Description of Work: I am sorry - but I just don't remember what this involved - exactly. I believe it was the washing maching - we seemed to be having a run of bad luck when it came to things breaking down at our house! I know the issue was cleared and the gentleman was very competent and very professional. Other then that I can't tell you the cost of anything else. I will give an A grade because if it were not great service or something when awfully wrong I would remember it more so.

Description of Work: I called Advanced Appliance because my dryer was making a screeching noise. The office scheduled an appointment for the next day after 12 noon. At 11:30 am I was contacted informing me the technician would be at my house within 30 minutes. He was. The problem was immediately diagnosed & the repair was explained to me & how much it would cost. I asked if it was worth doing considering the dryer is 14+ years old. The technician said yes. The repair was made & works just fine. Vance & his son were very professional & personable. Their truck was spotless & well marked. I would recommend Advanced Appliance Repair & would use them again without hesitation.

Description of Work: Our freezer (& even the inside of the fridge) suddenly seemed to be compromised--the temperature was much higher than 32 degrees, & I'd already had another appliance repair service company take a look. When they came out here, the problem didn't seem as bad, so I paid them $70, & we agreed that to be on the safe side, they would come back out in a couple of weeks & replace the circuit board. When the problem worsened again, I canceled that appointment, since they couldn't give me anything earlier than 2-3 weeks later, & that's when I called Advanced Appliance Repair in desperation. They squeezed me into their schedule that afternoon, agreed that the circuit board should be replaced, & scheduled me for the next day, by which time they would have the part. Initially, that seemed to fix the problem, but about 3 days later, both the freezer & the inside of the fridge were warming up again, as I told the repairman when he called to find out whether the problem had disappeared. When I said it was starting all over again, he came out the next day & figured out that another part (a relay switch?) relating to temperature regulation would also need to be replaced--not only did he install a new one, which totally fixed the problem, but he also did it without charging me anything more, either for the part or the labor. You just can't beat that kind of excellent, attentive customer service!

Description of Work: Service call to determine whether repairs to a fridge would be possible. Turns out it was the compressor and they told me they could fix, but cost would be close to new fridge so we opted for the new fridge. Evaluation completed, but no mechanical work. Would use again.

Description of Work: Our fairly new Maytag washer had a leaky seal that required the replacement of a new ball bearing/axle kit. (The machine was incredibly loud during its spin cycle). We called the Maytag repair service # and Advanced Appliance arrived serving as the local authorized repair company. The machine is less than 4 yrs old so we weren't happy having to spend $250 to fix a brand name machine so soon ($68 initial visit cost...add'l payment of $183 for labor and cost of the repair parts). This explains our rating of "B" for price. We were given an honest assessment of our machine's condition, we were told it didn't need to be fixed right away, and Advanced Appliance came back as soon as promised once we decided to fix the machine. The professional worked cleanly (respected our home with blankets and care) and efficiently. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Craig quickly assessed my issue; advised it was repairable but an exceptionally expensive Maytag electronic control board that needed replacement. It was his opinion that due to the age of the machine vs. repair costs, my money would be better spent on a new machine. I can appreciate that kind of candor and was readily prepared to pay for that professional assessment.
