Very pleased and would recommend Affordable Water.

Excellent service, reasonable pricing, professional. No pressure on sales call - very informative, explained all options and various pricing of equipment. Called them because of Angie's list and a recommendation from another customer down the street. Glad I did. I've heard that there are a few predatory water softner sales organizations in the area and I am glad I have Angie's list to avoid them.

Mark came out and tested our water. He was very informative and didn't try to sell us any additional services which was very refreshing in today's market. He was very nice and very helpful. We scheduled installation of a rental unit for 8/31. The service technician, Eric, came out on time and was very nice. He was very knowledgeable about the product and gave me a good run down on the operation and what I was responsible for the unit. He was missing a few items to complete the installation, but said the company would get back to me to finish. Also, he accidentally cut into my main water line when drilling into the wall (not his fault). He assured me that someone would get back to me to fix the wall. I have complete confidence that someone will contact me and will submit a new review when someone does. UPDATE: The owners called and let us know they would be hiring someone to take care of the drywall. They came out today and did a good job. Thank you Affordable Water!

Mr. Kinder came to the house and was very helpful in suggesting what type of system would best fit our needs. The installers came out and added the necessary plumbing to get the water from the left front of the house to the garage on the right side where we wanted the water softener installed. The workmanship was very good and they cleaned up everything and left the house like no one had done any work there. The reverse osmosis system was installed under the kitchen sink and a line was run to the refrigerator as well as to a new faucet on the sink itself. Everything looks great and is working excellently. Goodbye hard nasty tasting water!

Mark Kinder, the owner, came to our house himself and explained to us about the water softener systems he had for sale and how they operated. (We were already price shopping around and were sold on purchasing a water softener). He looked around our house and recommended that the softener be installed in the garage and gave us a very good idea as to how it would be best installed and how long the labor would take. Luckily they had an open slot for installation the very next day so they were able to install the softener right away. The next day, the technicians installing the system were running a later than expected and were behind schedule due to the current job they were working on but the technicians called me promptly to let me know that they would be at my house later than expected. Overall, it took the technicians about 3-4 hours (if I remember right), and they stayed until the job was done! Now I have the best tasting water in my house and there are no more salt deposits on our shower doors and tile. The wife and kids love it and the water tastes great right out of the faucet! I am so glad I decided to shop around and ultimately check Angie's list for reputable water softener installers. Don't get conned into purchasing an unnecessary $5000.00 water softener from a door to door salesman.

From the moment I found them through Angie's List, the experience with Affordable Water has been perfect. My home is just over 10 years old and we recently decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a water softener. I first bought a system through Sears but after a debacle I cancelled that order and started looking at other big box store alternatives. After researching water softeners through a big box store versus buying from a specialist I thought to finally join Angie's List. I'm very glad I did because I never would have thought to call Affordable Water otherwise. I emailed my request for information. Terri emailed me information the very next day. The owner called me to set an appointment. He was prompt and thorough without being a pushy/scary salesman. One of his installers was willing to work on a Saturday which made me very happy given my work schedule. I am very pleased with the entire process and would highly recommend the company to anyone. I feel like I got a quality product at a fair price. I'm also very glad to support a local, small business and purchase a product made in America versus buying from a big box store.

From the first phone call for an estimate through the finished installation, everyone was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and honest. Great value and great service. I highly recommend.

Affordable Water has taken care of my water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water needs since 1994. I recently had them replace my water softener, not because it was broken, but because I wanted a whole-house chlorine removal system, and they had installed the original system in 1994....it was just time. I called Terry to make an appointment. Mark came out within a day and gave me an estimate (on a Thursday), and the system was installed on the following Monday. Installation took about 2 hours. Eveything works great. I have recommended Affordable Water for years. It's nice to finally have an internet forum on which to continue to do so.

I called for an appointment and my call was returned within an hour. The owner came to my house and presented different options based on my need. I decided on the system thaat was best for me and scheduled the installation. The installation was scheduled between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The installer (Eric Pulley) arrived at 9:15 am. He installed both the water softener and the reverse osmosis purifier system. He answered every question I asked and showed me how everything worked. He explained that the company could delivery the salt and would fill up the tank when the delivery was made. Also that water testing could be performed if I left the hot and cold water bottles for the delivery dates. The office staff explained and signed me up for the monthly salt delivery and explained about the reminders that I would receive when maintenance needed to be performed. This is a very good company and the cost was exactly what I was told. If I need additional services that they offer I would definitely use them again or refer other to them.

