I was first contacted by Carrie almost as soon as I sent an email to Appliance Repair Services. From then on she did a great job of keeping me updated on the repair. The service person was Jason who did an outstanding job in fixing our microwave oven despite an extremely poor design flaw in our Maytag combination oven/microwave. The problem was not apparent and Jason went out of his way to check every possibility starting with the least expensive. It took a few appointments in which Jason was always on time and was good about calling me ahead of time. Equally important, his charge to fix the appliance was very reasonable and found replacement parts that were better than the manufacturer’s and were less expensive. I will definitely use this company again for any appliance problems we have.

The GOOD: So nice to call a company and get a person answering the phone on the first or second ring and it was a HUMAN. The BETTER: I told them it was urgent they were here in two hours. The BEST: I told them I thought it was the heating element, they picked one up from parts supply warehouse on the way got here. Told me it was NOT the heating element (save your money) call an electrician, it is the outlet. BOOM, mic drop... Further referred me to a reputable electrician who ALSO came out same day. Jason gave me a magnet business card I put on the side of our washer... DEFINITELY the ONLY appliance repair shop I will call for the foreseeable future. P.S. They do not offer discounts, but they also dont give BS and they dont charge you for things you dont need. Best Angie referral EVER!

I have used Appliance Repair multiple times. Each time, I have been completely satisfied with the repair. Hence, I have used Appliance Repair many times over the years and will continue to use them.

I was charged a very reasonable service fee and I finally found a guy a could trust and will call again.

Gentlemen called in advance, came on time, were thoroughly helpful and pleasant. Also assisted at no charge in leveling my refrigerator to help eliminate vibration sound. Completly Recommend,

I called several companies who could not get out to my house for a couple of days. Even though they gave me an appointment for the next day (early morning), they were able to work me into their schedule and saved me from having a ton of spoiled food. as military stationed in San Diego I use angies list to help manage my property. I contacted the provider via Angies list on the weekend. The provider responded first thing Monday morning and the problem was resolved by Tuesday afternoon. Vance was very prompt and professional. Contacted the tenants and immediately contacted me. Thank you. Would definitely use again.

Vance is terrific.came on a Saturday morning and fixed our problem in a jiffy! We'll call him again.

According to the young woman answering the phone, this contractor will ONLY work on merchandise that they themselves have sold and installed. Booooo! At the very least, this fact should be very clearly stated on the page. But what a pathetic way to run a business!!

The tech assured us that he would return at no charge if the problem was not cleared up by the recommended action.

Ice maker was not making ice. Called on a Friday and scheduled an appointment for Monday 9-12. Technician called ahead 30 minutes and showed up in the agreed upon time frame. Diagnosed in 5 minutes the the ice maker needed to be replaced. He had one on the truck and it was installed in about 5 minutes. Was also not getting water from the side door dispenser. He diagnosed a bad water valve and offered to replace for the price of the part only, no labor. I declined, as I can live without the water being dispensed, but I did appreciate the offer. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The repairman was called about a clothes washer that seemed to have water supply problems. When he arrived he was gruff and asked a few questions. Acted rather frustrated about the fact that there seemed to be multiple problems indicated. Looked at the valves leading to the washer and immediately blamed them. Cleaned the intake screens and declared that the valves needed to be replaced. Since we had recently had a repipe we then called the original plumbing company and they came out and declared the valves fine. I opened the intake screens and noticed that the original repairman scraped them but did not remove the precipitate from the screens. A novice should know that turbulence in the intake would redistribute the precipitate. After removing the screens and cleaning them, the washer now works better. So, I paid someone to be rude, and do an inadequate job, and bill me for it. yippee.

I called on a Saturday afternoon, and Vance and Tim were here within half an hour! They had the needed parts on the truck, replaced the part quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and were very pleasant and professional. As they were leaving, they noticed that the dryer vent on the roof was completely plugged with lint, so I hired them to also clean the dryer and the vent, which they did on the spot. While working on the dryer, they noticed that the washer and dryer doors face in the wrong (opposite) directions, and at no charge, they reversed and re-connected the two machines, which involved installing a longer dryer vent hose. All in all, they went above and beyond expectations, and solved three problems promptly and professionally!

Person who answered the phone told me they don't do "traditional billing" any more and that I would need to fax them my credit card number, driver's license, and a note authorizing them to charge my card. This was ALL before a service call. I am not sure what problems they have had with "traditional billing" but it is ridiculous to think someone would freely fax credit card information and a copy of a driver's license to a company ahead of a scheduled visit.

Unfortunately, because Jason didn't do any repair work, the money we paid to Angie's List was wasted since it didn't include the service charge. We had to pay the full show-up cost only to learn it wasn't worth repairing the appliance. Jason was entirely professional and courteous, and we would not hesitate to call him for future issues. We will also be more careful about reading the fine print on future Angie's List Big Deals!

When I called Advanced Appliance, Vance he knew from my description exactly what needed to be done. He asked for the model number and arrived with a repair part that would be needed and told me what fee would be charged. The job was completed on site in one hour. Several other large appliance repair company reps I had contacted were vague and did not display the knowledge that Vance (Advanced Appliance) did.

Our GE Monogram refrigerator/freezer had significant ice build-up on the refrig. side. I call AAR and Vance was able to come by the next day. He quickly identified the problem, unfortunately it was not a 'fixable problem', just old age related condensation. Vance and his partner were very professional and polite and I will definitely call them again.

I had called Sears out first and that's what they recommended. I wanted a second opinion and called Advanced. Now I want to see what they have to say about the dishwasher because Sears gave it up for dead too. I'm pleased with their service.

The repairs required two visits, both were on Saturday which worked great for us. The first visit they diagnosed the problem and identified the parts that needed to be ordered. The second visit they brought the parts and installed them. Between the two visits they spent nearly 6 hours working, 2 hours of that time was them figuring out the a-typical refrigerator and pulling the beast out of the cabinets (built-in refrigerator). The parts cost just over $300, the rest was labor which equates to about $100/hr which I find to be quite expensive. Other than the cost and time taken, they were top notch.

arrived same day and fixed the problem within 30 mins. they had the replacement parts with them and cleaned the vent as well. great experience and will use again. highly recommended!!

Jason came out and determined the problem but didn't have the part(drain pump) with him. Came back out the next day, first thing in the morning, and had the washing machine running in less than 30 minutes.

joined your plan,called advance appliance repair to check and diagnose problem on refg. ,i rent this place and live in another town ,they would not accept payment from credit card on phone, no other way to pay for service losey set up ,they had better shape up or get ready to go out of business

I notice on Saturday my refrigerator wasn't cooling but the freezer was working. I called Advanced on Monday and was told that someone could be at my house between 1pm and 4pm. I was at work and needed a fifteen minute window to get to the house. At 1:30 Jason called and we met at the house at the same time. Very polite explaining as he goes what he thinks the problem might be. He took the panel from the inside and you could see the problem. Not defrosting. Needed a couple parts, he didn't have one of the parts with him. He manually defrosted the freezer and that held me over until the next day. He was back on Tuesday quickly finished the job. I will definitely not hesitate to call again. Highly Recommend!

Excellent & fast service. Jason went over and beyond the call of duty.
