They were great with the outdoor install but the inside the ran into a problem with the door & instead of cutting a line around the framing before pulling it loose, they just pulled it down. This resulted in tearing away some of the newly painted wall down to the sheet rock. Also when they re-installed the frame it was not done correctly & is cracked & loose. They also scuffed up the wall opposite so we will have to be repainting it as well. The rest of their work was wonderful & the system works great.
Description of Work: After doing the inital $49.00 visit it was determined that we needed a whole new system.

We really do take pains to make sure we are as careful as we can be so this stuff doesn't happen so I'm very disappointed I didn't hear about this from my install crew. I wasn't there at the time so they called me with the diagnosis and let me know when they were completed in roughly two hours. I do like that they called for authorization to do extra work for me. They also instructed my tenant on the proper installation of new filters.

Courtney (service rep) arrived on time, was dressed professionally and greeted me with a friendly hello. He checked the electrical, amps, coils, filters, thermostat, unit operation, refrigerant pressure, etc and vacuumed out the drain line. When he was finished he carefully explained what he found and was ready to answer any questions I might have. They have been my service provider for about 6 years, after being disappointed by the previous 10 companies I tried. I would recommend this company to everyone.

WE DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL REQUESTING CONTACT and, consequently, there was no response from us. The customer did not supply a phone number so we have asked our Angies List representative to investigate this customer's review statements to determine why we did not receive the customer's request. Unfortunately, it appears to be a system glitch that at this time is unresolved.

Our A/C had stopped working completely, and in the middle of June in Florida this is what I consider to be an emergency !! :) I called Air McCall early afternoon and they got a technician out to our residence the same day, as promised, even though it was about 8:30/9:00pm before he could make it over from the job he was working on. Thomas was obviously very knowledgeable and quickly determined the problem(s) and very thoroughly took care of them. He checked out the system to make sure he had found and fixed all the issues. Not only was Thomas extremely good at his job but he was very friendly and personable also. We will definitely turn to Air McCall for all of our future Cooling/Heating needs and will recommend them to anyone in need of these services. Very professional from initial contact to job well handled. Kudos !!

I found Air McCall through Angieslist to have my air condition unit serviced. On the date of my appointment technician Thomas B was sent to my home. When he arrived he was polite, professional, and ready to work. He took the time to explain what he was doing, was very thorough, very customer oriented and answered any questions I had. In addition Thomas made me aware of the Air McCall Heat Pump& Air Condition Service And Maintenance Agreement. After he explained the benefits and again answered any questions I agreed to sign the agreement. Overall I was very happy with Thomas B with Air McCall. Because of Thomas I will use Air McCall for all my home A/C/Heat Pump needs. If you are reading this review I highly recommend anyone to use Air McCall. I hope you are as fortunate to have Thomas B sent to you house.

They are fantastic. Did a fantastic job. Very reasonably priced. They came out right away, and when I needed service they were out in 24 hours and took care of everything. They didn't even charge me for the service call. They were there about 45 minutes and made everything perfect. They are so reliable and have excellent pricing. Always on time. Very respectful. Great service.They left my house cleaner after they left than when they got there. They are very professional, nice, and knowledgable. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Air McCall did a great job for us. We got off to a bit of a rocky start due to some technical problems (not their fault), and the CEO (Carl) personally engaged to make sure the project got back on the right track. His hands on approach to ensure our satisfaction was noteworthy. We're very happy and will certainly use them again!

I just wish he had told me that they weren't interested in bidding on the job rather than promising something and delivering nothing. I fin this very disappointing.
Description of Work: I called to get an estimate to install some new ducts in three rooms on my first floor. Robert was very quick to come out and look at the job. At the time he said he'd have an estimate for the work to me within a couple days; however, when I hadn't heard back from him in two weeks, I called him again. I left two messages, then finally reached him on the third try. He apologized thinking that he had sent the estimate to me then promised to have it to me when he got back to the office to check on it. That was now almost a month ago and still don't have an estimate. I've given up on ever getting one and am not sure that I would have their company do the work anyway.

