Service man called back on Sunday and said that, "An AC unit can only cool down to 20 degrees max from the outside temperature." I explained that couldn't be possible because we'd always kept the inside cooler. He then continued to give me a lecture on how hot it was. He talked to me like I was a dumb blonde. I'm blond but I'm not dumb.

We bid out this job to several companies. Curtis was fantastic on the Sales and support side - he was incredibly knowledgable and was able to answer any and all pre-sales questions we had concerning work to be performed, options, estimates, etc. Completely custom-tailored to our budget, with sensible options. Honest, responsive and professional. They arranged for a two-man installation crew to perform the work, and they did a superb job! Their install was tight, clean and buttoned-up in all regards with the Carrier equipment they installed. They walked us through details of the smart thermostat controls we opted for and Curtis provided an option for our Apple Homekit® compatible thermostat request. Air McCall followed up with an optional vent cleaning service after the install with a separate crew who also did an amazing job! Our 15- year old unit is now running with a brand new 15-SEER system with Dehumidifier that is working GREAT! We were so impressed we had them come back out and do the same for our second unit, which we had planned for the following year. All done now with TWO completely new systems working together flawlessly! Could not be happier with the work performed and the professionalism of the company - AirMcCall should be on your list for A/C - great sales, fair pricing and professional service and installation!

Overall it went very well. My old Carrier heat pump and air handler pooped out late on a Tuesday afternoon (July 10th) and had to be replaced, per recommendation of my cousin (does not work for Air McCall), who is a heating and air conditioning technician. My cousin had his company's sales manager call me the next morning (July 11th) and I met with him around noon to discuss his proposal. I usually get 3 bids for high-ticketed items, but I had to get this system replaced ASAP, since my brother, who had just left the hospital from triple by-pass heart surgery (July 9th) and was staying with my sister and niece (a second house I own) to recuperate. So, I came to Angie's List to search for a second company and saw the excellent reviews for Air McCall. I also looked at Google reviews (higher rating than other company) and checked the company's reputation with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Not only was Air McCall an accredited member of the BBB with an A+ rating, but the company had 12 positive reviews and only 4 negative reviews (all settled satisfactorily). Whereas my cousin's company had an A+ rating, was not an accredited BBB member and had 16 negative reviews over 3 year period (all handled satisfactory) and no positive reviews. When I talked to Mr. Toby Rich, I explained my urgency, and he came to give me his proposal mid-afternoon of the day I called (July 11th)). There was a HUGE difference between Mr. Rich's professional assessment and explanation of what was needed and what was included, and that other sales person's proposal. There was also a $2,100.00 difference in quoted pricing, with Air McCall's being the lower proposal. The Air McCall price quote was for a 3-ton heat pump with a 15 SEER rating, whereas the other proposal was for a 2.5 ton and 14 SEER system. Air McCall offered me a free 3-year warranty on parts and service, whereas, the other company only offered the typical 1 year warranty on parts and service (both systems came with a 10 year manufacturer's warranty). Furthermore, Mr. Rich explained that the system he was proposing was eligible for Clay Electric's Smart Energy Rebate and for that unit it was $175 dollars off my electric bill. Additionally, Mr. Rich sent me a far more detailed proposal with the quoted pricing, along with system brochures, by email later that evening. I was originally told they could install the new system Saturday or Sunday, but when I sent the signed contract to Air McCall and called Mr. Rich the next morning, he said he went ahead and put my house on the install schedule for Friday (July 13th), just in case I accepted the proposal. I was told that the technicians would be at the house some where between noon and 1:00PM, since another job was scheduled earlier Friday morning. I was also told it will take approximately 5-6 hours to take out the old system and install the new one. Well, the technicians did not arrive until 4:00PM, since they had to do an installation at the other job. They said they usually don't do 2 installations in a day, since they take so much time. However, they never complained and I told them how much I appreciated them working an extra long day, given my brother's serious surgery. They had to eat the fast food they had picked up, before they could start (understandable), but went right to work soon after eating. They worked continuously and finished up at 10:00PM, after showing us how to use the thermostat, change the filters, etc., and processed the payment. Both were very polite and did an excellent job on the installation. It took a few hours to cool the house off, but my poor brother said he slept like a baby. In fact, he said he got a little too cold. The system has been performing very well since the installation and I am sure my sister will see a nice drop in her electric bill. I had to contact Air McCall after the installation to arrange for them to pick up a Freon cannister that the technicians had been left behind (otherwise job site was clean). I also contacted Mr. Rich to arrange for the Clay Electric Smart Rebate forms to be sent by email, which he promptly did. Plus the Air McCall office called me the following Saturday to schedule the Clay County inspector to come on a day convenient to me. The Clay County inspector came on the appointed day and only took a few minutes to inspect and approve the system as installed according to code. I must add that Mr. Rich was very responsive to my emails or calls, even after normal business hours. I even had the company's Vice President call me late at night, to respond to an email I had sent regarding a Freon cannister left behind (a service tech came to pick it up the next day). When I received the Clay Electric form and the needed AHRI certificate that must accompany the form, all of the required technical information on the form was filled in for me. Additionally, went I went to register my new system with Carrier Corporation, I found that Air McCall had already registered the new system for me, with all of the correct information. Overall, I feel I was treated fairly and honestly, and think it very refreshing to find a company that understands the importance of customer service and professionalism. We had never used Air McCall, but will be using them for future maintenance and repair service. We will also recommend them to any of our friends, relatives or neighbors that need heating or air conditioning service.