We solicitated their services as a result of 2 recommendation (Angie's list and a local friend). Mark was prompt, professional, and knowledgable. It wasn't a simple installation as the prior owners had created several problems. But Affordable adressed each problem with knowledge and willingness to do the job right. They completed everything they promised and followed up after the job to make sure everything was done correctly. We couldn't be happier both with their service and with the quality of the water. Eric, the installer, arrived as scheduled and completed work in the timeframe I was told it would take. He explained exactly what he would be doing from start to finish. Left area clean. Eric was professional, very informative and has a great personality. I was going to use another company The C------n Man), however, after much research on the internet, reading reviews on Anglie's list, recommendations from three other individuaIs and the fact that others in my development have used their services, I choose Affordable Water. I am extremely satisfied with their work and with Eric.

We met with one of the owners of Affordable Water after receiving a couple of previous estimates to repair or replace our old water softener and fix the low water pressure issue we had in our home. He laid out our options and what the costs would be, and made us fee very at ease with both options. We chose to have the old water softener replaced. He committed to repair the faulty plumbing from the installation of the original water softener by a different company and helped us fix a couple of other issues we had related to our reverse osmosis system in the house. As promised, Affordable's crew showed up on time and completed all of the work that was promised. They were quick and efficient and did not add any additional costs to the original estimate. After a month using the new water softener, we are pleased to report that our water pressure problems are gone. Our water smells good and everything is working wonderfully. We would recommend Affordable Water to our family and friends. They are reliable, quick to respond and honest.

I did my homework, knew what I wanted. I could buy the unit on line for about $1100. But this unit is tricky to install. For about $400 more, I got a professional installation, a warranty, and service. The owner Mark knows his stuff. We're on an artisian well, he made some good recommendations about replumbing my system. I wanted a Fleck water softener, a dual tank system, very high capacity. My old system from Home Depot was dead. Fleck is top of the line, should last 10 years at least. It's not cheap, but it's quality. Turns out, Affordable uses Fleck heads. Good sign, quality equipment. My water was hard, 18 grains. After the system was installed, it's zero, zip, no calcium. My shower, and my dishes look new. We recently replaced the ice maker in an expensive fridge because of calcium build up. If you have hard water, you need one of these things, in the long run, it's cheaper.. I talked to "the other" guys in town. They wanted almost 3 grand, twice what Affordable charged. Affordable was recommended to me by friends who had a similar experience. Their office staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Professional installation, very reasonable price. No hard sell... Wish my other contractors were as professional..

Having done some research, but still having many questions, I contacted Affordable Water to see if they could help clarify some things for me. I immediately felt comfortable and not at all silly asking some of my very basic questions. I received very detailed information, including websites to visit and neighbors who had used their service. I made an appointment for the very next day to have our water softener installed. The gentleman was prompt and very friendly. About two weeks later I had a concern about the water softener and the same gentleman came within the hour to address my issue. I am so happy that we chose Affordable Water as our provider!

Estimate was performed on the same day I called. Mark was very professional without any high-pressure. Installer arrived when they said they would. The story is, I have used them twice and I am very very happy with their product, their service and their prices. So was my daughter. Since we moved into our house, we had noticed a buildup of hard water deposits around sink counter tops and showers, etc. We also had and continue to have issues with how our clothes do in the washer. We called Affordable water and spoke with Terri, who set up an appointment for her husband Mark to come out to our house for a consultation. Within a few days, I met with Mark and he checked our water (it was indeed hard) and spoke with me about a few recommendations for which water softener to choose. He did not push a high end product, just what we needed for the size of our house and family. We chose a model and Affordable Water had a couple of technicians install the unit a few days later. The two technicians were very professional while doing their work, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves when the completed the job. Unfortunately, our clothes still get a bit roughed up in the washer, something I thought soft water would fix. We have even purchased a front loading washer, which I thought would help the situation, but that did not help either. I have called and talked with Mark about this since then and he has not come up with any answers. Nevertheless, Affordable Water was a great company to work with with regards to the water softener.

We are very pleased that our glasses and silver have returned to normal. I took the hint from Heloise's column and soaked the glasses and silver in warm vinegar before putting them in the dishwasher.

We were not home when they installed the filtration system. When we called in regards to how to work it they stated they left a manual for us which I though to be unprofessional. I would consider hiring them in the future if we could resolve our communication issues with them.
