had a inspection on 01/06/2018 with a proposal offered. Fair price and due to the hardness of our water wanted to install prior to my re- pipe I called on 02/15 and spoke to two office staff. I wanted to have this company do the project but the representative wanted 10% to be paid up front which was not on the proposal. I decided to go with another company who didn't require any payment until the job was completed. I will say this company seemed to be a good company and Shane was very knowledgeable and appears to have a good product.

Affordable water was excellent. First service call was for service only. We discovered due to age of the unit, the resin needed to be repacked so the second call was for that. Both technicians were on time, neat and knew their trade. Very impressed with this company.

Their people and services are EXCELLENT ! On 12/08, Adam and another person came to my home and did estimate, measured the water hardness, answered all our questions. And then we signed the contract. They didn't push you at all to buy additional or fancy stuff which you may not really need. On 12/11, they sent a plumber to install the equipment (called us before coming) and it took him about 2 hrs to finish. Everything looked good. However, around 6pm, we found it leaked a little bit at one joint (not severe, dripping very slowly) so we called them. We thought they may fix it the second day or even later. However, they sent out another plumber immediately to my home to check/repair. He cut off the leaking part and installed a new pipe, also replaced a joint he thought it was not done perfectly. He came in at ~8pm and left at ~9:30pm. We had very pleasant conversation, by the way :) The system has been working beautifully since then. Their people are very polite and professional. Their services are excellent. We highly recommend this company !

They were wonderful. They did not try to sell me on something I didn't need or want. Other companies did. They were prompt with their information and service. They were honest and easy to work with. Would recommend them and will use them again.

He showed up on time and explained what he was going to do and preformed the Job in a timely manner,when the job was completed he explained what I had to do to maintain it.He clean up area and took old system with him.It was a pleasure doing business wth a company where everybody was so polite and helpful.

They're fine. The price varies depending on how much I order. It's just a delivery of salt. I guess they're fine. They call me and then they show up. I don't have any problems with them. They come when they are supposed to come. I would prefer they give a time that they're coming, but they don't. That would be easier. I have no complaints about the company.

Good job from beginning to end. Everything went just according to our understanding and we are very, very happy with our soft water. Additionally we have them deliver salt to us and it is only a very little bit above what I would pay retail for bags of salt. Biggest compliment I can think of is that I don't think about them much as everything works right.

They automatically phone me before they come out to replenish the salt, and they always check in on how I need. I have had a very positive experience with them from the start, and the water softener continues to work great.

First of all....I didn't purchase the service through Angie's list...but I just saw on their website that they do offer their service through Angie's List. I purchased a water softening system in 2009 from Affordable Water after I moved here and discovered all my glassware was cloudy after coming out of the dishwasher. Residue was building up in the dishwasher and in the washing machine. I did some research and found that the hard water in our area of Florida can cause long term damage to many appliances. So...my parents (who had moved here the previous year) recommended Affordable Water because they had purchased a system from them. My problems were resolved! No more reside on dishes, skin and hair much better in the shower, etc., until Jan 2016 when I started noticing the previous issues with hard water. I called Affordable Water, and they said it may be a bad "resin bed," and advised that those need to be replaced about every 8 years, and the replacement cost is around $250. They came out, replaced the bed, and a small motor. I was completely satisfied because this was the first time I ever needed maintenance on the 7-1/2 year-old system. A few days later, I sensed that the system wasn't working properly, so I called and asked if they could send some out to test it. The next day, the owner, Mark, personally came out and tested the water that came through the softener, and compared it to other water that had not been softened. He spent over an hour going through several areas of my house to ensure it was working. Bottom line....it was working properly. About 30 minutes after he left, Mark called me to say that he had called back to the office with some questions about my system, and had discovered that they had originally installed the wrong system in 2009, and that I had actually paid for an upgraded system. Then he told me that, because they had installed the wrong system 7 years earlier, and since I had just paid over $300 for maintenance, he would install a new, upgraded system at no charge to me! I just called them a few minutes ago to schedule the installation of the new system, and Terri set up the appointment for the day I requested - 3 days from now. They have definitely earned my future business, and I told my parents about their great service so they can pass it on to their neighbors. I wish more business owners were this honest and concerned with taking care of customers.

Excellent company. They listened to my needs and were able to identify the right product. They helped me with some timing issues and provided detailed instructions on how to use the system. Great, great company!

I have no complaints. The installation went smooth and everyone was very professional. With a new baby in the house we love having the water softener.

My father is in his 80s and needs help to manage his home. His water softener was at least 20 yrs old, if not older, and no longer working. After doing my research on Angie's List, I decided to call Affordable Water because of their reputation for quality service and products at a reasonable cost. Plus, they carried the highly rated Fleck brand of water softening system I was looking for. I was not disappointed. After calling that morning, I met with Mark, the owner's son (it's a family owned and run business) that afternoon. He came out to the house, looked at the old unit, answered all my questions and made his recommendation for what he thought would meet our needs best. The price was very reasonable. Two days later, Affordable Water came back as scheduled and installed both the water softener and water purification unit in one afternoon...no delays, no problems, no hidden extra charges. The week after that, I received a phone call from Affordable Water to schedule for salt delivery, so my father would get salt delivered as needed. Now that he was added to Affordable's Water's salt route, the company will handle checking and adding salt to the system only as needed. This service is also very inexpensive... they check the salt level for you and you only get charged if salt is actually needed at that time. Best of all, my elderly father doesn't have to lift and pour heavy bags of salt himself. FYI, we are also pleased with the Nimbus water purification system that was installed under the sink. It has it's own separate faucet and provides noticeably better tasting water that is free of contaminants. Very happy with this purchase as well. Overall, my experience with Affordable Water has been excellent and I highly recommend them.

If everything was this easy life would be great. From the first call to the office to the installation, everything went so smooth. AND the following call and letter were the way things used to be in the days of great customer service. I would Highly recommend this company for anything they do.

This company is awesome! I have used them at two different properties and have had a great experience at both. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is personable and professional. They installed my water softener as well as reverse osmosis drinking system. They made the piping invisible and put it behind the walls (unlike another company that quoted me twice the price and wanted to drill holes in the wall with exposed piping). They also worked with a granite company to put a hole in the counter top to install a drinking water faucet. All was completed in about 5 hours and the system has been working great since. They are also very good about salt delivery and maintenance of the system. I will definitely continue to recommend them!

Called Mark at Affordable Water--he came out at no charge to look over my old culligan water softener that seemed to no longer function--it was going though 360 lbs of salt every 2 weeks and water pressure was getting low. Mark looked over the situation and gave us a number of options including having culligan fix the unit (I have been very disappointed with Culligan the times they came to the house to fix the unit beforehand) or he could replace the unit with a new unit that they sell. I decided based on age and the product that Mark was selling was a better long term solution and decided to replace the Culligan unit with am Ultimate II D unit. This unit is demand generated which is based on how much water I use versus the old unit that was on a timer and it went off regardless of whether I needed it or not. Barry came out--called beforehand and let us know he was coming early. He removed the old unit and correctly piped in the new unit to code (the old unit was installed so close to the water heater that you could not remove the water heater element). Once the unit was installed, he tested the water and made sure water was flowing at a good water pressure throughout the house. He programmed the unit, and showed me want to do if there was a long power outage. THe area was cleaned up and everything so far has worked great. Very happy with the new unit--smaller and more compact and much much easier to operate than the old unit. Was a very no pressure sale which is nice. Everyone was very professional.