Went very well. Quote was competitive. Technicians did a very good job. Removed old 3.5 ton ac and smaller ductwork. installed new 4 ton ac unit and new ductwork. Cleaned up after. Technician Duct cleaning was expertly done. Cleaned up after.

Our air-handler appeared to be leaking water in our attic causing the ceiling in our garage to drip and form a large area that looked like it would cave in. After getting no help from the company who has our maintenance agreement, I found Air McCall on Angie's List. They came out, assessed the situation, temporarily fixed the problem stopping the leak and came back quickly to put a long term solution in place that should have been done at installation by the other company. Courtney at Air McCall and the office staff were great! I highly recommend Air McCall if you need help with your a/c. Pricing is reasonable and they don't try to "upsell" like so many of the other companies do! They just fix the problem. So glad they were listed and for all of the reviews to help us make the call!

My 96-year-old mom's A/C went out last week. Temps were in the upper 90s. We called another company and not only were they expensive but they couldn't get anyone out there for 2 weeks! My husband reminded me that AirMcCall had put in our A/C about 5 years ago. I wasn't sure they serviced mom's area, but they did. Rob was extremely helpful in setting everything up and pushing to get Mom's unit installed at the fastest pace possible. Within 2 days of my urgent call, her unit was installed, the ducts were cleaned and everything up and running. Mom reported that the men from Air McCall were extremely hard-working. She also says it is nice and cool in the house now. Her caregivers are also grateful for relief from the heat. Just want to say a huge thank you to Rob and AirMcCall for their excellent, timely and reasonably priced service. We couldn't be more pleased!

Air McCall was one of five Companies interviewed. Rob was supposed to meet me at 10:00 and ran a little to my meeting (10:45) and was a little rushed since I had to leave at 11:10 to go to a luncheon. Although his personality and professionalism helped me overcome his tardiness! Installation was supposed to be between 8:30 & 9:30 and I was told that the crew would call me prior to arrival. They were prompt and showed up at the house at 8:35, but no one called me to give me the "heads up" of ETA, I was in the shower when they showed up for the install so I caused them a slight delay in starting their Monday morning install. They were fine and mentioned that the office was supposed to call me and did not. They did have to run back to the office to get the correct size drip pan (attic) but the other associate was able to continue working until he returned. Once they completed the installation, I texted Rob and told him that I was very happy with the HVAC install. They were kind, courteous and very professional!

We needed a new heat pump. Received 3 bids, Air McCall was mid range. Installation and cleanup went perfect, very pleased.

It was very good. the technician gave us all of the details and he found nothing wrong when he did the inspection.

Overall, my experience was exceptional. From the owner/partner coming out to give me recommendations and an estimate, to the majority of the installation. The main reason for B’s is site clean-up after install, and oversight of the newer installer that forgot to braze a line, kept putting the gauge set lines/connections in loose dirt, and the system going down shortly after the team left. Fortunately, the issue was remedied over the phone through the Carrier thermostat. Nonetheless I feel that the overall experience, value, and customer service by owners and staff was a solid A-.

From first visit of repair person through installation of system every interaction and service performed was excellent. Price was competitive, personnel were professional and competent. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Great! He was very nice and full of conversation. He helped me understand the dos and donts and even wrote down some tips for me so that I could keep everything well maintained.

They did a great Job. Quick, clean, and professional. The crew was friendly, worked well together and answered all our questions. What more could you ask for. We are very satisfied with there work.

The tech found it was a minor part failure, and replaced the small part instead of trying to sell a major repair.

When they replaced it, the second day it broke, so they had to come back out. It was something minor, but still it was just the fact that I just paid you and it's not working. He came back the same day and fixed it.
