner, arrived about 30 min. late but Chase called me in advance to let me know that Charles was running late. That was good enough for me as it doesn't take much to make a phone call but so many service providers do not bother. I wasn't surprised to see the owner as it was a popular vacation week and it is good to see he works in the trenches once in a while at least. Charles talked to me in my language when describing what he was going to do and what he found. I was very comfortable with him in my house and trusted him. He also shared with me that if I wanted to see what he was doing I was welcome to. That was a welcome invitation that I used only for a portion of the time where I had questions on a component. The only area of improvement I think Chase could have made is improving their documentation on their process. Chase's web site provides an extensive list of Super Tuneup items that would be completed and because a checklist was not used by Charles to complete the Super Tuneup I suspect not all items were completed. Upon completion of the job reviewing the work order items individually in a checksheet format will secure that all Chase employess are consistently completing all items and provide a higher level of professionalism in the customers view. Because I trusted Charles after conversing with him I also trusted that if not all items were completed certainly the most important items were. Also, I was appreciative his advice and he did not pressure me for further sales. Regarding my downstairs unit I will of course be receiving a competitive quote to replace the system but Chase is on my list as a possible vendor for this work since I was happy with their service.

In August Chase installed a new thermostat. It worked fine. In November we could not get the heat to come on, called Chase they came out and decided it was a faulty thermostat. They replaced it and didn't even charge a svce. call. I realize there was probably a warrant on the thermostat, but it had been 4 months, it was probably only good for 90 days. Anyway this company has been the best I have dealt with since moving to Jacksonville in 99.

End product installed very well. Showed me work completed and use of digital thermostat. Completed in one day.
