Description of Work: Serviced two AC units in house, replaced air filters. One of the filters was an annual filter and installed a nest thermostat. Guy showed up on time and was very professional in his work. Gave me some good guidance on how to save some money next time through. He was very knowledgeable of his trade, enjoyed working for his company and the rate was very reasonable for everything completed.

We are sincerely sorry for not connecting with you personally. When we checked with the sales person assigned to your Angie's List submission, we found that he did call the number you provided but he was not able to speak to you personally. We confirmed that he called based on his cell phone's call log. His mistake, however, was not calling back until he was able to connect personally. We usually bat 1000 with our quick follow up but we sure struck out this time! If you still need assistance and are willing to give us a second chance, we have a special discount we will apply to help make up for your inconvenience.

Description of Work: Came out to troubleshoot poor heating on my 10 year old heat pump. I knew the interior air handler needed a lot of cleaning but having a bad back, I was unable to clean the interior coils and requested the technician to do so. I was told that he didn't have the time to do the requested cleaning. More interested in telling me I needed a new unit.

We are sorry we did not live up to your expectations with the service we provided. We questioned the technician and learned that the age of your system and the condition of the coil in question made a comprehensive coil cleaning risky to your pocketbook. When the coils are in such poor condition, the cleaning process itself can cause fractures in the metal and refrigerant leaks can develop since the coil has to be cut out, removed, and cleaned outside of its housing. This would have made your dirty coil problem even worse and the technician didn't want you to spend money for the cleaning with the possibility of making matters worse for you. It seems obvious that our technician could have explained this to you much better than he did but he truly was looking after your best interest. Please call us and ask for Carl and he will explain things further.

Regularly cleaning the coils, checking wiring connections, electrical components, motors, refrigerant pressures, and flushing the condensate line will help keep your system in good working order.