I didn't hear from Air McCall on Friday so I called another air conditioner service recommended by a co-worker. The technician serviced my unit on Tuesday 5/27. He also did a leak check. He didn't find any leaks in the refrigerant coils or any of the exposed lines. He did find a leak in the vapor line service value. It was loose. He tightened the service value and then evacuated the system, pulled a vacuum, and reloaded the system with R22 coolant. He did another leak check and found no leaks. By far the most expensive element of the service call was the cost of the R22 coolant. The unit has been running fine since 5/27.
Description of Work: Service Technician Thomas arrived on time. He did an inspection of the unit and told me it was low on coolant. He recommended a leak search. I agreed to the leak search. He was not able to find a leak and recommended putting nitrogen in the unit to find the leak. He told me I wouldn't be able to use the unit after he used the nitrogen. The unit would have to be purged and coolant added. I agreed to use the nitrogen to find the lead. Once the nitrogen was in the unit Thomas told me there was a leak in the coil and since it was an old unit I should replace the unit. The cost of replacing the coil would be almost as much as replacing the unit. He measured the interior unit and made a drawing and told me I would be called on Friday with the cost of a new unit and repairing the old unit. I gave him a check for the service call and the leak check and he left.

Yikes, since we have an 'A+' rating with the BBB and just earned the "Super Service Award" from Angie's List, it's a shock to see Mr. [member name removed] negative review. I personally reviewed what our technician did and found that he adhered to our diagnostic protocol in this instance. The a/c system is 21 years old, rusty in several areas, and was very low on refrigerant so the technician did a refrigerant leak search with sophisticated leak detection equipment that emits a beep when a leak is detected. The technician in question has a good deal of experience and, in his opinion, the leak was in the top portion of the condensing coil. Since we must use a factory coil for replacement, we are at the mercy of the manufacturer regarding the repair cost and this coil was very expensive thus making the repair expensive to the customer. Consequently, the technician referred Mr. [member name removed] to our Sales Division to provide a proposal to replace the system versus the repair. Prior to our Sales Associate contacting Mr. [member name removed], the second technician from another company diagnosed the refrigerant leak being in a valve that he said was loose. While 95% of refrigerant leaks are found in the coil itself (not service valves), it is possible that that our technician mis-diagnosed the leak. If Mr. [member name removed] would have called our office to provide the information contained in this review, I would have sent another Senior Technician to his home at no charge to perform another leak search. If this second leak search confirmed what the other company's technician found, I would promptly have refunded Mr. [member name removed] the $164 he paid for our service and apologized for our error. So, I offer that same service to Mr. [member name removed] at this point as well. I will gladly send our Senior Technician to perform another leak search with state-of-the-art leak detection equipment and if we don't find the condenser coil to be leaking I will issue a full refund of $164. Steve showed up on time and assessed all of the equipments. He found some items that needed attention and promptly fixed them. There were no extra charges and we will definetly use AirMcCall in the future if we have any problems with our A/C system

Thomas, from Air McCall, arrived on time and started right away with the inspection. While he was working, we asked for some information about air duct cleaning....of which he was both knowledgeable and helpful....and we will have that performed by their crew in the near future. The capacitor for our unit wasn't working fully so we decided to have it replaced to avoid a future emergency call. He had the correct part on his truck, as well as a new wall thermostat (which we have been wanting to replace for some time now) so meant we didn't have to wait on parts and schedule another appointment. Needless to say, service was both friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend Air McCall to anyone needing air conditioners or service on existing units.

I called a technician when my unit stop working and he arrived on time. After inspection, it was discovered that the compressor is grounded. I decided to replace the unit with a new one since my unit is already 12 years old and i don't want to keep paying for maintenance and repairs plus i would rather get rid of R-22 refrigerant. The sales manager, Robert Battinnelli did a great job explaining everything that needs to get done and everything is written in detail in the proposed work contract. Tommy and Darren came 15 minutes early ( schedule is at 8:30 a.m.)and were able to replace the units just right after 12 p.m. 7 May 2014. They were very professional and courteous. They did an excellent job and very satisfied by their work.

Our technician was Guy Davis. Guy called me ahead of schedule and ask if he could be there early. Of course I said yes. Guy arrived in uniform, asked me some questions about the system, brought in gauges, tools and lines that I have no idea what they are used for, and went to work. He Inspected the air handler, the outside unit, and the thermostat. Guy did find where someone had taken the wires off the float switch quickly tested the float switch and reconnected the wires. It's important to note that guy did not rush through this process. It was easy to see that he was thorough and methodical in his inspection. When the process was complete, Guy gave me a written report on his findings , Discussed his professional recommendations for the system, and his business card. .I completely recommend Guy Davis and Air McCall. They are now our HVAC company
