Bob showed up promptly, diagnosed the problems and resolved them within 20 minutes. Only needed to charge the flat visit rate. Bob has had over 20 years, most with the Sears organization and on all brands of appliances. He is cheerful, prompt, knows exactly what he is doing and gets it fixed. All that I could ask for.

Bob was great, after he heard what was going on he squeezed us in at the end of the day - texts kept us appraised of the arrival time/fees. It was late - little after 6 - Bob was very pleasant. Took his time in running all the diagnostics and explaining each step along the way to us. It was sad news - bad compressor. He gave us an ball park estimate for repair but told us he would do more research to make sure the rest of the frig would last (2009 frig) and when parts would be available. We asked Bob for his opinion on new frig based on our requirements and he helped us with that decision to narrow down the field. Bob spent a lot of time with us - the cost was very reasonable ($89). What ever appliance issues we have in the future we will be calling Bob for sure.

Mr. Bob was in-depth and HONEST! Who does that these days? Mr. Bob gave me expert explanation of the parts, which I am familiar with and what the problem IS! And stated that it would not be cost effective to repair! Who does that these day?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Bob listened to my concerns and expressed empathy and a resolution that did not just put money in his pocket! And leave the customer in a worser dilemma! Who does that these day! My business and referrals goes to Mr. Bob! It was an absolute pleasure talking with Mr. Bob!

On time. Adjusted to my availability. Great communication on phone and in person. By the time Bob arrived he'd developed a plan and went right to work. Answered all questions. Provided choices. I feel I received value for the visit. Fair price.

The problems were diagnosed. The refrigerator was fixed. It is not worth the money to fix the washer.

Excellent, Bob arrived in the allotted time, performed diagnostics to find out the issue, replaced the broken part and got my fridge/freezer working. He was respectful, explained all he was doing, wore a mask and gloves. Bob is a lovely chap, I would definitely hire him again for any further appliance needs.

It went amazingly well. Bob called me as soon as I requested his services through Angie's list. I explained the issue and he clearly explained what he needed to do. I scheduled for him to come over and he did some test and was able to figure out what the issue was pretty quickly. He was prompt & professional. I will highly recommend his company to my family and friends.

Called and asked if could come early. I left work. Had to call back to find out where they were. Was told got another call and decided to take it...after I left work early. Called me at end of original appointment window to say on his way but wanted to make sure I was there because if he was driving to my house he wanted to get paid. I told him not to come.

Bob was unable to repair the ice maker but he prepared me for this. He said that there was a number of things that could be wrong and he was trying to rule them out systematically. The reason for the grade is: 1. He was two hours late. 2. While resetting the system, he kept wanting to repair another issue with the ice maker. I understood that the other issue was the cause of the problem but there is no point in fixing this issue if I can't have ice. 3. He sat out in his truck for 15 minutes trying to figure out a bill and when he came back in, I was told I was being charged $89 for the visit and then more for an extra half hour? 4. He showed up completely unprepared (I had to provide the heater source the thawing of the ice maker) and I still do not have an ice maker. 5. I shouldn't have to pay for each visit for him to systematically rule out each issue. I should have just let Samsung repair it and paid their price. I could have saved this $133.

Very good. Bob Ruth identified the problem and explained it to me. He gave me the cost of repair and the cost of a new washer. I decided on a new washer.

The AmTech technician called me right away after contacting them through Angie's List. They were able to set me up with an appointment right away. The technician was able to diagnose the problem to about 95% confidence over the phone by using my description of the problem and researching/studying the product schematic for my Electrolux dryer. He was able to order the suspected part within 24 hours and arrived on-time/as-scheduled with the part and confirmed it to be correct within 20 minutes. The technician was able to explain to me how the dryer heating element works and how it fails and showed me how the failure was visible on the part. He replaced the part, ran tests and everything was up and running within an hour. I soon after had my refrigerator freezer fail and called AmTech direct (not through Angie's List. They scheduled promptly, arrived on time and diagnosed the problem (one of two compressors or a leak or both) quickly. The technician explained that he could try to use a stop-leak product, but it was more likely the compressor. And, if the leak stopped, it would likely be temporary until it started leaking again. And. if it didn't stop the leak, then I would have to replace the compressor. He advised that the cost of the repair would be about 60% of the value of the fridge and recommended that it would be more advantageous to replace the fridge (which they do not sell, so it wasn't a ploy to sell me a new fridge). Two days later, the other compressor failed, so if we had spent the money replacing the first compressor, we would have needed to replace the fridge any way, within the next two days. So, they saved us a lot of money by being honest (they could have easily talked me into a repair, but didn't). The technician was very friendly, courteous, intelligent and clean. The cost was very reasonable. From now on, I will call them any time I have an appliance that needs to be repaired.

I had a 9 year old Whirlpool that wasn't cooling, both freezer and refrigerator. Called late morning and Bob was onsite that afternoon same day. Very professional and knowledgeable; the problem turned out to be the thermostat. Bob found a part locally and I was back up and cooling by early evening. Great service!
