To start, we found them on Angie's list and had a $45.00 service call off coupon. So this is why we used them. Randy Jr was courteous in the initial appt phone calls. Initially, our 8:30 AM appt. was for 1/10/13 and was moved to 8:30 AM 0n 1/11/13, then moved back to 1/10/13 AM because we had a personal appt. that moved. The company had no problem with moving our plumbing appts around; they said (Randy Jr) had appts. open. First, the plumber that was sent by the company, to our home, on 1/10/13, told us he was a part of their 'commercial" plumbing division and that he was not familiar with residential billing. He didn't want to "fool with money", and refused to take a (check) payment from us after the service was performed on 1/10/13. In fact, he did not/would not give us a "receipt" for services rendered. Then, he broke our gate valve towards the end of the appt. on 1/10/13 he racked up about 20 additional mins. ($88.00 @ hr) trying to repair/turn on the gate valve (outside water shut off/on valve) that he, himself, had broken. We called the company on 1/10/13 and spokeswomen (answered phone) said they would come by the next day 1/11/13 and have him repair the valve "free of charge" and to do some additional work, in our kitchen, IF we wanted him to. The next morning (1/11/13) we got a phone call first thing (7:30 AM) from Randy, Jr. (ie-owners son) telling us that 'they' would NOT pay for the broken valve, because its not their responsibility one of their plumbers broke a gate valve, because he said they break all the time, and it would cost us $40.00 (brass valve parts) to have the plumber, that broke the valve it in the first place, come out and repair it. We were not happy about having to do that, since we didn't break it, and let him know that we felt we didn't really have a choice, because we are on a tight budget, (didn't know when another plumbing company could come out and fix it, or how much they would charge us to fix it), but we paid the additional $40.00. In conclusion, before the valve incident and conversation with Randy Jr, we had seriously considered using them to come out and finish our minor renovations, (ie- possibly moving our dishwasher/sink a few feet) in our kitchen...but when their plumber broke our gate valve, and then they MADE US PAY FOR THE VALVE, that all changed. He came out to fix the valve on 1/11/13, and we paid for the valve, however, we will not use them again in the future.

I did not use them as their quote was $10K higher than the other two quotes from two different bidders.

they came after I had a terrible time with the plumbing co. that my AHS company attempted to send to my home.Not only did this company want the money AHS was going to pay them. they wanted 377.00 from me as well.After this company had raised their price that I would have to pay from 1501.00 , to 277.00 and finally 377.00 I told AHS not to send those crooks to my home, instead I would hire my own. Joined Angies list and found this company They were GREAT. After fighting with this other company for about two weeks, I found a professional yet friendly, helpful company. They also suggested a better way for me to save a few dollars as well as gave a Angies list discount

They do a lot of work for me, and they are out here once or twice a week, doing different projects. They do a good job, and clean up after themselves like good pro’s do. I don’t have any problem with them.

Faucet installation was fast and efficient. They were able to come the day I phoned and were professional as well as prompt. I also asked them to check a toilet that was running and the plumber fixed it in 1 minute! I am very happy with the job they did and the price quoted was exactly what I paid. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again

I think their estimate was for $4700. They were prompt. I will use their services again in the future.

American Plumbing called to discuss the work needed before scheduling the repair. I asked that when they got to the house check out the problem and call me before starting the repair. Randy Jr. called shortly after the crew determined what was needed and explained they had to re-set to toilet. It needed to be properly set on the floor, and a new wax seal as well. For the kitchen they connected the Insinkerator, an instant water heater. This product is connected to both the plumbing electricity. When the work was completed, they recommended an electrician. The electrician called the next day, and came later that day to wire the Insinkerator.

Two nice men arrived at appointment time. Took about 5 minutes to determine the problem and another 10 minutes to complete job. They even cleaned the tub before leaving! I was impressed!! Good experience. Will definitely use this company again.

They did a great job, better than I expected. They even told me about a coupon they had in a local magazine, so they ended up saving me money. I definitely plan to use them again.

This company surely does quality work and offers exceptional services. They are prompt and courteous in your home. They do very accurate work and care about making you happy. Unfortunately, their prices are so high that I probably would not use them again. I was still impressed with the time and effort they put into doing the work correctly at my home and would recommend them to others who have a budget higher than mine.

They are punctual. They did a good job. The price is going rate. They what they were hired to do.

The boss came out and told me that American Plumbing Contractors were expensive right upfront because they use a high quality product. I saw the work that they did in the past and was very impressed. These guys took their time and did a great job.

I would use American Plumbing Contractors again, because they were on time and knew how to fix my problem. I was not inconvenienced by their work, and they worked pretty fast to get it done. They were professional and explained to me what had to be done before starting the work.
